I'm an old white guy with a big Ford truck and was brought to tears in hearing how you were treated on our (USA) soil Calvin. The distinction between the city of man and the city of God is indeed becoming quite dramatic. All praise to His Holy Name. Continue the good fight Calvin and Brett!
As an old white gal with a little Ford truck -I dItto that.
As an old white gal with no Ford truck, I am the third to support this.
✝️🛐💟🙏🏻😅
I am an Old White guy too but the last time I cried was when I was a little boy. My parents always punished me severely if I cried for any reason, when I was little, so I never cry no matter what happens or doesn't happen, I have never cried once since I was 8 years old. My parents and teachers always told me crying is for babies and girls men don't cry.
@@adolphCat Jesus wept.....
@@roddumlauf9241 We are molded by our upbringing, I don't put any effort into not crying tears have just never come to me since I was 8 years old. In all probability that was the last time I will ever cry in my life even if I live to be 120. Not even the death of my best friend brought a single tear to me a few years ago. Not a single tear breaking up with the girl I loved. I bet you also are influenced by the punishments your parents and teachers gave you. I almost died in a near fatal accident a few years ago not a single tear. My favorite cat that lived with me for 17 years died a few months ago not a single tear. Punishments can be leave a lasting influence.
For me crying is a distant memory of a childhood of long ago, faded memories...
As a middle aged white woman who came to christianity late in life, I agree with you on all these points and think Pride is the main problem today.
I am an Irish Catholic and I fully support you courageous men! Thank you for standing up for Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the life . 🙏 ❤...lets unite in fighting the good fight. The Lamb will conquer!!!
Thank you, Christus Rex!
Although I am not an Anglican, I am a Roman Catholic, I am shocked that Fr. Robinson was cancelled for reading scripture, scripture that although written by man was inspired by the Holy Spirit. God bless both of you ✝️
Ditto ✝️
Heaven forbid rev Calvin and rev Brett ever read lev 18:22 infront of these people they would be for the high jump 😂
In Ontario, Canada, a teenager named Josh Alexander was expelled for a year from attending his Catholic HS (or any other in the province) for arguing that there are only 2 genders, and also for quoting scripture.
He is a vicar in the church of England so why is he on the screen as Fr Calvin Robinson, he is not a catholic priest.
@@verali164 as of late 2023 I believe he was ordained a Priest in an order called 'Old Catholic' which seems to have some communion with Rome but is not subject to the Pope. However I don't really understand how it works and therefore for a more accurate explanation you may be better off going to Father Calvin Robinson's substack site where he had explained it in depth in one article.
Calvin has always had my admiration and love. He has faced such venom and vitriol over the years yet his devotion to God and compassion for those who have no voice in this present culture and religious war has remained steadfast and constant.
God bless you both, and thank you for posting this video. It's wonderful to see Fr Calvin again.
As a member of the ACNA Diocese of Fort Worth, the highest church, most traditional diocese in the ACNA, this is our biggest issue. We need to resolve this or we will collapse. I pray we don't go down the path we fought so hard to get out of.
Hey Tex, I attend St. Mary of the Snows Anglican Church, Diocese of Quincy, I have to take issue with your claim that you are "highest church", "most traditional" church in the ACNA. Are you saying that Bishop Morales and our diocese of Quincy ACNA is less high church and traditional than your diocese and bishop who succeeds Bishop Iker ? What about Bishop Ackerman ? What are your views on the priests who are educated at Nashotah House ( Very Anglo-Catholic in liturgy but way too liberal in regards to women's ordination) ? Join the Continuum because the ACNA will go down in flames because of Women's Ordination to the priesthood and diaconate.
It would be a crying shame to repeat the same stupid errors of TEC
@@RevBrettMurphy It's going to be very interesting, when the Lord returns, there won't be any Christian denominations...He'll be saying "You are with me or not"...lol.
