In 2017, her prior full length album, there was briefly a time when her whole Palette album was top 10 in the Melon (Korean Spotify) chart. She's also an amazing actress. My Mister is one of the top 5 rated (by both critics and viewers) Korean dramas of all time and it's a masterful performance by IU. She's also a rarity in that, over the second half of her career she's written almost all of her own songs, as well as composing many of them and producing some.
