I own this pack myself and used it for a week of trekking. I can say many good things about it: perfect size/capacity, very practical, very water resistant, easily ajustable, reasonable price... The only small issue I've had was that one of the shoulder straps was getting lose all the time. I fixed this by making a knot in the strap. I think it is a very under-rated pack in the (ultra) light trekking community.

i own a 45 litre ultimate direction fastpack, i really enjoy how the size makes you rethink everything , and made me ditch a lot of gear i would carry, such as spare clothes , you will enjoy the fast hike with the stealth tent, great choices , and i wish you well on your journey

I bought that sack last year and i did the Cleveland way with it and i absolutely love it, i did think about one of the ultralight bags but for the money this is a perfect compromise.

Great review. Does the pack have a waterproof coating on it or are you packing a cover for it because lets be honest when you hit Scotland your going to need the full waterprooofs and maybe bring a mask and snorkel...it can be a bit on the damp side north of the border lol lol. As I've said it really blows my mind that you are walking for a few weeks with just a small tidy bag. Well done sir. Will the tent be fitting inside as well. For me the shoulder and waist straps seem a little on the thin side and it could feel that with a heavier load it could rub and feel unsupportive but it will be good to see how you get on with it and if all else fails then a few bin liners over the shoulder could work as well lol lol lol :) :) :). I bet you cant wait to start again and get this one in the bag (so to speak). Smart looking bag though and good brand. Did you look at the Ospreys or Deuters as they appear to be really popular nowadays? Really enjoyed this video and looking forward to the next one. Keep those feet walking as always. Take care :) :) :)

This pack looks even better than the Osprey levity 45. What is the reasonable carrying weight range? When you tighten the top centre compression trap, does it stretch the mesh material which may tear?