I remember a few years past when homosexuality was being pushed in the church, and a local preacher of this large church I went to took a Biblical stand against it in his opening sermon; and a few people, led by a woman , in fact, got up and began walking to the doors. There was certainly tension in the air for a few minutes, and I think we were generally wondering if the walk-out would be large; but then applause began, and clearly most were in accord with the preacher and the Word of God. There just isn't any way to square those without removing verses; they are so clear. More and more I appreciate the order God creates. I am all for loving; for showing the love of God in Christ, but "compromise" is truly deadly on many levels. It's heartening to see men of God taking the lead in upholding Holy Scripture. Thank you both. 🙏🏻🤍
I love Calvin's honesty, straightforwardness, his courage to speak to the truth irrespective of how it will be received. I love his deep love for the Lord and his committed faith. I know that in the World of mediocracy, power-grab, honeyed compromises and snakey tongues all this is insolence. The Church and so many priests are game players, luke-warm - and does Jesus approve of the luke -warm? No, he spits them out!
Fr Calvin's integrity is one of my favourite things about him
I attended a local prayer meeting comprised of believers from a variety of different churches, mainly mainstream. We were praying for revival - and then God spoke - 'Why are you praying for revival when you have abominations in your back yard?'. Though the attendees didn't agree with the abominations they were implicated because they were in communion and under the authority of those that preached perversion. In not doing anything they were saying we can live with this. We cannot pray for the light to break through while we tolerate darkness.
Yah. It’s the complacency that is so horrible. Praying 🙏 for more courage people like Calvin.
Thank you James.
I dont know who said it first but " A bitter truth is always better than a sweet lie" The Bible is full of bitter truths, they hurt, especially in a liberal society, but all a truth. Amen Chris x
Well said...
I'm an old white woman with an old white Lincoln and my grandmother used to say " The Ugly Truth is much better than a Pretty Lie "
West coast Anglo Catholic here. We support Calvin Robinson. Way to go Father!
Truth will always offend .
I've missed hearing Calvin. Thanks for having him.
A wonderful conversation. Clear, honest and faithful.
Thank you!
Calvin Robinson, great example of a good Christian man. Please keep up your good work, thank you.
Calvin, solid, brave, a rock. He reminds me in a time when common sense was common, when men were real men, and women were real women. Calvin, a sane voice in a crazy world.
I am heart sorry and dismayed that you were treated this way Fr Calvin. I always like to hear you speak and learn much every time. Stand strong.
Calvin...this was a litmus test for that church...by their fruits they will be exposed. Your visit exposed the wolves❤❤❤God used you as His tool
Fantastic interview. I have nothing but love and respect for the both of you. The world needs more Christian leaders like Calvin and yourself. It really is beautiful to see both of you flourishing. Like Calvin said "the glory goes to God." Amen!
Thank you for this interview. I saw on Facebook that Calvin's speech was canceled and I appreciate you offering a platform for him to explain everything. It's a sad day when the Bible itself offends the very people that are supposed to be preaching it. Calling it "outdated" is a slap in the face. You referring to the Old Testament prophets was right on the mark. I do pray that the Lord blesses you both dearly and thank you again for this video. I was very encouraged and edified by the discussion.
What makes me laugh is do they think the world is a better place doing it their way with lies and dishonesty? Gods words are the ONLY way we live our lives and Jesus also said there would be many many FALSE PREACHERS BEWARE.
God bless you both and God will overcome the hypocrisy of these vile preachers who seem to want to please human beings and not God.
@@kathleenfederl5121 Do people like Welby think the world is a better place by doing it their way. Welby and Co., are the reason a lot of priests are leaving the traditional C of E which Welby leads. He has strayed from the literal word of God with his antics over in the UK. I'll back Brett and Calvin before I have anything to do with the C of E trads. A lot of parishioners are leaving for the same reason as Calvin and Bret have.
