You were talking about a potential £500 face value coin at the beginning of this video--Japan has issued commemorative gold 100,000 yen coins (although only in 1986, '87 and '90), and that would be a face value of about £540!
Nope. Coins that are damaged beyond the point they can be used will be removed, melted and replaced but there is no plan to actively remove the coins of the Queen just to replace then with the new King
If the proportion of size:weight of coinage uplift (bronze/nickel/gold finished) was carried on what material , size and weight would you make £50 . £100 and £500 coins ?
Hey Christopher, I have a question to ask you. Have you thought of collecting coins which referees use in all sports like football, soccer, tennis and any other sports where they use coins to decide who plays first? Are they made at the Royal Mint or not?

Had a Mary Rose as change from a bus driver tonight. Is it worth keeping?
Yes, Mary Rose is a definite keeper! 🎉
The "Mary Rose" is hard to find...I'd say "keep it."
Will the Mint be taking some of the QE11 coins out of circulation for melting to issue the new KC111 née coins?

Had a 100 year anniversary of the London Olympic Games…..is it worth more than face value? Many thanks Graham
🌠 find has to be the Navy Centenary because of its condition.

It means a lot to me that you corrected yourself from saying inscripted to inscribed after I pointed it out!
I can't recall the face value of my 1kg silver Queen's Beasts Completer coin? Is it 500 GBP, or 200GBP?
Do you think the new definitives that go into circulation will have the privy mark or not?
