This was SO MUCH FUN!! We absolutely love seeing behind the scenes of these haunts, it makes us appreciate the work so much more. KSF was incredible for its 50th year - we did each maze like 5x over the course of the season (maybe more, in the case of Cinema Slasher...). We'll have to remember those buttons in Wax Works next year 👀
There’s something fun about seeing how a creator names their files when they render them out to upload - seriously… I love a peek inside your head and workflow, Justin.
Wax Works was the maze I worked for my first haunt season back in 2019. Before the season started, we got a lights on tour of the maze by Daniel Miller himself, so seeing this video is bringing back the memories.
Honestly, Scary Farm is my favorite haunt. I need to go a couple of times next year. I really wish Knotts would do daytime tours for people that don't like the jumpscares but also really wants to just take it all in at a slightly slower pace than at night (and with less strobe lights). I would go many many times.
As someone who works at a haunt in Utah, I absolutely love this! Hopefully one day we can see you down here. At the haunt I'm at we are in a warehouse and it two floors full of different themed rooms
Great video! I went to KSF and Waxworks was the very first maze we went through. For me, it was my first haunt since 2008; I used to be a scaredy cat, but now I think I disappointed the scare actors! Benjamin Franklin comes out at me and I just stared at his dark, empty eyes and said, "Oh, hi there! Are you... Benjamin Franklin?" I recognized his look. I know my history. He just stared at me for a solid three to four seconds before slowly nodding. "Oh my gosh! It's such an honor to meet you! May I shake your hand?" This guy had no idea how to deal with me. Another silent stare before hesitantly raising a gloved hand to mine, which I shook before adding, "I read your autobiography. You've done great work! Have a wonderful night, Mr. Franklin!" And off I went, long abandoned by my party and now somehow the leisurely lead in the darkness for the entire line of people now behind me who didn't just pass me. They looked terrified. I looked like I was admiring an art exhibition. A lot changes in 15 and a half years! Between other folks art, my own writing, and such media as your Randomland Frights videos, I've really gotten braver over the years. Short of being unable to participate due to excessive strobe lights, I'm finally feeling able to participate in things like this, and I love it! So... thanks, Justin and the Randomland crew. Folks like you have helped me be able to experience stuff that I love without being as jumpy as I used to be! I only got startled about four or five times, and half of that was scare zones, haha.
I can't do scary things due to the flashing lights and having seizures from the strobes and lasers, so I want to say a big THANK YOU for doing this behind the scenes tour because I got to enjoy all the creepy cool things without the distress. Thank you to Jeff for this behind the scenes story.
I've been watching you a long time and just wanted to throw along well-deserved kudos for the evolution of your vlogs. Love the new sophistication while not losing what makes you special! Just an appreciation job-well-done.
Knotts really knocks it out of the park with scary farm, next level stuff!! Thank you for doing this walk through with the lights on had no idea about the backstory to this, so great!! Will make so much more sense when i walk through it next time!! Hope to see more mazes covered in the future by you! 😁
Im so glad you made this video, Justin, (dang autocorrect!) I am such a woose, and I will never ever go to any of these haunted ----whatevers!! I am one big, old chicken!!! At least this way I received a backstory & a tiny bit of the scary! Thank you!!! 👍👍
The Movieland wax museum had a short lived exhibit called The BLACK BOX...I used to have Super 8mm movie film of it..😢😮💨....But anyway..Look it up on line..I believe that I was able to come up with a few brochure sights.
May I say this knott’s scary farm was awesome plus it was great to see you again but can I tell you this Justin while I was here at the final night I was at the wax works and I was at the wax doll part till a scare actor girl gave me a good scare till she was following my mom and she said to my mom this is for him and she gave me a glow stick and now I Have a glow stick I posted it on my TikTok if you want to see it now the glow stick gift made me confused also love your videos

So very interesting, I haven't gone into haunts in years, now I am rethinking it.
Nice walkthrough Justin, great to see it from the designers side.
Excellent! Great camera work, Tyler.

Great tour. This is such a great maze. I'll have to check out some of these details on my next walk though.

Hi from Utah J. & A., looking forward to your first post on the Disneyland redo of the treehouse. Looks like a back to Swiss F.R. remake.