Dear Fr CR, I tried to leave a note on your twitterX feed, and it was swallowed by the web. Thank you for your willingness to speak in S.C. You were not wrong; they were wrong. I regret you were treated so harshly and unceremoniously. God bless and God speed.
I'm always struck by how many Christians follow a "church of contemporary trends"---rather than follow Christ to a Church that adheres faithfully and courageously to His timeless Word.
As a member of the ACNA and my husband is one of the priests in our local parish, I am so sorry this is happened to Father Calvin and created a distraction for him and both this conference and the ACNA. Whether some hold to women’s ordination and others don’t, there is little need for canceling anybody. I personally do not subscribe to women’s ordination, but there is an opportunity to be more charitable than what happened. Such a shame. I hope that all involved will be able to maintain an irenic spirit, rise above this, and continue wonderful ministry. Lord, in your mercy hear our prayer.
Amen
Amen
Time for you, April, and your husband, to take a strong stand for the historic faith of the Apostles to reject Women's Ordination which is an abomination . ruclips.net/video/j8wXyTGMwFQ/видео.html
Faithful and GODLY, what greater a accolade is there? Love to the truth tellers
Great stuff guys. Continued prayers for both of you.
Thanks so much! Prayers for you too bro
Thank you, Father Brett and Father Calvin! I have been wondering how this all will play out! May God continue to shine upon you both! 🙏🏻
I love the new contemporary haircut on Fr. Robinson! The 1972 Afro had to go. Looking good!
I kind of liked it.
Nah much prefer the afro, looks cool and kind of his trademark ™️
@@jaqianI remember him expressing that he didn’t want to have a trade-mark as a priest.
@@janetsmiley6778Me, too!
The one good thing about the Afro was that you didn't expect the conservative politics and theology from such a look. But this conversation could go south quickly I suppose....
Good to hear from both of you. God bless, to you both, and Reverend Bretts family.🕊️🙏✝️🇬🇧
Thank you kindly, God bless you also
Thank you both for standing firm.
"Charlatan"? Now, that's what I call a Freudian slip! God bless you both 🙏
What an inspiration both Fr Brett & Fr Calvin are. I thank God for their continued guidance for their strength founded in the knowledge they share & the direction they provide to sinners like me. God Bless you both. 🙏🙏
Keep strong both of you!
Brother Calvin needs to get himself back on GB News! I am sure there are plenty of reasons why he shouldn't or can't. But it was such a blessing to hear a brother preach and pray on secular TV. God bless you both.
I thought he had been excluded.?
Yes, I think he has been. Surely, there is a way back?@@mavisemberson8737
Yes. Don't watch it any more.
Calvin Robinson is a natural disaster to unnatural things! 😆These people are utterly insane and I'm glad he opposes them. I am astonished at the disrespect towards scripture and Calvin as a clergyman. Even if you don't like the person you must respect the position. These women are problematic. Calvin is a nail that has been standing out for some time and they want him nailed to a cross. They must make an example of him or at least that what I am sensing. God bless you both!
Great interview. Southerners are usually courteous to a fault. That they were not confirms that a raw nerve was touched. We may never know, but I am thinking that the leaders who wielded the axe were but the marionettes of the women who work for them. Much prayer is needed for all.
I am more than appalled at even the thought that Calvin was invited because they expected him to speak on race. That would be the work of men, not the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians 4:7-9 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.
Rev Brett and Father Calvin make a great team! I love to listen to you both speaking the truth and the blessing at the end was very soothing.
I would love to see you too have a regular discussion. I know that is difficult but even once a month would be lovely! God bless you both, keep speaking out for Biblical truth! 🛐🛐🛐
But as for you, be strong; do not be discouraged, for your work will be rewarded. 2 Chronicles 15; 7
I from Charleston, SC and I am a member of St. John's Anglican Parish on Johns Island. I'm pretty sure my pastor was there at this conference. My husband was sorry to have missed out on that conference for he is in prayer in conversation with our pastor about becoming an Anglican decan. I was really disappointed to hear Calvin was treated this way. My husband and I really agree with Calvin's stance.
