That soldering iron is the mini ware ts101 it’s an absolute beast, and so convenient to use with usb-c. That intro was sick💪, looking forward to the next podcast episode
That’s the one! Podcasts are put on hold for a little bit just as I really try to nail quality in some of the upcoming videos. Not being abandoned, just on hold ✌️
ur not wrong about the flux, but a better way to explain it is the flux rips away the layer of oxidation on the metal and allows the solder to tin it easier
I broke the same switch at rightside since day 1, now I shorten all these switches by cutting it away using Dremel rotary tool. Saw you removed the handle maybe it is a good idea too, I try to flip these handle to make it compact but the handle is blocking external module's antenna. TX16s is awesome, finished you video and found that we have very similar setup except the G2 goggles. I bring additional multimeters and skew, no flux, xiaomi wowstick, dji V2 bag for analog antenna.
Tip for stick ends rather than paying 30usd.... Grab a $5 brass insert pack... 33D print off thingiverse a set of thumb grips the same.. insert with soldering iron..... walah 30c stick ends :) TBH this kinda applies to everything FPV. I printed face formers for my Cobra goggles so now fit perfect. Camera mounts, bag straps to convert a normal backpack to externally mount a quad. Quad wall mounts/desk stands. So on and so forth
Kia Ora! Interesting video. After 2 years of FPV, I still don't have a proper toolkit (just random tools scattered in the house). I guess I'll start one based on what you have. It would be interesting to know what you have in your bag when you travel. Doing FPV + bringing normal camera gear is difficult equation when you need to be lite. I watched another video where you said the Avata is your best travel FPV drone, and I think I agree with you because of the convenientness of the system. You said you only took this bag in Bali for two weeks. Hell yeah I don't know how you fit or organized all your stuff and clothes inside haha!
I went VERY minimal to Bali! One decent crash and it wouldn’t all been over with the Avata honestly. Only had spare props haha Travelling with FPV gear is a hard one, and I haven’t found anything more compact than the Pavo Pico, however that’s not a great solution for longer range flights either
Hey, I see that you use CNHL Black batteries which I also use. After a while those sag really bad even if the internal resistance isn't even high. If you get new LiPos I can highly recommend the CNHL Ministar, they are lighter and don't sag as bad when they get older
To be real with you I haven’t noticed a difference whatsoever (Which is ideal haha), adds more rigidity to the build which I love and doesn’t appear to compromise performance
I also got the tx16s. Im new to rc and drones; spent atleast 100hrs on simulator with ps5 controller before i ever got a radio or drone.. so when the radio got here it didnt feel right to me until i fitted playststion analog sticks to the gimbals 😂😅 You can see a preview of it on the community tab of my channel if your interested in just how goofy that looks 🤣🫣
@@BrodieReed lol yea you are right. I tend to be a lil stubborn about things like that so I insisted on changing my equipment over just adapting with time. Too impatient I guess 😅 that's alright tho cuz I been flying like this for about a year and it works great. I highly encourage new comers to the RC world that have tons of gaming experience to give it a shot; as well as mode 3 infact! People like me who fly planes and helicopters on video games may find it easier since your left gimbal will have the same bindings you would see in most games, like a GTA helicopter. I put like 6hours in on mode 2 and could not even make a turn without falling out of the sky but as soon as I went to mode 3 it just clicked like I'd been doing this for years
hahahah Everyone strugles with ELRS I started with ELRS in AIO FC just recently soldered an ELRS receiver in my first big drone but honestly never had issues with ELRS not until now... the coolest thing also is with you want fly my drone I can set my receiver into lending mode and anyone can bind their ELRS RC. and I continue using the telemetry is amazing.... and is much cheaper than Crossfire, also easier to find availability in the market, but crossfire is also great!
Hey mate, just one question for ya--what hair gel do you use? I'm just messing with ya. You won me over. I've watched a bunch of your videos over the last couple months and today is the day-- I'm subb'n ya bro! Keep up the awesome work!
Flux contains acid and removes oxidation from a pad. This allows solder to better flow onto the pad and stick to it. Ideally, any residual flux should be removed using alcohol to prevent corrosion. Keep making videos and shredding!
Production Quality is incredible my dude! Thanks for this video. You will for sure get more subs soon. stay on the grind dude!
Thanks mate! Appreciate the support ✌️
love the intro !
Thanksssss

Very cool! I honestly did not have a proper scientific understanding as such of what the flux was actually doing. Thanks for sharing ✌️
Bloody hell that was a dramatic intro mate, was waiting for the explosions in the background ahha
Epic music makes a walk through the park even better.
Great video ...Dude 😎. Happy flying...
Thanks! Happy flying to you too ✌️

Ahhh must be a switch problem not an ‘us problem’ 😉😂
Glad you dig the straps mate 💙💙👌
Hell yea! Next stage is try out a Luma Quad 😉
If you get a good flux-core solder it's really not necessary to use additional flux

Great advice my man! I love the idea of getting into the printing side of the hobby ✌️
Awesome videos Newbee drone makes a foam for the goggles2 and it is really nice and soft and about 3/4" thick. no light leak
Cool, thanks

Good video as always, love your investment in these videos well done keep it up😉😎
Thanks mate!!
You said the oven ?! Tf that’s genius bro 😎 omg am bout to revive a small fleet
Hahaha as long as you haven’t left them too long! Keep a good eye on it though
you forgot the OTG cable with betalight on your phone haha then you can change the rates on the go for testing haha amazing video man keep it up =)
Fuck me, That intro was so good, I was looking for the skip add button XD.
Great cinematography.
Hahahaha what a comment, love it 😂
what frame is better dead cat or squash x
DOPE INTRO
Thanks you!
What Nezgul drone is it
hey man what batterys would you suggest like 120 c or 100c and 1500mah i asume
Just wondering how the stubby antenna performs instead of a long one?
To be real with you I haven’t noticed a difference whatsoever (Which is ideal haha), adds more rigidity to the build which I love and doesn’t appear to compromise performance
@@BrodieReed I’ve never seen anyone do it before. I’m considering doing it to my quads, any suggestions?
@34degrees sure! I just wouldn’t do it to anything that you specifically use for long distance

Haha sounds like you just need to adapt to it, or if the PlayStation stick ends are working for you for now then that's awesome too!

Yeah I have a lot to explore with ELRS !

haha well currently I've shaved my hair off 😂
Appreciate the support mate!
dude u only had a bad problem with elrs bc it was a spi drone that was it
It's kinda funny at this point though 😂
woder why the batteries were half price

👆This is a much better explanation than mine haha
