Akira: (I feel like I failed to accomplish something important...) *Bullet through Akira's head* Akira: (Ah. Right. I was supposed to save myself. Probably should remember that for next time.)
iWolfz Except, the name's in Persona mangas have never been canon. Persona 3's protag was Minato in the manga, but canonically is Makoto. Same with Persona 4's where he was named Souji but in the anime and all the spin-off games, he's Yu
The police.that.dumb THEY INVITED SOMEBODY ELSE INTO HIS ROOM (Akechi) AND YOUR SAYING BEING IN THAT ROOM FOR 30 SECONDS WITH HIM DEAD ISN'T SUSPICIOUS
no that's still a bad ending. It's how AKIRA wants people to be. The Phantom Thieves are popular again but at the cost of people no longer thinking for themselves only caring about the Phantom Thieves. He never went back for his friends in the Velvet Room so now they're trapped forever, and Akira being able to manipulate the police and change their hearts in the 100s shows he's targetting whoever he wants now
@@alexanderleonardi3625 either or really, I say Akechi (pre royal) because he wanted to be seen as the hero whilst being an evil shit, Shido was more change behind the scenes. Maybe more inbetween.
P2 True End: MC sacrifices his and his friends' memories to prevent apocalypse, only to be the one that remembers P3 True End: MC becomes a door in order to prevent apocalypse P4 True End: MC goes back to his hometown and visits his friends during holidays P5 True End: MC and his friends sabotages a police car and runs away Persona's true endings are getting less and less dark and more fun.
Though the P5 MC and his friends will probably be under surveillance by the police for the rest of their lives so I'd say they don't get quite of happy as an ending as the P4 crew. But hey at least the P5 crew can laugh about it as they keep stealing spark plugs.
I'd say P5 MCs are getting the better ending. If it weren't for the P4A and P4DAN, the characters in Persona 4 are simply having a boring happily ever after ending, while Persona 5 MCs are just about to start another thrilling, fun adventure.
Oh yeah the P5 crew gets the better ending in terms that they clearly care about each other, want to hang out more, and will probably get into many shenanigans. P4 was ambiguous about that at best even with the True ending until P4G came out. P5's crew just gets the shit end of the deal probably being watched by the authorities for the rest of their lives, but I doubt they care lol
P1's True End's on both routes are highly positive though. P2 Eternal Punishment's True End has no one remember Innocent Sin (which is arguably good), all the Eternal Punishment party get good endings, and everyone from Innocent Sin meets at the shrine by coincidence (implying they may yet become friends once more). Innocent Sin and Persona 3 are really the exceptions to what are generally positive ends.
When I first saw Goro, I was like "I don't trust his ass". Sure enough. I did get a kick out of his All-Out animation when he was briefly in the party.
Yes, the crazy look in his eyes in the all-out animation actually made me like him a lot! It's sad that he died in the end as he was just a victim as well.
Lintella Considering the Shido situation that caused him to end up in Tokyo, it seems like he lives very close to Tokyo. And by close, I mean the suburbs of Tokyo. Akira can easily come back to visit
@@mg2030 yeah well it doesn't give much insight what really happened on that ending to be honest. It can be interpreted literally as Joker cutting a deal with fake Igor and his friends are nowhere to be found, or it's headcanon that they are freed and are somehow okay with this. Basically Altus is telling the player "yeah you kinda fucked up with the choice you made."
@@thepaintingbanjo8894 when I got this ending, I thought fake Igor will bring all phantom thieves back. He literally said that he will bring the world back to normal and phantom thieves will gain fame, so I thought that making a deal with Igor will help me to reunite with my friends
I always get so sad at the end of a persona game. You get so attached to all the characters they actually feel like family. It makes me so sad the games over😭 I wish the game never ended and I wish they stopped making the mc leave everyone. Let them stay
I thought they changed Igor's voice actor because his voice is very different from persona 3 and 4 which i've played in the past. The twist is really amazing

Despite this being so dark and so messed up... this is the realest persona game I've played (I've been into the series since persona 2). The true ending is the most adorable band of misfits, and the bad endings are exactly why this game is rated *M*.
also lots of swearing, bois fucking grown women, nightmare fuel de lux, and no kid's attention span would survive The Story (tm) thank the heavens this series has an age wall
Several Russian leaders killed themselves during Stalin's purches, frequently by shooting themselves in the back of the head. These things happen, especially when there are people around more powerful than the police.
They're probably basing it off of shooting distance. There would be burn marks on his forehead if it was point blank. And none there if it was another shooter. Also, no-one would think that their colleagues killed a prisoner that was being interrogated. I mean, everyone who has access to the room would only want information. To kill him would be pointless in the law enforcement's eyes. Think a little. As for the gun. Who's to say that the killer didn't plant the evidence? All they had to do was wear gloves while shooting, and plant the MC's fingerprints and leave it next to them. In that situation, where you only take a few glances at someone dead, you only have a few pieces of information to immediately form a theory. I mean what else would a cop do do, besides panic?