Thanks for the special edition video - good to see and hear Fr Calvin Robinson again. As a compliment to this video, there's one on TY by Dr G. Ashenden - "Cancelling Calvin Robinson: the American Anglican crisis as feminism takes truth & integrity hostage". This whole Anglican debacle reminds me of Plato's Ship of State metaphor.
If the ACNA thinks they can straddle the fence on this issue, they are kidding themselves. As a former member of the Atlantic Gulf Diocese of the ACNA, I was appalled when I heard what their current bishop (Alex Farmer) said about Fr. Calvin. It was absolutely sickening.
Good to see Galvin again.
Calvin, you look ever ready for spiritual battle with that cut, (although not of your denomination) l have been following your journey for years as l think we all have a lot to learn from your resolute fortitude.
God bless you for being strong in your faith and inspirational teachers. Thanks be to God.
Father Calvin is in my prayers, just as all my faithful Catholic Priests. Especially those persecuted by their own Church! We have "Pope" Francis as our very own Persecutor.
I stand with you both and continue to pray for you both daily 🙏🏼❤️ Hold fast to that which is good.
Father Calvin gives me such hope that the church will survive the degradation of these idoliters and betrayers of the ONE true faith. These people skinsuit and mock everything holy and true! Thank you, Father Calvin, and rev Murphy for standing and showing what it means to stand in the light and stand strong with faith! Much love and peace be on you both and the love of our father protect and keep you! This is why i have ni church where i live, az deeply as i know i need it in my life, i would rather go without, than risk my soul with these people. It's heartbreaking for me, but any church that will NOT speak out against pride as a deadly sin is not a church i want to stand as a member of.
Rev Brett, Father Calvin thankyou for the sacrifices you have both made, in preserving the integrity of the true faith. 🙏
I hate that this happened to you Fr. Calvin. I especially hate that it happened in my state of South Carolina. I also happen to be one of those guys who drive trucks and have lots of guns haha.
I pray for both of you both in your fight for the truth. I hope that the Lord may use this to spark a more serious conversation on women’s ordination in the ACNA.
God bless you both.
Im PNCC, we’re super excited about our talk with the G3!
Keep going Calvin, ive just watched your interview with Tommy Robinson, it was outstanding you are a credit to any church who holds your beliefs and well done to both of you for such an honest interview.
Thank you for this very important interview. As a Catholic, I am wondering if those verses are read at Mass anymore. Ironically, I was raised in a very Bible-based Protestant church and I know those verses well. Feminism, in my opinion, has infiltrated evey denomination. I found the comment from the lady at the coffee shop quite shocking ! Not only did she not recognize the Scripture verses when read, she thought the Bible could be "updated" ! God bless you both and may God have mercy on us all.
I'm Eastern Orthodox and we have no feminism in our church. The most us women are involved in is singing in the choir in some churches. I'm a choir member myself🙏🏻☦️🕊️
@@atomicsnowflakeYou don't pray or prophesy then!
@@kenbeach5021 - Your question is very vague, of course women in Orthodoxy in Church pray silently within themselves but not out loud in public. Only the priest or deacon or (male robed) reader does that. The men don't pray out loud either. As for 'prophesy' , what does that ACTUALLY mean? If it means proclaiming and explaining the Gospel; then the priest does it. If it means something 'charismatic' then God forbid!
@@atomicsnowflake - Amen!
@@marcokite I was being a little tongue in cheek, but I don't believe the apostle Paul contradicted himself in 1 Cor when he spoke of women _praying or prophesying_ , the latter by definition public, and then enjoined them to be _silent_ a few minutes later. I take the silence of 1 Cor 14 to apply when prophecy is being weighed, not all the time. Prophecy I understand as a Spirit prompted word to a specific congregation at a specific time. It is not teaching.
