I'm amazed that in 2017 people like Kim, with sooooo many resources and people behind her, still fail to come out with truly dark shades. I'm not even black, or remotely tan and this bothers me. There were people who came to her launch party who were darker than this palette like cmonnn bruh.

Kim has the influence to get all shades of Black in to test out her makeup. Just doing basic browns without that research shows she don't care about inclusion she cares about $.
It literally pisses me off when I see things like this. It's literally 2017 and the fact that we still can't differentiate between dark and deep dark. Like it's really not that difficult. And for Kim who has a black husband and mixed kids, it really shouldn't have been that hard for her to know that her deep dark, is not deep dark, that looks more like a medium/dark to me. And what really confuses me is the fact that so many people are raging about these products and even expecting quality products from a woman who can't even do her own make-up. Like who literally encouraged to start this line, I would understand mario making it because he is an artist and he actually understands the concept behind make up, but we unfortunately get the inexperienced Kim trying to sell us products when she doesn't even know the basics herself 😴😴😴 we need to stop giving money to people who are just trying to dabble in things that they're not experienced in and actually start investing in experienced and fully informed brands that know exactly what they're doing

As a pale af girl I was unaware of how many issues poc have when it comes to representation in the beauty community until I started watching you a few years back but it's made me a more careful consumer as I do not buy from brands that do not cater to/advertise to/respect poc. Makeup is for everyone and if you choose to exclude fellow makeup lovers then bye girl 👋🏻 I'm taking my money to someone who will. I'm glad you frankly and informatively speak out on these issues because I feel like the majority of white beauty gurus do not, which is disappointing and, frankly, helps the discrimination continue.

Empathy is definitely a big thing, we arent all exactly the same but we can surely support the uplifting of each others sense of identity and worth. I really appreciate your ethical approach on the beauty industry. its refreshing to know I can always come to your channel for honesty, not only your opinion as an mua but as a consumer. I think there are a ton of issues that need to be addressed in the beauty community. The obvious exclusion of darker shades in most lines is a huge problem. I also wish more brands made cruelty free makeup as well, but that's a whole other issue. anyways, thanks for always being yourself and using your platform for something more important than the latest new trends and challenges.

anyaibe favour I'm a little bit more tan than shaaanxo and even the palette is waaaaay to warm and dark for my skin tone. She should have really expanded her brand on both ends of the spectrum. You can't call something deep if the spectrum of the palette matches the skin tone of someone like Jackie. You also can't call something light if it fits the skin tone of someone who is medium and tan. It's very bizarre.
I think that she was TRYING to give the impression that she was being thoughtful about darker skin, so yeah, she should be held accountable.
