If you were into computer games, there was a game that came out in 1995 called "Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom". Tom played the part of Todd "Maniac" Marshall who was the wingman for Mark Hamill's character Christopher Blair. The cast consisted these two, plus Malcolm McDowell, John Rhys-Davies, Jason Bernard, Chris Mulkey, Richard Riehle, John Spencer and quite a few more great actors. For me, Tom stole the show with his ridiculous and wonderful style and comedic timing.
I, like you, was confused as hell as to why he seemed to be overlooked. It was criminal!

I remember watching an old interview (here on YT), where he talks about it and that he focused on his career in theater and (at the time) wasnt thrilled, that all people ever wanted to talk to him about, was Back to the Future. I am SO happy that time has given him joy in his role of Biff. Yeah I wouldve liked to have seen him in more for it is like the old saying, "a hero is only as good as his villain", and he absolutely killed it as the many versions of Biff.

The Biff character in 1985 was him under heavy make-up to look like an old man. Tom Wilson was only 27 when he made BTTF and he looked even younger than his age as well at that time. Hard to believe that Christopher lloyd was 47 but that was a reasonable age for him to be since he was playing a character that existed in the 1950's. So they had to make sure he still look young enough between 1950 and 1985 in contrast. They did some make up work on him for the 1985 version of himself.
But yeah, I am with you. He looks far, far younger here than what they made him out to be as an old man in 1985. LOL.

Scott: one of the most frustrating things must be if you are the first one to audition for a part. No casting director ever says after only one audition "ok, send everyone else home, this is the one we want". They're going to have several auditions, they want to feel like they're earning their paycheck. So after 50 people have auditioned for the part, the C.D. also isn't going to usually pick the first one, because then they think they wasted their time holding all those auditions if the first actor was right for the part! It's like a catch 22 and you're screwed.
