We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

I found the solution if you're in UK. I was also stuck on the annoying noise sound for a few days, I couldn't connect to my phone. I figured out that it's a problem with my provider(virgin). I had to go to manually disable the 5kHz connections through the hub setup website, then enable it back once I connected to the camera. to disable it you need to type this number '192.168.0.1' in your browser search box and press enter. Then I typed in the exclusive 'settings password' from the bottom of the router(not the main router password-mine has 8 numbers only). Then I went to the advanced settings tab on the left, then clicked on wireless, then click on wireless signal, and then under 'wireless frequency 5 GHz' tab turn on 'Disable 5GHz' located next to Enable 5GHz. Once you turned off the 5GHz then restart your router and you should be able to connect your camera to your phone without a problem(may need to restart your phone too, I didn't need to with an iphone). Once you have connected your camera to your phone then go back to that website, enable back the 5GHz connection, restart the router. The camera connection will be saved on your phone. If you reset the camera then most probably you'll need to go through this steps again. MonopolistMusic on youtube, subscribe :)

I have successfully installed this exact doorbell. Works prefect however, I can't get it to snap on to the mounting plate. Only one side will click in place any ideas on locking it in place correctly?

Hello, i bought this doorbell. its making false alarm sounds in middle of night whic are very loud and disturbing for neighbours. message comes device moved but device is still in place. i have made PIR function compltely off still its making false loud alarms. How to fix it?
How to change time and date? Doorbell is in 2016 while i'm in 2020.drama. Another big issue is lack of settings how to record things in cloud. There's only on/off slider of 'cloud' option, while no settings how to set it up and connect with storage! And last but not least, its sensor is randomly: very sensitive and rings even when the neighbours walk by the corridor of building, and on the other - no info when someone stands in front of the door even for a longer time period.

There are tags at the bottom of the battery that need to be pulled of if you want it wireless
Iv had my video doorbell bell over a year now, but all of a sudden it started saying its ready to pair whilst outside, tried resetting a few times and uninstalled it then reinstalled it, it downloads to the phone but then the camera seems to not work and it says again ready for pairing??? Really dont know what else to do

Make sure you give the app the permission to access location. Go to app settings, permissions and allow for location. I had the same issue like you , once I did this I was able to connect to it. Hope it works as well.

J V I think you are confusing 2.4GHz/5ghz wifi signals with cell phone signals...(3G-5G)
When you communicate with your router/doorbell when away from home, it doesn’t matter what wireless frequency your phone is on.
When setting up the device, you cannot use 5GHz wifi. The doorbell only recognizes 2.4ghz wifi.
@@brandonhune644 Wrong. I'm not confusing nothing. U need to read the directions/manual unit came with. It'll say or should, say what signal's unit works. Mine explains this CLEARLY & works on mine as per the MANUAL.
@@K-Z1 nah you got it wrong bro as long as your bell is connected at home to 2.4ghz you can access it through the app anywhere on your phone on any WiFi or mobile signal 3g/4g/5g it don't matter

imagotvworld im having the same issue i had to reset mine after it wouldnt sync with new batteries now it wont synce and jus realized my ios is 12.4 had it installed with my iphone 6 last year if theres any solution please fill us in
imagotvworld dont if ur still issue syncing but after reading up other doorbell camera i notice it mention in order to do a complete hard reset u will have to remove the batteries up to 10min then try adding the device again. it worked for me hope this helps u

Hi, I wonder if anyone can give advice. I bought one of these cameras and I couldn't get it to work, so they offered me a replacement with new batteries still it didn't work with battery charger, etc, Then I discovered I could plugin with USB and it worked but it will NOT PAIR. I have an iPhone 6s and tried so many times. My question is this, Does it need fixed wifi in the home or can it work off my phone's hotspot? I do not have fixed wifi with a router in my home only the wifi in my phone's package. I assume this might be the problem but I did try and set it up to my mum's wifi and it didn't pair there either. It's absolutely useless and apparently only works with 2,4ghz, I've no idea how to change that setting on my iphone. Instructions are not much help either. Help anyone??!!

@@stephencunningham4677 SO he or she knows it is working and somebody is bound to answer the door, and if nobody answers the doors he or she knows that there is nobody home. I suspect this is the reason why it rings.

I have the same doorbell, in fact I have two different ones.
The one thing I don't like about this particular model, is that it doesn't have the security if someone grabs it and runs away with it, there is no alarm, my other one has it.
The second issue is that it ONLY records for 8 seconds how annoying and frustrating it can get.

I set all of the notification permissions, too, and still can't get it to call/notify my device (Samsung Galaxy s7 edge) . The event feeds are in the app so they are both connected. I am clueless what other steps to try.

I let my batteries go dead. meanwhile I bought a new phone. I can set it up thru my Ipad, but when I try to set it up and pair to my phone - it asks for a password. I have no clue what that is? how can I reset the password? there is no option anywhere for 'forgot password'. and I apparently didn't save it with my other passwords. If you accidentally erase the data in the app and the device no longer shows up, yet it is still paired to your network, how do you recover the doorbell to your phone? The reset button does not do anything after it is paired. Any advice?

My XSH doorbell password has gone back to admin when I changed batteries and I cannot see how to change it. It will not let me put my password in. Desperate for help.
You can change your password.
If you haven't figured it out yet, you need to click on live video as if you're looking outside, then at the very bottom you will see icons that aren't very visible, grey on grey, I don't know who's idea is this to make things invisible they are getting stupider and stupider by the day, they love writing in light grey on white, to fuck your eyes.
So, to the right there is an icon that says "Settings" click on it, then on the next menu look for Device Name and Password, you can change it right there.

The button is also to select several chiming tunes, if you press the top button and then the up and down button you will select as many chimes as you wish I believe there are 31 chimes.
and also to turn the volume up and down.
How do you pair the doorbell with the wifi speaker? Do you need install something or just pushing the button of the speaker?
@@uretacerdajoel you set the tune you want then you hold the volume button (most top button) till the blue light stays on then press the ring button on the doorbell and it should remember it. ps. if the power gets removed from the wifi speaker it resets the ringtone

There is one major problem with all of these doorbell cameras with few exceptions, is that they are not waterproof or weatherproof, it's almost pointless to have a doorbell camera if is destroyed the minute it rains.
Not true. Mine DOES state it's waterproof. What makes you think their "not"?? 😶
@@K-Z1 It does state this, however after dismantling this device i can confirm its not very waterproof at all. No gaskets anywhere between parts and will especially leak from top cover (USB/SD) and front speaker. DO NOT POWER FROM MAINS IF YOU EXPECT IT WILL GET WET.
Why not buy a ring or arlo? Seems cheap. Couldn’t be me.

Chinchu I was having that same problem until I found out how to do it. Go to "Permission management" and ensure that you allow the Telephone permission. Then also set "Appear on top" to on.