I hold to 1 Tim 2, but this must not be misused to prevent women exercising gifts and ministries outside of pastor/teacher, which is a lot, and (which you won't like) ministry should be rescued from an ordained clergy class and be spread across the membership. Leaders yes, but a clergy/laity distinction isn't biblical.
I have been waiting for your response!
Rev 22 :18-19 For I testify to anyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; if anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plates that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the prophecy of this book, God will shall take away his part from the book of Life...
Thank you for posting your interview it was informative
Disussion bout the condition of the church
Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Read his books. His is a voice of sanity, measured and clear.
So thankful for you both!
thank you for that beautiful prayer
Fr Calvin is A brave decent soul who is not afraid to voice his opinions or express his devotion to his faith .Protect free speech.Protect people’s right to worship in Their own way .🙏🙏💕💕🌺🌻🌻
I was raised Episcopalian, but the last time I attended a service at the local church was easily before 2010. I was shocked to hear all the things they don't do in their services. Starting at age 9 or 10, I was an altar server, and everything that was said they don't do now, is exactly what I had to do. Wearing an alb & cincture, processing in/out, Gospel procession, etc. It's very difficult to imagine a service there without any of that.
Love you both! So glad there are Godly men leading the Church through this time of massive confusion. Biblical Truth is my focus through all of this mess.
I agree with you "Feminism started all of this rhetoric" Hold fast to the truth thank you
Thank you for your courage to speak up for the truth of the scriptures! I’m always encouraged by both of you! Blessings!
I never cease to be uplifted by the words of Calvin.
Surprising story, that Fr. Calvin was treated so unkindly and "canceled" without reasonable debate. Certainly reflects poorly on the Mere Anglican conference. And as usual, wonderful interview with Fr. Calvin - he is so logical and clear. But I do miss his afro - why the new look? 🙂
Thank you, both of you.
Well done, Rev’d Fathers.
Greetings! This video is extremely significant. Thank you for making and sharing this.
First I want to say that you two young men give hope that when Christ returns he will find the faith on earth.
Father Calvin, although I live in Syracuse, New York State, I have followed your career, with prayers! You have become the canary in the coal mine! God is mightily using you.. And have no doubt he is training you. "They hated me, so they will hate you," a bad paraphrase.
Father Brett, I found your videos just before you left the CoE. I cried at your last video in that former church. I was overjoyed at your next videos. I even got up at 4 am to watch your first mass. How wonderfully God supported you!
Father Calvin, when GBN cancelled you, I stopped watching it. They were disgusting.
I left the USA Episcopal Church in 1993, I was 42. Some day I will list my reasons. But because I jumped ship early in what was obviously the degradation of 'the faith of our fathers,' I really don't know these organizations.
I roamed around the Protestant denominations, but found no home. Finally I became Roman Catholic.
Actually I haven't been able to follow you good men for a while, as the Pope has been behaving badly. It has been astonishing to see his antics. I saw most of this before, in the Episcopal Church. I am living in deja vue!
And I am trying to figure out what umbrella is best for when the dissolution happens.
We all have been born in interesting times!
Father Calvin, the Old South (where you were) is either monied or white trash (as Southerners call them, not me!) Some middle class nowadays. But the century and a half divide still stands. I found that Old South to be racist, classist (rich looking down on all others), ageist, and sexist (the demeaning kind, all is about power plays).
There is much that part of the nation still has to work through. I could still feel Civil War sentiments down there. "The South will rise again" was the catch phrase. I wish, like the phoenix bird, it would rise anew and leave its old suppositions behind. It is a staid community that is afraid of change. Of course not all folks. But it sounds like the people you dealt with are Traditional Old South. They are very closed minded and believe that is a virtue.
I am sorry you stepped into that beehive.
You make me think of the prophet Jeremiah! God bless you both, Fathers Calvin and Brett. You both are the hope for the future of Christ's Church.
