Nova was in a group home for several of her teen years, so she was involved in some of what this portrays for a few years. And Nova had Tom shoot the parts featuring her, and someone else filmed the other parts for her. I believe Evan Morgan mixes and masters her and Tom's music. Nova finally is now completely free of the contract she was in from a record label, something she has been fighting to do for years, so I believe she is working on a new album now. The contract is part of the reason she hasn't released much in the last few years.
Nova played the guitar in this song. Tom produced it and Tom recorded the parts of the video that showed Nova. Their friend Evan Morgan does the mixing and mastering for them.

Same everything, same people involved. Sometimes Tom produces beats, sometimes Nova & she also buys stuff she likes. Tom shot Nova here at this location, but Nova always sets up the shots, lighting, directing when she can't shoot & edits it all, Jared does the effects & Evan mixes/masters. There are a few other trusted people who help with shoots when Nova cannot physically be there & there is a person they trust to do all the art, a very small group when you consider the end product. Nova was in group homes in Canada from 15 to 18 years old living the life she describes here. #HOG4Life
Nova said this was hard to do very personal. Nova's music history is kind of messed up. She had to wait out a bad contract with Def Jam. Nova is "The Video Goddess" but she hired someone to shoot the 3 girls' footage I think it hit to close to home for her? Kind of like her recent video "Did Your Best"... that got her too, lost her Grandma between recording and shooting.
I'm just now seeing this. If you like this song, you need to check out Hey You. This one is sad and I can relate to a degree.. But Hey You has a whole nother vibe!
❤HOGFAMLIFE, this was true to her experience and mine as well. I was pushed out by family and the system when i was 14.
And it’s people like you that make this world a better place. No filters and know that kids these days may not complain about serious things
