I've been in a good number of these sessions, first as Leto the Druid (first death in the campaign...) and now Grimdan the dwarf, LOVING the time spent with No Fun and all my new friends from Little Hope.
Love it! When I ran a west marches style campaign long ago I offered extra xp for a session write up done by the players. It was super fun to see them role-play via what was essentially a public journal of their character on our groups page.

Wait! No Fun, you said that Grimdan's sword gives +2 to hit and damage when he wins init!?! Did you mis-speak or have I been short changing myself? I've only been gaining +1 to hit and damage when we win Init.
@@dwgautier ah thanks, how's the learning curve? I've only played and dm'd 5e so far... I'm quite interested in joining you guys, but don't want to act the total noob haha. Is there some way I can get a crash course?
It is far easier and a better system for this campaign. Each round, you get 1 Action, and that's it. You want to run 50 ft? That's it. You want to shoot your bow? That's it. You want to cast a spell? That's it. There's no, Bonus Action Rage, run up 15 ft, Attack, run another 15 ft, then open the door. All the characters have a couple things they can do. There is group initiative that is a D6 roll off each round. Either the Enemies go first or the group does. It makes for a fast-paced, terrifying game.
This is great. How do you manage time in this game? How to keep it fair for everyone so every PC knows how much time as passed with each session? Also, I want to play too 😂

we are using Old School Essentials, a reforging of 1st edition d&d. Totally refreshing system :)

Incredibly simple! If you know 5e, then you can play this!