✝️🛐💟🙏🏻🕊️🕯️🌹
I’m glad that Calvin stated the priority of the issue: I’ve heard it often spoken about as a ‘second order issue’, with no accompanying outline of how the individual arrived at that assessment! One of the issues with Protestantism is that it sees the Eucharist as ‘just bread and wine’, meaning that the officer serving does not necessarily have to be a man. That and allowing women to teach and preach in church was always going to collapse things in the way that it has. That very hermeneutic allows for a swathe of heresies that follow. In effect, Anglicans have ‘shot themselves in the proverbial foot’. Fantastic discussion and huge respect to Calvin!
Yeah i think that the non-sacramentality of protestant rituals emboldens the feminist train.
Catholics and eastern orthodox recognize that, of course women could probably “lead” the mass better than any man. She’d say a the right words and make all the right signes better than any man! That’s probably quite true. But we’re at church for the sacraments, for the extraordinary graces that will help us attain the beatific vision. And this is where the delusion of “i can do everything better than any man” must stop.
No need go back and forth quoting scripture verses at one another.
Calvin! Your hair!! 😮. Miss the fro but still love ya. 😢😁🤗.
Hope you can speak in the Pacific Northwest someday! Thanks for your voice in the world.
And much support for you Calvin with love from the USA ❤️🇺🇸🍪☕️
Rev.Brett Murphy great video, I say this with humility as i respect you, you tend to interject alot when Calvin was speaking 🙏🏽☦️✝️
Esteemed Both......here it is 0009hrs in NZ 🇳🇿...how am I supposed to get to sleep after such an illuminating and absorbing discussion....
Thank you for the blessing!
Great to listen to you both speak christian truths. It makes my heart sing!
Chin up Calvin I search out GAFCON churches when attending in London and come away feeling comfortably blessed instead of uncomfortably confused
Great interview thank you both
Father Calvin IS so brave!
Quite a few months (or years?) ago I was praying about the established church, and before me I saw a plimbline. I looked this up in the bible and was drawn to Amos 7 v7-9.
Stand fast.
Robinson is pissed off because the Anglicans, recognising his egoism, refused to ordain him.
Listening to what you have just said about feminism, I am being led to believe the same thing. In fact returning to Eve and the first temptation. After Eve was tempted she almost instantly began to covet. Part of that coveting she wanted to be equal to our Heavenly Creator. In my mind that was where feminism first began.
I have never believed in feminism, nor have been on.
I like your hair by the way
Oh my look at the hair. Awesome. But man loved the fro though.
However Calvin prefers to have his Hair, I respect Him!
But I did like his fuller head of hair! 🎉🙏🏻
Quite shocked to see you shorn, Rev! I loved that exuberant hair style! But do not allow your biblical stance to be clipped, ever.
So good to see you guys ❤️
As a South Carolinian in Myrtle Beach SC Bishop Chip Edgar has been very vocal and known for what seems to be his personal goal of ordaining as many women as possible. If I had to guess he may have been behind removing Father Calvin from the panel on the final day directly but thats just speculation.
Wow, that's depressing news.
Aside ftom the root issues mentioned around women being ordained, there seems to be lack of capable and willing men to step into leadership roles. Harvest is plenty and workers are few
That is because men have emasculated by raging feminism. Have you noticed the commercials and also online, how men are represented as stupid, weak dolts and women are smarter and stronger. This has been going on for many years and is disgusting
Thank you, Brethren. More Power to you/us!
The Catholic Cathedral in Charleston is gorgeous. The garden of Our Lady is adjacent. No doubt she sustained Calvin. The Georgian style of the town buildings is so lovely. American anglicans have strayed from their roots. So glad Calvin reached out in favor of the old time religion. Every faith agreed with him until a few short years ago.
Your final prayer summed it up nicely. Stand firm in the faith.
I just finished listening to Gavin Ashenden talking about Calvin's experience at Mere Anglicianism Conference
I haven't seen this yet, but I can't take Gavin seriously about holy orders considering his history, even though I know we agree on the heresy of WO. Sadly, Fr. Calvin may be in the same boat since he felt FCE orders were not sufficient.
