I loved this thermometer. I had it for over 7 years and now that I have my 11month old I think I might of lost it in a public RR. I going to buy a new one, I just can't decide if I should get the 6500 or the 6520.
It's great that you loved your previous thermometer so much! It's always hard to choose between different models, but I'm sure you'll make the right decision!
Those plastic sanitary covers snap on because they need to fit snugly to depress the RED PLASTIC PIN at the base of the earpiece. If that red plastic pin is not depressed, the unit will not work! If you run out of the sanitary caps and still want to take your temperature, you can depress the pin with your finger and keep it depressed while you take the temp. What's a little ear wax among friends?
No the eardrum ( tympanic membrane ) is a precise reading because it shares a blood supply with the brains temperature control center; therefore accurately reflects your core temperature.
Mine keeps flashing POS or PO5 instead of giving me the correct temp! What does that mean?
Thx for the video
But 36°C isn't hot at all
