    If you really understand what Nagarjun taught in his school of middle way, you'll never say things similar to this like that his body is looking for its neck. How Rediculous! Renunciation of self or the realization of selflessness is the essence of his teaching. Do not insult him!

    • @tanpokio
      @tanpokio Год назад

      True. This is totally nonsense and ridiculous story. Life of the respected Nagarjuna was devoted to deep meditation, mind training and ceaseless teaching for the benefits of all. Nothing of these absolute nonsense things. A story full of attachment and ignorance of what karma, emptiness, impermanence... really are. Written by who does not understand any of Nagarjuna's teaching (the Madhyamika).

    • @nimalidissanayake3545

      @@tanpokioagree! arya Nagarjun is reckoned as the second Buddha in Mahayana because he has revealed the truth of the doctrine of Lord Buddha for the second time. If one understood the truth of Nagarjun's revelation of the true nature of reality, one's mind will be blown out from its abode and will never be able to find its body again, because then he will realise that there are no two separate parts called body and mind, no 'I' and aggregates.... to look after!

    it does not make sense, to say that nagarjuna agreed to die out of compassion for the prince's worldly ambition.
    encouraging worldly ambition, particularly when it causes harm to others, and shortens nagarjuna's life and ability to teach and turn the wheel of dharma, is not at all an act of compassion.
    that's like saying, giving a bottle of booze to an alcoholic who wants to drink, is an act of compassion.
    perhaps this is just a folk myth that was added on to nagarjuna's story.

    Nagarjuna
    Jump to navigationJump to search
    Nagarjuna17.JPG
    Nagarjuna (Skt. Nāgārjuna; Tib. ཀླུ་སྒྲུབ་, ludrup, Wyl. klu sgrub) (c.150-250) - one of the six great commentators (the ‘Six Ornaments’) on the Buddha’s teachings. The great scholar Nagarjuna is revered as an unsurpassed master by all Buddhist schools. His teachings provide the foundation for the Madhyamika School, which propounds the ‘Middle Way’ philosophy, accepted as the highest view within the sutrayana. He was also the revealer of the Prajñaparamita Sutras, the core teaching of the second turning of the wheel of the Dharma. He is also counted among the eighty-four mahasiddhas, and among the eight vidyadharas.
    Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche said:
    Noble Nagarjuna was like a second buddha in this world. He composed commentaries explaining all the Buddha’s views. The Six Ornaments and Two Supreme Ones of the noble land of India asserted that there is no difference between Nagarjuna’s commentaries and the Buddha’s teachings. This is because Nagarjuna’s commentaries cover all three turnings of the wheel as well as the secret-mantra vajrayana.
