I see Damon as dead gifted as musician But must I say I feel the best parts came out of him while workin with Graham. And as for Graham I love the fact even if he's kind of "nerdy" guitar genious he kept his songwriting pretty simple and even "punkrock" outcome. Cheers!
My dad always used to play this song!! I’ve been listening to it for as long as I can remember, now I’m 14 and I love this band so much :) wish I could’ve gone to see them
you probably dont care but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can watch all the latest series on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother for the last weeks =)

I just love this song, from the first time I heard/ watched in (on MTV) till now (2023!). The lyrics are so simple yet highly relatable. I wish there's a major BLUR Reunion before we all get so old or lose our hearing!
💖 😍 The band love right here 2:43, he keeps them buzzing.. and they still sound JUST the same today, love it and thanks for this. Wanna play this to my wife so much 😒
I love that this song is Graham's show of his talents. Amazingly poignant lyrics, his vocals, and him just wrecking that guitar and waltzing around seemingly with confidence.
I met Graham at a gig my band played at the Barfly (in Camden back a few years ago) I remember he was pretty wasted, but in a good way (I was too) but it really struck me how tall the guy was. He's huge - you see him craning over microphones in videos, but there's no sense of scale. He's fucking massive. I should probably put a 50p coin next to him for comparison
@@robsdianten1 I'm 5' 10" but i'll tell you what, he's big when you meet him. Maybe it's because he's super-gangly. I don't know. He just towered over me. Maybe he was wearing some platforms or shit but I don't think he was. Anyway, no worries
He plays a 4 string guitar because he prefers to move the E shape around the neck. Personally I am lazy and want to move around the neck as little as possible but I guess that's why I'm not a legendary artist
Loved this song when it first came out cos it was another angle to the band with coxon on vocals. Live it has energy and vibes especially with the soulful backing vocals 👌

ALEX'S BASS IS SO FUCKING PERFECT HERE.
Seriously I'm little bit moving to tears when I see Graham singing this song. It always feels so good to see blur back!
did he sing it on the track?
@@IamJacksColon4 Yes he did

Marvelous, i like Alex's bass can be heard so clear on this performance

@Saul Layton Definitely, have been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself :D
I feel like Damon is so proud at that moment at the end of the song. Giving Graham a hug and kiss on the cheek.
i think Graham was really nervous. They only did this on telly because Damon's voice had gone. Probably a very last minute swap.
Oh...we could start over again!!
Good to see Blur back : )
New album out then thats why :) But totally agree, so great to still have them
well, after 8 years they're back again
Always loved Grahams guitar tone in the solo. Like an angry, angry hornet.

Every time they perform this song live, they need someone coming onto the stage in a milk carton costume to dance around.
They did it once! Let me search the link
ruclips.net/video/n-6RCq3SyMA/видео.html here. It was a lucky fan that Damon brought on stage! :)

Damon have a strange different way to play the chords on the guitar.
I think he plays almost every chords in E form... It's a weird way, I agree
rafaelsantosx it is strange but it’s the easiest and most practical way to play this song
He plays a 4 string guitar because he prefers to move the E shape around the neck. Personally I am lazy and want to move around the neck as little as possible but I guess that's why I'm not a legendary artist
yeah what's with that?
Alex James said in his book that it’s because Damon is left handed but plays with his right hand that he plays stuff a bit weird.

'Cause of who you are

There's wisdom there you're sure
'Till the words start swirling/slurring
And you can't find the door