I just saw this and am a bit disappointed the ACNA is having these types of issues. Satan is a roaring lion seeking to devour. Father Brett thank you for keeping us up to date. God bless you.
A clarifying and encouraging conversation. We know we are at a turning point. You give us the coordinates. And most importantly the right azimuth: the actual way forward. How? Among other reasons, because both of you think so honestly and so clearly.
Feminism does not suggest that men and women are the same. Not a bit if it. Feminism states that men and women should be given equal opportunities in those areas where it is possible. I.e. earn the same wage for the same job, equal opportunity to borrow money, equal opportunity to pursue careers, equal opportunity to speak out. And everything else. Equal opportunity. Not the same.
'Act the same', what does that actually mean? To act, as in to pretend to be something? Or are you trying to say, perform the same duties? There are plenty of tasks where it makes zero difference whether undertaken by a man or a woman. Too many to describe. There are some tasks where a male body or a female body is far better suited. Equal opportunity means that for the tasks where it makes no difference, men and women should have the same opportunity. I.e. men should not be discriminated against either, such as nursing, which men do very well.
As for 'modern' feminism, I am well aware that there are several 'waves' of feminism, (as explained to me by a rather condescending young millennial). That's fine for those studying gender politics, but in the everyday world, it's a more simple proposition. If you believe that women and men should be offered the same opportunities and same remuneration, for the same tasks, and if you believe that men and women both need support, instead of abandoning both men and women to languish in roles they cannot undertake, then you are somewhere near to understanding humanity and feminism. Feminism is a way of seeing the world which supports people in a more humane manner. I don't give a damn about political waves and gender theory, I'm interested in the fact that I was able to study at university and get degrees, and once I was not. Why did that change? Because of feminism.
I think you are speaking of the old-school feminism, from the 70's and before. What Fr. Brett calls egalitarianism is also not what the word used to mean.
@louisetrott5532 I think you've hit the nail on the head as far as why there's such a disagreement about women being able to be priests. One side says, of course a woman can do what a priest does, look at what Father So-and-So does. The other side says, hold on, it's not that simple, and there's a deeper reality to address.
We need a different word for this new ideology that says bodily differences are illusory. "Feminism" it ain't.
I read his article on Substack it was unbelievable informative. Loved it! I come from another spectrum of the evangelical world. I am very encouraged by what God is doing to bring about reform through fearless men, young men might I add. Blessings one and all
Stay strong Fr. Calvin!
This SC Native is extremely disappointed and not being able to see and hear you speak in Charleston. I pray you will come again and I will be able to see you and hear you speak.❤🙏🌹
Prayers for you both!! Stay the course, stay strong and steadfast! God will steer you both to safe harbour.
Just spoke with Beth and Chip Edgar. They were
@nikkihaley
voters in last SC governor's race. They are voting for
@JamesSmithSC
this time. Beth said Republicans have gone too far to the right on guns, immigration. Again, this is Smith's home precinct. He's set to vote here soon
Found this tweet from 2018 that clearly shows that Bishop Edgar and his wife are liberal in politics and life saying we go too far on guns and immigration etc. Kinda says it all honestly.
Well done, Fr Calvin!! Bravo!!!!!
Great interview...
Thank you gentlemen for your wisdom and courage to.speak out.
May you always continue to speak the truth. Just love how brave you are in this world that is more and more. hostile to Christianity
. love you both and love and admire Calvin. May God bless you and keep you.
A man with sound doctrine and a spine speaks at a conference in Charleston SC and was treated the way Calvin was....ugh! I'm from Charleston and I see, as a female, the southern church's (heck a large amount of American churches) are anything but bible following. I was the same until I was born again in 2020. The bible is truth. The bible is just as relevant today as it was written historically. The bible is clear. Thank you Calvin for standing firm!
