For anyone looking for an honest opinion! My previous skates were Alkali RPD Visium 2 and out of the box I immediately fell in love, they had it all! I didn’t even have to break them in, it felt like I had them my whole life. However, after purchasing sometime around 4/19 the right skate finally blew out on me, the outsole completely separating from the bottom of the boot where rivets hold in place. Mind you
I am a heavier set guy (5’11 215-220lbs) I did use these skates about 3-5 times every weekend for almost an entire year... so with that being said, there’s no reason I should look at any other skate other than alkali since I loved my previous alkalis, right? Well, after purchasing the REV 1’s (size 10.5 same VISIUM 2’s) and skating on them for 2 hours straight this past Saturday (6/20/20) I was a little upset with a few things! First off the laces were a little bit short, having to skip the top hole in order to tighten to my liking was annoying, second there was some MEAN, MEAN chaffing going on in the insides of both my ankles. I now have 4 total 2 on each lower ankle, half dollar blisters that cost me $45 to heal before a tournament this upcoming weekend. After my 2 hour skate sesh Saturday, I immediately went to the shop and got them baked. They now feel a little bit better, but still I haven’t had a boot this uncomfortable in a very long time, especially for this price.. other than the tightness around the bottom of the ankle which I believe is due to the density of the padding on the inside of the boot, I think this is a great skate and will last me a long time once broken in.. overall I would recommend this skate it comes with great specs and materials but going from visium 2’s for 300 I think I paid to these for 600 I was very upset with the out of the box feel from these rev1’s I hope I break them in quickly and get over these mean blisters!!!

Is the boot fit similar to a vapor or supreme boot? I'm currently using vapor 7EE size
