Wow Nicholas, well done. I'v got a 16 voice on back order. This video has dispelled any doubts that I may have had whilst I'm waiting. Absolutely brilliant programming.
Wow, the heartbreak pad sounds amazing! So many great patches but that one stood out to me. Hope to be able to pick these up in the near future, great job!
Some nice playing here ..enjoyed it. Stopped by as I’m not real thrilled with my Rev2 16 which I’ve had for two years now and hardly use. So I’m on the hunt for soundsets. I bought all four of Luke Neptune’s Rev2 soundsets a couple days ago .. and those basically saved my Rev2’s life lol. So now I want more! These aren’t bad .. actually quite brilliant with your style of playing .. but not quite my cup o tea .. but again watched the whole vid as I enjoyed the playing .. especially the intro piece. Thanks 👍
Thank you! Check this sweetwater link for info on how to install them. I've included this info in the PDF that is sent once you download/purchase as well =). www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/how-do-i-send-and-receive-sysex-on-pc-or-mac/
Nope, they're super easy to load via USB and a free quick program called "SysEx Librarian". I include with the purchase a PDF with a link/explanation on how to upload them. These patches will load to U3, P1-50. I do recommend just to be safe, however, that you backup your programs any time you EVER load anything onto your rev 2 regardless of where you get it. This process has saved me many many times =). Hope you dig them!
Great patches. How can close can you get to Program 12: Power Synth on a P6? If it's doable - any chance of getting one included in your signature P6 patches pack?
Joe Delatour There’s a ‘read me’ file included with the pack that will give you a link to instructions. I use the program “sysex librarian” and it’s extremely easy to use. Hope that helps!
The rev 2 is the 2nd revision of the Prophet 08, so they're essentially the same board. The only differences is that the Rev2 has some fx, variable wave shaping, and more modulators (and a different key-bed I believe).
@@NickSemrad correct on the different (and better) keybed. Newer Sequential instruments from the Prophet 6 forward use a Fatar keybed, while older products use a clacky, lower quality one. Also, black keys tend to transmit a higher velocity, particularly when playing other instruments over midi. Makes using older instruments as midi controllers very difficult. The newer keybeds are not as bad in this regard.
The Crazy Canadian Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve actually sold quite a few. The reason it’s a dollar a patch is because I spent about a week of 4-5 hour days making these, setting the layers and effects, making sequences for each patch, writing a manual, and making subtle changes to make them sound as good as possible for y’all. I hope you pick them up, but I’m glad you dig them and thank you for the compliment.
These actually only load onto U3 P1-50, but I haven't experimented with loading them via the Soundtower editor. Maybe it's different if you load them with that?
They can't, but I do have a Prophet 08 set available that has versions of these patches adapted for that board. I have a demo of that up on RUclips as well =)
@@atatudo The Rev 2 has some added capabilities that the '08 doesn't have (effects, wave shape modulation, etc), so the patches will sound a little different. The patch sets are slightly different, so not every patch here will be on the set for the '08, and even the ones that are meant to be duplicates will sound just a tad different. All of the patches that are on the '08 video are on that '08 patch set, though, so that video will be a better gauge of what to expect than this one. Cheers!
Dude. Im just happy I get to see the notes your pressing for those first two songs
I had the same feeling ;)
@@lapasteque868 me too! the Tonto chord progression is awesome! dont understand why he does not release more solo material
Tonto is my memory of seeing the funk apostles a few years back. Such a hauntingly beautiful chordal pattern.
What was Tonto, please?
Thanks for the "Trade it All" tutorial! ;)
Love that Tonto sound and the Simple Saw . Tonto was the sound that greatly spearheaded my fascination with synths.
Super fast delivery and superb service! Very highly recommended in every respect. 😁

Absolutely stunning!
Gratitude Pad is incredible!!
Beautiful sounds and great playing - I luv the Rev 2 so much : D
THANKS for the great comms, Nick. I'll definitely be making a purchase . . .
Fantastic demo Nick , what a great player
I like the way you use the chords. Kinda like futurebass and how I use synths.
Nick, love this! Perfect combination of music and technology. You're the profit!
was just looking for these chords
I love that intro from Program 14: Tonto
It’s from the Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles song “Trade It All” in case you’re curious
These patches are sick. I’m gonna buy them soon, but a brother a little broke at the moment.
Super sound design, thank you!!
Program 7-- very nice. That sounds like what you want in a poly synth. Nice job.
oh man these patches sound great
Those are beautiful patches!

Badass
Have subbed! 😎
Sensacional
very nice sounds though
Funk apostles are missing in France :(
How much was that Wow Wow patch influenced by playing with Jacob Mann? I'm getting his goofy Juno vibes all over from that patch!
Love these patches ! 🔥 I want to buy them, but what to do if i use PC ? SysEx Librarian is for Mac, and i use PC - any tips ?

@@NickSemrad thanks 🙏
Are you using any external FX in this demonstration? Cheers, Paul
What do you recommend for beginners and where to start
Take lessons and practice all the time =)
Did you develop these with the 16-voice rev2 or the 8-voice?
16, but they should work fine on the 8
@@NickSemrad I have the 8. Planning on buying the set so I'll reply here when I get to test them tonight
@@chaosfeeder well, its been five months and no reply, so I guess he's dead now.
@@destroybot3000 😂😂 completely forgot . I have it now It works great to be honest for one handed comping. But the 16 voice would be a heaps better

User Bank 3, 1-50 =)
Can I patch this to my Yamaha 550?
Sadly no.

if i buy the patch set will i automatically be able to play like you?
Probably not, but you'll be able to play more like you...and that's even better!
So i bought one. 8 voice. Lol.
@@crime_wavez That's wonderful. I hope you dig it! Try my patches at some point =)

Would that patch for any VST, type OB-XD?
Sadly no, these are just for the rev2 keyboard/module.

Is this like a sound pack/vst? Or do I need the board?
This is only for the Prophet Rev 2 =/
Are you using an expression pedal also? Or is it all pitch wheel? Thanks man!!!
All pitch and mod wheel =)

Ehi Nick can i buy only the tonto patch ?
Sadly no, these are only available as a whole.
