Oh, the greatness of this show. Staying out when the street lights coming on. Playing doorbell ditchum, sneeking a kiss from my neighbor, talking about the school dance, writing love notes, walking hand and hand after school, listening to these cool songs. Yeah!! That were my wonder year's!!!
How I wish, our Country was still this way. We don't create shows like this anymore, our families and communities, aren't what they were either. I love this show and I still watch it regularly, but at times, it's painful and makes me see how far Americans have strayed from these values and what made our Country strong. I would love to see things like this being created again, different shows focusing on different Americans and others focusing on us as a whole, but all containing the same values. So, we can give the younger generations, the same memories and things that we had growing up. I want that for all of us and I hope, that we can go back to things like this, before we completely lose our way. I would hate to see that and I think in doing things like this, we could begin to focus on more positive things in this Country, that make all of us better people. Individually and as a whole. I'm happy, as I go through these comments and see others, who feel exactly like I do. It makes me have hope, that we aren't completely lost.
A week ago, i reunited with my Winnie Cooper for the first time after 29 year's. We talk about our very first kiss in that dinner. And i found myself thinking about this show all the time... I love my era.
I loved this show so much that hearing the theme song woke me up in the middle of the night. When I went into the living room to watch it & saw it was the actual song being played by a band I WAS PISSED!!! I was like 7....32yrs later & I'm still not over it!!!
You're a naughty one, Saucy Jack You're a haughty one, Saucy Jack When the streetlamp's gaslight flickers and fails Then you see the last light glinting off the entrails
LOl...me too, 1st episode was after Super Bowl, forget which one, think Denver vs Washington, I was around the same age, I'll never forget my first kiss. who does?
"Maybe we both realized that growing up doesn't have to be so much a straight line, as a series of advances...and retreats. Maybe we just felt like swinging? But whatever it was, Winnie and I made an unspoken pact that day to stay kids for just a little while longer." I mean, is there a better scene that just says "Awwww" than that?
Gotcha! The original version of course. It's funny that Fred's younger brother Ben would later star for BMW. They also acted together in the Wonder Years episode "St. Valentine's Day Massacre".

I love Daniel Stern's voice as narrator and how he adds such emotion in his narration and then adds some comedy into it.

At its core the wonder years, for me At least, was all about Kevin and Winnie.

TV Drama of substance so cool
today it would be dangerous for a little girl to be alone in the woods....kids can not even play outside in the park anymore....
martin crespo That’s true
Vary true. We could play in a park alone in the 90s but thAt was the last of it
