Such an incredible song, and this is the first of ten music videos that the guys recorded in a week while they were together in Nashville a few weeks ago - they also performed their first live show for over a year at the Grand Ol' Opry. Great to see them back together again, and I'm looking forward so much to the new album.
D. Lynn good to see you & your reaction. Home Free hits another home run....albeit a sad one, but Home Free lives in the real world.....and this song was chosen for Memorial Day with purpose. The harmonies are even really good for Home Frr. Chance & Austin harmonizing at the begininng...we need to hear more of that !!!
I'm so glad that Home Free brought out this beautiful song. They have been bringing out so many songs we really need to hear. I believe I heard that both actors are in the military. Great reaction
As a family member of many veterans, this video hit very hard. 🇺🇸❤️. Thank you for your reaction! Beautiful job Home Free! Only band that percussion make me emotional! I lost it during Rupp’s snare cadence! 😭😭. Stunning! I preordered this album! Thank you to all veterans and family members for your service and sacrifices to protect freedom! Thank you Home Free! ❤️
This is so beautiful and I love the spin they put on this. Yes, women also serve. What a beautiful memorial day tribute. Good to see you again. Thank you for your reaction.
Loved this video, loved your comments on the video as well. As a veteran and a black woman, this video touched me on so many levels. Representation is great to see and I love that they flipped it to show a female soldier because we serve, we leave loved ones behind and far too often we don't make it back home.
Home Free got permission from the songwriter to change the lyrics - to make the female the soldier, and the places to use the Middle East instead of Vietnam. Beautiful rendition of this song. And Adam Rupp adds so much to it - his drum cadence when they get to the third verse gets me every time.
I really liked the switch too. It just gave a nice perspective that women serve (and die) too. Such good harmonies. Loved Austin and Chance together and then Rob joined in. Just like in Helplessly Hoping. They are so good and yes, Adam killed it with the drum solo. So touching and a bittersweet video. Great reaction D. Lynn!
The interweaving of melody and voices, Adam's amazing abilities, Tim anchoring things with his Bass. I actually really loved Chance and Austin (then Chance, Austin, and Rob) combining. It was smooth. Great reaction as always. Take care all.
WoW! What a Powerful , moving song,! 🔥 Well, you did it again, another great review! 👍 👏 I love the detailed background information you provide on the artists & songs - It adds to my music appreciation 🙂. Now… since I always find myself coming back to your channel for REAL reviews - I’m going to add you to my Patreon list to help “support the cause”, lol. 😊😇
I can relate, I was in the field and get mail for 2 months, thanks for a great song, Dee you look a little tired, please take care of yourself, your court jester
I thought Home Free’s higher background "Oh, oh” leading into the second chorus showed the hope in the two people falling in love. Then the lower, more subdued background on the last verse and intro to the third chorus made it more somber to emphasize the loss.
@@DLynn The Chicks (who never deserved to use Dixie in their name anyway) are an insult to music and the country! Fortunately most country stations still refuse to play their garbage.
Appreciate that the girl in the video is an active duty soldier and the guy is a vet.
So beautifully done. Home Free is the best at telling stories and this one coming out on Memorial day was so powerful
You are exactly on point with your commentary. Excellent reaction and no doubt Home Free are simply the best! Thank You.
Aw...thank you!😁

I did my lil grin seeing Chance jump in with Austin...I loved the harmonies in this so much!
@@DLynn yes ma';am & they really took their game to next level with this one
@@miamidolphinsfan indeed😁 the new album is gonna be 🔥!

Another good reaction.

Tim said the girl's a real soldier..
That makes it so much more authentic and meaningful...those Home Free guys, I tell ya...😁
@@DLynn Just found out, both of them are vets..Awww.😊
When I listened to this song in my car the snare drum sounded so authentic I had to watch the video to confirm it was Adam. Wow.

Excellent reaction, I was also impressed with Adam on the military cadence.
I was a marching band girl, and that hit me!

Totally agree with your whole comment @Robert Bartel! Smooth is the word of choice!👍🏾 Hope you're doing well!

Thank you so much for your awesome comment, and for your patronage!😁
They have a new album coming out...can't wait.
Chance from HF just released a single Long Way Home that he wrote and Sami his gf did the video...worth watching...
If you watch Tim's livestream about this video you can learn more about it. One of the actors is active soldier.
Loved the Dixie Chicks version, but Home Free put their beautiful touch on this and made me love it even more!

Lol...reading me like a book out here @James Brown! I was very tired, but I always make time for a Home Free reaction! Thank you for being here!😁💜
Sad. I'm glad they updated it to an African American female soilder.
I am surprised you didn't have to use some tissues for tears.
My eyes were unfortunately too dry, due to my allergies and overall being tired when I filmed. But, I still felt what Home Free wanted us to feel!
This is a hard song to listen to
Check out spring valley Ouija Macc
🤔
Dixie Chicks version was better; more forlorn. I would highly recommend listening to theirs
Thank you!
Dixie Chicks suck!
@@lacruiser6618 aw....you don't mean it

Anything to do with the Dixie Chicks is garbage.
Their version was a cover, so you are free to hate them and love the song.
