Great to see you uploading and sharing some great ideas for books and strolls around the country. I think your right Wainwright was a man of the time and he just liked his own company and made his mind up on things based on his own thoughts without any outside opinion. Just have to keep positive for these walk and they will happen for you. The Welsh walk looks interesting but again I'm going to be bias and say the Cape Wrath trail would be amazing 😊😁👍🏴. Take care and happy hiking ⛰️🥾🥾👍
The Cape Wrath trail is amazing Scott, I'm looking forward to finally getting to the end at some point. Don't blame you for being biased, Scotland has some incredible scenery. 🏴👍😉
Good book recommendations. I'll have to check them out. 👍 Too bad you've been trapped inside on the Canary Islands. We've been trapped inside in the Dallas area. We want to go to Oklahoma next and then do our big Utah/Colorado/New Mexico trip this summer. Subscribed to follow your hikes. I hope our channels grow together. 💪
It's easy for us in the UK to get caught up in our own situation and not to think of how strict some of the restrictions have been across Europe. I'm pleased to hear that they've been eased a little and that you're keeping plans in mind. You don't come across many who've attempted the Cape Wrath Trail. All the best!
Hi Olly, hope you're keeping well during this difficult time. Our restrictions are starting to ease a little so I'm hoping to be able to get out hiking again soon. The Cape Wrath Trail is slowly becoming more popular but because of it's remoteness, it will probably always be a little used route. I've only ever met four other people doing the hike when I've been on it. Take care, Gary.
Hi Martin, I haven't actually done the Cleveland Way but having done the Coast to Coast a few times, I have walked both moorland and coastal sections of it. If those are anything to go by, it looks like a great trail. I'm sure you'll have a great time on the moorland section. All the best, Gary.
just finishing 9 days holiday, had pre-planned doing the South Down way, got the new gear, even the gut hook app on my phone, maps/book. but yes locked here as well, frustrated
Hi John, I walked the SDW with my wife in 2017. This was the second time we'd done it but this time we headed towards the coast instead of away from it, which I preferred. I hope you get to do it soon, it's a great walk. All the best, Gary.
Thanks for the book recommendation just ordered it may have a crack at it as I'm nearing retirement good luck with the situation we'll soon be out and about again I'm sure kev
Thank you for your comments, glad you enjoyed the video. Unfortunately, owing to my wife's deteriorating health, I have had to stop long-distance hiking. The only trip I managed since this video was filmed is a 100 mile trip on the Pennine Way.
Great! Hope you have a good time. I'm still hoping to get over to the UK later in the year to hike it but things are difficult at the moment with quarantine etc. Have a great hike.
Awesome

I had done about half the Sussex Border Path before Covid so rudely interrupted me. As soon as the restrictions are lifted I plan to finish it.
I did the coastal section of the Cleveland Way in March which was all i'd planned at the time. Now I want to go back to do the moorland section.
