- Okay, so I was originally planning to finish a Dracula track first, but most of my work got lost on my computer, and so I've been internally screaming for a very long time. Anyway, enjoy this Jekyll & Hyde animatic, hope you like it. It's been so much for me since I love this musical so much, and hope you'll enjoy it as well.
I do not own anything, but the art of course.

Can I just say that I particularly love all the religious iconography?
-The painting of Archangel Michael fighting Satan (the Snake) on Judgement Day
-The Scales
-The Snake in general (representing Hyde/The Devil/Sin/Etc.)
-The Fallen Angel Wings on Jekyll
I’m not religious, but I love Theology, so those details were cool to see. Applying them to this song was also really cool, and they fit so well :)
I love when animatics creators make this kind of references(?). It is so familiar, yet so refreshing.
And when it is chosen wisely, on a places it should be and hidden in an animation smartly, when found, it gives a whole new or deeper meaning to the animation. I am always in awe when I catch those subtle religious sparks and I love it!
I’m religious, (Christian, not catholic) and i also thought these details were so cool!

bruh, idk if you’re even still reading comments on this, but the very last moment where Jekyll drinks the potion but it’s actually Hyde pouring it down his throat from the shadows... that was sheer artistic genius. i loved this. even the part where Jekyll takes the key and Hyde wraps around him as a snake, i could see it twisting and curling around him as if it was actually fully animated. your stops are so well-placed and make so much sense i can actually imagine it animated all the way through, and that’s not something i can say about a lot of other animatics i’ve seen for other things. keep up your work, you’re so talented.

@@ohno7813I know this is three years late but I absolutely love how you turn the words into pictures, all of your animatics are so genius and I love all the flashes between jekyll and hyde towards the end as they mash into one person (especially in your confrontation animatic)
Love that a snake turned into Hyde. Very fitting, since snakes in stories are often seen as slippery evil-doers.

Its animatics like this, that makes me think we need a modern Jekyll and Hyde animation. 1) it's just one hell of a story, and 2) I feel like animation would just do what live action cant do with the characters

i love that his knowledge is seen as a deal with the devil since the revelation of knowledge through snakes or the devil are seen as sins, especially if you consider that lucifer means light bringer/enlighter in terms of semantics. so jekyll knowing is the price of the devil
A theatrical group was setting up auditions to Jekyll & Hyde musical and your animation got me the part, watching Hyde tempt Jekyll with the answers he seeks gave me the idea of change the last part of the song as Hyde begging to Jekyll to make the mistake of drinking the potion.

Like, he's been taunting Jekyll with the key to everything the entire video, knowing full-well what Jekyll's ultimate decision is and just refusing to just give it to him. And then when Jekyll finally comes to his resolve, he's just like "Oh, you meant *this* key~?"

This is amazing, I loved how you took the entire plot into consideration, and I love that you magnified the religious overtones. That's the best part of the whole Jekyll Hyde story IMO.
I love this song, and it's more accurate to the original story. I think that the story line with his ailing father sort of muddied the waters. It felt unnecessary, and then they didn't really do it service. Just have the motivation be Jekyll's scientific and moral curiosity.
You should definitely do confrontation at some point.

That was amazing. I love how you hint at Hyde's birth threw the potion, the key, Jekyll's reflections and shadows.
It makes Jekyll and Hyde more tragic in this video when Jekyll is shown exactly what's gonna happen once he drinks that potion, but does it anyway.

I agree."I need to know" & "No one must ever know" is rarely used in present productions and they are the stronger memorable songs!
I have seen another animatic of this but it was very anticlimactic. It was well drawn but not very interesting.
This one, on the other end, is a roller coaster from beginning to end and I LOVE IT!

Haunting. Breathtaking, and haunting. I really like your sense of motion, it added so much to the impact. I specifically liked the key swinging around, first when the snake moves out of reach, then when the snake became Hyde, also, when Henry was gazing through the window and was shocked by Hyde's image, that backward movement was beautiful.
This is awesome. The last part from 3.20 to 3.27 is truly outstanding.

Jekyll & Hyde is easily in my top five favorite musicals! I love this so much! I've come back to it and the others for this musical you've done. They make me so happy because, if this was turned into a movie, I can see the staging and choreography going like this. Amazing job!
