Please note: a turntable is a very sensitive piece of equipment, if you do not feel comfortable with the technical aspect of your record player, please refrain from making these adjustments to prevent damage. If you do proceed and damage your turntable or cartridge, we cannot be held accountable.
The hinges I bought are not as elaborate as the one you are using. You did a great job, I didn't think of using the multi-toolbut that makes the job much easier (I was going to cut with a coping saw instead). Also, using the masking tape is a good precaution for not damaging the surface of the dust cover. Thanks for the help, you did a fine job.

Hi can the spring brackets be replaced as well? Both hinges on cover have broken and one on the actual deck. Thanks in advance

Can you tell me the distance between the bolts? I already installed an aluminum hinge, but the dust cover doesn't sit right. I want to know if the holes I have already made are compatible with the hinge you offer.

Dear Eduardo, if you give me the dimensions of your holes I can modify the hinge to fit yours.
I wouldn't recommend using metal hinge tabs, since they don't flex, therefore putting extra stress on the dustcover.
Does anyone know where to find a replacement for the actual spring hinge, rather than the tab?

What if the actual hinge has broken?
I do not (yet) have copied that piece. They are difficult to come by second hand.
I have a similar issue but with a JVC dust cover. JVC AL-A155TNX. They are not “broken” but the dust cover no longer stays up. Need to replace the hinges. Let me know if you can resolve this?
