If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
    How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
    Never quit,
    Alex
    FULL DISCLOSURE
I make content to make money - just - on a longer time horizon than most. I want to build trust with business owners so we can find the best ones and help them scale. And if they’re awesome, write them a check and go all the way as partners.

It's been 6 years since I started my online marketing journey.
1st year I sold 80 tshirts on Teespring
2nd year I made ~$10k in revenue in ecom.
3nd year $50k revenue in ecom
4th year $70k revenue in ecom
5th year $60k in salary managing ads.
6th year $120k in salary managing ads.
7th year will hopefully be the year where I successfully launch my business and reach $50k months.

Beliefs and limitations are self imposed and at the same time self fulfilling. Raise your beliefs and limits Erode giving way to limitless.
As Alex has said many times before - an exceptional product sells itself.
What you focus on expands. Focus on the product being world class and you can’t lose. The odds are so stacked in your favor at that point succeeding becomes mathematical certainty
Success finds you at that point and I think that’s what saved the day in this case.
I don’t know of a situation where a world class product was created and released to the masses, so an actual tangible product people can use, ended up being the final nail in the coffin of a success story being realized.

  • @bryangreenleaf5001
    @bryangreenleaf5001 Месяц назад

Alex understands infinite vs finite for sure.
There isn’t an end unless the mission of winning and succeeding is created on a blueprint with end dates.
The metrics by which success is measured matter. The number of checkpoints that measure success metrics really matter. The alignment of talent focused on success rowing seems to be the trifecta.
That’s my suspicion at least of how he does things that seem superhuman.
Extraordinary focus, extraordinary belief coupled with a plan that doesn’t limit itself is a powerful thing. The universal creative force that brings an idea into our reality always has the same answer for everything which is “yes”. The words we say after saying “ I am”… determine what happens next. Think about that for a bit and see how it might reframe everything we once thought was possible

It’s pretty insane to just have access to something like this, here, on youtube. Having access to information and people like this, in this way, wasn’t even possible just a few years ago. It’s such a crazy privilege being able to see and hear stuff like this from the few people who are choosing to share it in this way.

Great Video... I like listening to Alex's videos. I find them motivational and inspiring, for the most part. I don't necessarily agree with everything he says (but who am I to argue) of all the videos I've watched this one seems to be the most authentic and real and not like a bunch of make money guru speak. I'd much rather hear the authentic story and what went wrong and how he overcame, rather than the typical " get up at 4am, write a book till noon, fire all you're underperforming lazy sales people by 1pm, make content videos... workout, in bed by 9, repeat." I'm being melodramatic and facetious, but a lot of make money Gurus have some version of this day in the life of.

Wow, so much value here. The crazy part is that the pain you felt from the stress of the $100k witholding taught you skills that produce 7 figure values. Now, you have warning flags that will trigger to help you down the road. You physically see the world differently now because of those mistakes.
