You're right, this is milestone. However, Lewis has had other A list people on his show. So what's the difference? I hope people can see that black folks are not seen as lower class. They don't experience more judgements than anyone else based on skin color. We're all judged on our character, choices we make, how we carry ourselves and how we show up on it world. Period ❤

I love Ice Cube for who he is AND for who he isn't. He's masculine, intelligent, and brave but not a pushover, silly, or a sell-out. He's among the Greatest. My ideal husband-type. Boy N The Hood is a forever classic, but my favorite movie of his is Anaconda. He's a natural comedian. The part about him meeting John Singleton (RIH) was so funny! I love that he brought up the relationship between preparation and confidence. I figured that out in college: the more I knew about a subject (the more I studied and read), the easier it was to write a paper. I know that seems like 'duh,' but I made A's and B's in high school without really doing those things, so I thought that was the recipe for success, and then real life kicked in 😅. But now i carry that principle everywhere.

This is the best interview I've seen because he didn't ask all the usual cliché questions they ask Cube all the time that we all already know the answers to and I'm sure he's tired of being asked. It was a conversation with depth and meaning where we got to know more about Ice Cube. Very good. I grew up listening to Ice Cube since the 90s so this was good he's for sure one of the best artists.
