The problem is, legally, you agreed to this when you chose the update. No way around that, though, unless you quit the META platform altogether.

Hey Tracy, If you haven't found a solution yet, I finally figured one out if you or others still need help. I was as frustrated as you are! I asked Meta AI "How do I turn you off?" It replied with type "STOP", then hit send button. It actually worked!
This ai garbage has just appeared. Why cant removing it be as easy?

@@shelbyy18 I don't know as I have only owned android phones. Knowing Facebook as a company, I doubt there is a way to disable the Meta AI on iphones as I have not found any way to remove it on android.

That's because you can't just "delete" AI. It's integrated into the app. This is suggesting you uninstall the current version, reinstall an older version. The problem becomes that the older version won't be supported, and opens you up to more problems. Facebook for the web (an actual computer) does not have AI.
Facebook won't let messages work on old versions.
FB NEEDS TO STOP fixing things that are not broken. There are enough things that SHOULD be fixed!!!

Yes you can remove it as simply as deleting the app and reloading it. Meta AI will appear as a contact now not at the bottom of the screen as a search anymore.
Not every phone allows you to uninstall Crackbook.
All this AI does is get in my way on Facebook and my computer its ridiculous I didn't ask for help from AI it's terrible and makes things harder not easier!!
