So true; watching news channels on RUclips outside the US helped me see Covid for the threat it was, so I simply bought a little extra every time I went to the store to build up.aome supplies. Now I also have the earthquake kit I should have made decades ago. Sadly, most folks are too lazy to read political history; to understand how dictators like Hitler rise to power. The uninformed fail to see the authoritarianism and fascism of Trump, DeSantis, and others as the threat to our democracy they are. Of course; many folks fail to look into how a technology like EV's is growing geometrically, hiw ICE is dying, etc.

So nice to hear that about your upcoming trip. I'm writing this from Seoul (I live in CA) and travel has been a big part of my life. I think all children should travel to both bountiful places and also the many places in the world where life is not so easy. Safe travels!

I was lucky growing up that we could do a lot of traveling, driving across the country every summer hitting the national parks, plus a crucial, wonderful year spent on Europe. Consumers won’t be the majority of optimus buyers. Rather factory manufacturers and business owners looking to replace wage laborers will be buying most of the optimus robots.

Elon finally seems human and empathetic / likeable again.
Elon Musk is the only entrepreneur capable of deploying safely technological robots to our society. It’s amazing his approach and business model, a massive breakthrough for TESLA shareholders.
Best shareholder’s meeting. Liked Elon appreciating the Diamond Hands HODLers. Epic Faber interview, especially well considered statement on the qualities of “helpful” advertising.
I believe paid ads are still an expensive mistake. A dedicated FUD busting department, leveraging social media and credible spokespeople, on the other hand seems a better route.

Stop by Iceland, rent an RV, and drive what is called the Ring road. You will be glad you did. I did that a while back. It is a 10 to 14 day trip. It is the things you see along the way that make it worthwhile. Stop often to see what is of intrest to you.

I bet the 2 newest vehicles in the pipeline are a compact car the $25K one. And then either a van or a bus. I know they've been working with mercedes sprinters so i'd probably lean more towards the van before the commercial bus. I think they will all be made eventually and that will pretty much cover all of the bases. I know people want a model 3 lower priced type hatchback with more trunk space as well which would probably also sell very well. Maybe that will be the next model 2 $25K ish car.

Total cost to US society for motor vehicle accidents per year is approx $340 billion.
Total Fleet mile in the US per year = Approx 3.2 trillion
Average accident rate for Teslas on Auto pilot is one per 4.85 million miles.
Average accident rate for Teslas not using Autopilot is one per 1.40 million miles
National average accident rate is one per 652,000
Given those data points how much does the Tesla fleet save society per year in accident related costs compared to the national average?
What regenerative ai site did you use to make those Tesla semi truck RVs on Twitter.
Is there a list of companies covered under Tesla Stock?
What about margins in energy software?
I agree with Musk. The potential value of an all robot labor force runs into the trillions per year of profits. Even the sky isn't the limit. The solar system is the limit.
Honest question, what is the killer app for the Optimus robot?
In the back of Elon’s mind I’m sure it’s replacing employees. Eventually we’ll have to come up with some guaranteed minimum income scheme, since workers will be displaced, but nobody is ready to wrestle with that yet.

When I engage FSD Beta, it can’t even back out of my driveway, nor can it put itself into park. Not sure how you have a self driving car that does nothing but go forward. Major miss.
I was surprised when he said that about his humanoid robot! Many companies have tried and failed to developed a jack-of-all trades humanoid robot. Just ask Honda about Asimo!

Optimus should be scalable from childlike size to larger scale units for heavy duty use, for instance a unit that was say 16ft tall could do construction, painting, picking, placing heavy pallets in high storage areas, tree trimming, etc. So many dangerous jobs out there that are hard to fill.
I don't want a 16 foot tall robot who might go sentient someday and go on a rampage.

Robots for those applications exist but they don’t need to take on human-like forms, as they can defeat the purpose and become intimidating. Human-like robots should be companions who are good at delicate and minutiae movements and able to acquire new skills like us.
Just bought a model Y performance red with white interior dream car now the dreaded wait says jun-july 2023 so I’m gonna buy accessories and get my charger installed prior to going from 2021 c300 Mercedes to tesla model y performance should be a blast. Also just got to 200 shares of tesla looking to get to 250 if price has any big dip below 140

Optimus development looks good but it seems like Boston Dynamics/Hyundai is still way ahead with their robotics (e.g., Atlas). Am I missing something here?
The issue with advertising is that it needs to get out of their bubble. If my dad sees the commercial I'd say it was successful in reach. The only way though is through fb or linkedin.
Currently Tesla is able to sell all the cars it produces, though.
