  • Projecting on a wall.
    Wanted to see how big I could go without losing focus too much.
    As the image shows, focus was pretty great on edges, if not 100%.
    Image length is about 147 inches. Roughly 170 inch screen.
    Ran out of wall.
    Stay tuned.

    Great video!! May I ask 2 questions? Is this projected onto a screen? And just like the samsung premiere. Do the bulbs last a while or is there a time you have to change them out. Or it's obsolete? THX =)

      This is on the wall. Laser projectors don't have bulbs. lasers last a long time, 4 time longer than traditional bulbs. Can't replace them.

      People buying these UST projectors to use it as a TV in living room , thats why they call it laser TV also , ALR screen kills the most day light or having some lights on in the room & also gives u much better pic quality & rich VIVD colors, because of screen made materials , on wall like this, don't gives u that pic & soon some light coming throw get really washed out & hard to see the pic in daytime from side windows , check out other VAVA videos with ALR screen u will see the differents, that's why we have regular or short throw projectors

    In comparison to the Optoma P2, I want a 200-inch screen size . What do you recommend?
    Vava 4k vs optoma p2 4k

    • @zas786
      @zas786  2 года назад +1

      Optoma is a better projector overall.
      Higher brightness (3000 ANSI vs. 2500) makes it suitable for bigger image size. Keep in mind, image won't be razor sharp at that size for either of these. But, overall, optoma is better and also more expensive.

    How tall is the ceiling to achieve a size like this? I'm thinking of trying this in a basement.

      9 foot ceiling. I would have gone bigger if i could. Still looking for a bigger space to try what a 250 inch image will look like with this projector.

    i thought VAVA only support Size up to 150"Inches. Is the colour washes away when you go over 150Inches? I think when you go over 150inches the bulb hours get decreased. also fan start running in full speed.

    • @Dzazter
      @Dzazter 2 года назад +3

      Wow. And how exactly do you think the projector knows how big the picture is? And even if it did, how exactly would that cause the bulb (which a laser project doesn’t even have) to work harder?

    • @stephenang499
      @stephenang499 2 года назад +2

      @@Dzazter The further you go to get a larger image, the laser light source automatically gets weaker and the image gets washed out, to compensate u have to run the projector at higher brightness and hence noisier fan.

    • @shannonjennings1454
      @shannonjennings1454 2 года назад +3

      The laser will not get weaker by moving the UST projector back a few more inches. You may lose overall brightness and lose some image sharpness but with a 4k projector, you're not going to lose that much. These companies "limit" the size to 120-150" because of the image sharpness and brightness loss. These UST 4k projectors (or laser TV's) are meant to replace your tv so if they advertise it as up to 300" range, it won't be as sharp as 100-120" size but the 100-120" size they do recommend is larger than most affordable 4k TV's.

      Moreover there is a fixed vertical angle of projection. So if you don’t want to have a part of the picture on your ceiling ... (the bigger the image is, the more the bottom part is high because of that fixed angle)
