I use plastics and jigs all year round for walleye, shallower in the spring, and deeper in the summer, and even in the winter, and I consistently limit out in a day using either a chartreuse grub or just a jig tipped with a minnow/leech/worm bouncing it on the bottom at 20-30 feet of water in the summer.
Thanks for the video guys. I have a place up in Wisconsin on Lake Koshganog. It is a shallow, dingy watered lake. I know there are Eyes in there because I caught one, but only one. I am going to give that Moxy and jig a shot.
Sean Chang - I don't see why not. I have some friends that live/fish Nebraska and Missouri that use them for walleye and bass and do well fishing them.
So Jason for instance, I know you answer this to me a lot.. for overall pitching jigs what kind of line and leader do you use?? And how long of a leader ? Thanks for all the help
Great show guys! Very impressive catch. You have any lakes that are closer to Omaha, NE that you'd recommend? Anything in the SE corner of SD that you've fished? Thanks
Hey bud thanks for the info on finding these walleye. I really appreciate the way you take care of the fish your catching, you seem to enjoy it as much as i do. Im from Texas and we have one lake over here by where i live, its Lake Meredith. Do you think i can use the same tactics to catch walleye down here as uou use to catch them up north?
i live in huron south dakota wich is about 1hr 45min. away from were your fishing. do you know of any lakes closer to were i live, other than oahe and sharpe. there about 2hr or 2hr15min.away.
I love the Show you speak of the lures, but I have not heard you speak regarding the rods. Are the rods Medium? or medium lite? Can I use medium heavy on the rivers with more current?
Does anyone have a basic jigging video? I've never had any luck with jigs. Most I've been able to catch on jigs are tiny bluegills that hit baits bigger than their mouth. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but jigs just don't seem to work for me.
No ice fishing lately. Ice conditions due to heavy snow and deep slush have made ice fishing all but impossible. our first ice trip in over 3 weeks will start on Tuesday. We've had just enough warm weather to start knocking down the snow pack. We're still going to need snowmobiles due to the cruddy conditions but at least we're finally able to get back out.
Using a similar setup, and around this time-frame(Early June in Michigan) do you think I would have any luck shore fishing for walleye? There is a dam at the mouth of a river by this lake I live by....Was thinking about trying to catch some walleye by this Dam but dont know if they will be there.
Yes man, I use that, but I use the green pumkin color. I drift most of the time with them or cast, but I have trolled and caught a pike. But I use texas rigged because that way I don't have to worry about weeds.
I made an oath to myself I wouldn't share my sercret but I shouldn't be greedy. Gary yamamoto 5" yamasenko, green pumpkin blue. Buy the wacky rig o ring set and put the o ring half way down and slip your hook underneath the o ring. Works great for bass, pike, rock bass, smallies, stripers and I've even caught alley while trolling with it. Check your hook before you cast. Make sure you have pliers or chemos because the fish love to swallow it. Slow jerks.
You take probably the best care of fish on any youtube video. Some guys are really careless and reckless but you are nice and gentle with them.
xShadowWolfe I agree most people hold them in the air and talk for like a minute
Just let the fish 🐠 breathe for Pete’s sake
Glad there wasn’t a million commercials. Good vid.thanks,
Fishing light jigs and plastics is our favorite way to catch a walleye. Thanks for tuning in!
cool to see jig fishing success in south dakota mid summer pattern
Look forward to your videos every week :)
totally awesome - love those walleyes

You would think you spell it right if you have a place there. And there are tons of walleyes.. We catch a few keepers every time we go there.
Give it a try. The fish out there in Webster were hot on the plastics most all summer long in 2012.
Very sure. It was either that hoodie or a white t-shirt. My clothing options were limited.
I'm out in that area of SD, I'll have to give this a go this summer. I'd be more than happy to film with you if you want to do a show in that area.
Great show
That's a nice fish there another nice fish oh nice fish
You guys should do a topwater or any largemouth bass fishing video
Guys are Awesome

I love fishing with grubs. But I'm fishing from land and Ohio I don't catch many walleyes. But I will try even harder with them during the summer.
Lookin' good Quintin
chart orange core moxie from b fishing and he said a 3/16 Oz green apple jighead
I'm sold beers and jigs all day
I'm new to walleye fishing. What is the best or more likely place to find walleye in a Minnesota lake? I mean like bottom and structure.
When jigging for walleye, what type of line os the best and what weights. Thanks
Can't wait to slam some walleye this week
Bought some moxi because of you....hope they work!!!
A great set of plastics! Hope you are on the fish!

Did you come up to Lake Winnipeg this year? I am missing your guys ice fishing shows. They really slowed down the last month and a half

Best color clear water. Pink
where did you get the rails that you have mounted on your gunnels?
What color plastics are you guys using?
Quinten at 11:00 "fun thing about these lakes is you don't have to use live bait"
Quinten at 5:05 "dragging a jig with half a crawler"
Derrrrrrrrr!

Will there be an episode tommaro?
Reetz lake is closed to the public now

Using jigs is about the only way my family fishes for walleye in Colorado and New Mexico
They sell a neon ribbon tail worm with this orange middle at Wal-Mart. It doesn't work for bass. Trust me.
Why do people throw walleye back when there 12 inches or higher? For me if I caught walleye like that Id be keeping them and celebrating with a beer.
Brad Blokland anything over 16 to 18 inch goes back cause those are best breeder fish
well, those fish...i didn't see that other one .....
