    It's funny how being able to die at the begining of the adventure is the biggest complain I hear about other campaigns and you make it a short about it

    Is this part of the plan to bring more monetization to d&d?

    Taking the exact opening of the game is not an easter egg, it's setting expectations and the rest of the adventure better live up to it or you'll have a lot of dissapointed players.

    It's pronounced "Sijil" as per Zeb Cook! 😁😉

      There is literally lore about how at least one person has been sentenced to death in Sigil for pronouncing it that way.

      It’s a hard g. If you’re caught saying “Sijil” in the city at the very least you will be ostracized and made fun of for being a prime.

    this is like an anti-advertisement. I guess that is a good service for knowing what books not to buy and play.

      Would recommend to check out the full vdeo on this module. It's not meant to be brutally unfun hard and you die. It just sounds like a module that runs things a bit different in fun and weird ways.
      May not be for everyone, but if you're looking for a campaign that is not 'you meet in a tavern, and now have to save the world', this may be worth checking out.

      @@rootyful No I just like campaigns that respects that a player may like their character and want to develop it. Not CODDLE it of course but not. "Might die in the first little bit and then have to make TWO new ones."

      @@knoldenMore like "Same character, different iterations." He goes on to say it can be as different as race and class changes, or just the same exact human fighter you were playing but with a mustache. Same character, but different body, either 100% different or .01% different.

    • @knolden
      @knolden 11 месяцев назад

      @@danielkubicek1323 that does not change my opinion. To me that is just a weak defense and bad design really. And at that point? You are not playing a character anymore. Just looking at it as a bunch of stats really.

      @GSol17 11 месяцев назад +6

      @@knolden I'm sensing you may just not get the setting. Like you can just have the characters get knocked out and not die or just invent any variety of other reason for it to be literally the same character if it's that important to you for it to literally be the same character. And just because something dies it doesn't mean it's just a bunch of stats, you're allowed to roleplay and make it a real character with depth before that point and then continue making characters with depth and roleplay afterwards. Why are you acting like the only way a character can matter is if it lives?

  • @supersmily5811
    @supersmily5811 11 месяцев назад +2

    Yeah that's bad. The full context here is there's a timeline system wherein you can make new "instances" of your character (like clones from other timelines) to seamlessly replace your character if they die. Problem is, I don't want to do that. I want MY character, THE character and if they lose and can't be revived that's it for them.

      Sounds like this particular adventure isn’t for you. Maybe play one of the 30+ other 5e modules instead. Personally, this is perfect for me because I love making and playing different characters.

      If people aren't understanding why this sucks, think about the Guardians of the Galaxy movies and how much it hurt the overall story that all Gamora's character development was wiped out.