>_< Powder burns only occur at the muzzle of a firearm. Maybe in the olden days when you had to manually fill a gun with gun powder before you shot, but nowadays the only place you'll find gunpowder is at the muzzle. Cheesus chrust people. Not only that... SPOILERS... Goro, the coroner and the police officer on guard duty were all in on the murder, so of course they'd rule it as a suicide to avoid placing suspicion on Goro. Just because there's no evidence, doesn't mean they still can't rule it as a suicide. Bloody hell people. It's not rocket science!
Especially since he stole the part from a nearby undercover cop car, which makes it to where they can get away with almost no problems. That was hilarious!
dragonballzgt1989 you got to shot God himself with the sins of humanity, and took pride in it, accepting the 7 capital punishments as necessary for the world to exist... MAN, THAT OVERKILL AWESONE
Making a deal with the false god is even worse than you getting killed. I mean holy crap you never got your friends out of the velvet room (I didn't do the decision so I am just assuming) so in the real world they must be considered lost or dead. I want to call this ending the 'Asshole' ending
No, they get leave too. But in the end you accomplished fuck all and are basically Akechi 2.0, doing whatever you want with your powers. You become part of the social order you swore to change.
I don't think they get to leave. Since they lost the desire to fight back because they think they will lose anyway. They even lost the power the use the Persona as well, if you remember what Makoto said in the Velvet Room. It was Joker reawaken their Persona.
still better that entrusting things to incompetent and corrupt adults . i mean cmon , in the true ending , Sae had one job to do , prosecute shido's ass to oblivion , and she didn't even managed that on her own . And she's supposed to be competent at her job and in a country where prosecutors win 99% of the time. Really not encouraging for the future After doing the true ending the first time ans seeing how it goes ( sae being incompetent , getting your ass locked in prison for MONTHS after "saving" the world and losing your persona power ) i was dissapointed , feeling like i got back being a useless kid , dependant of the good will of those in power to survive In the normal ending at least you stay a thief with your friends still doing real changes ( criminality and suicides going down) and have the aid of a god of control
You were kind of wrong in that regard. There isn't a normal ending. The ending that Joker making a deal with the false God is literally turn Joker into Akechi 2.0. You realise Joker's smirk right? That's no normal smirk. And by accepting the offer from the false God, it means there are no Phantom Thieves no more, Joker himself. Because the other teammates got stuck in the Velvet Room. Because you never release them from the cell.
bobby31723 bro, by any country's standard giving an arrested suspect a full acquittal in two months is extremely fast (still disheartening, I know), the help she received from the confidants was for joker's fake charges of assault, not for the other crimes the prime minister did. if she had not received that help it only had meant she would take a couple months more since she would need to track down the woman and look for testimonies herself
no shit he was too shady in my opinion well to me adachi was my fav villen . he killed the the announcer by mistake and saki to shut her up I would too lol
Is it just me or does Goro kinda look like Kira from Death Note? I admit, at the start I kinda trusted him, but that he looked like Kira allways gave me an odd vibe. :P
+Lelouchxzero1 I kinda agree and disagree. Like yes, no one saw Adachi comming, this was really a surprise. On the other hand I would argue that p5 made up for that with the Igor Twist. (I knew something was odd about this deep voice, even for a voice actor replacement) Also I still like goro's Loki-form, he looked like some kind of evil harlequin or something. :)
well, it's normally a room desined to make the Wild-card user feel relaxed or something as he is there but this time it's not the case, as the fake igor may have changed it's shape to fit himself seeing the all powerful Wild-card wilder locked up unable to do anything, in a desperate and fallen state I am sure that's why it's acutally a prision and not a Cafe where Lavenza would serve him coffee each storyline scene he is there
*SPOILERS BELOW* Apparently, if you miss the Shido deadline, AFTER Akechi sacrifices himself, he'll still arrest you at LeBlanc. I'm surprised they overlooked it.
You know.... That could mean Aketchi is alive... And Aketchi would target Shido just as he planned to. I can imagine... "You've been too late since the day you decided to help me. I really enjoyed that moment but I'm still in power with the police force that I've worked with. They have no idea I'm going to use you for other plans." *Aketchi Locks the door and points the gun straight at Akira's forehead.* "I- I am sorry I can't be friends... My goal is to kill Shido and I've figured you wouldn't let it happen since you are truly a better person... You would've been my best friend..." *Aketchi rises into his second awakening.* *Loki* has changed to *Paramatman* Info: " Parama-" meaning Supreme or highest; "-atman" meaning individual or true self Paramatman meaning Highest individual. --Goodbye Sataneal & Akira--
This was my first persona game, and I didn't know anything about the other games, but right off the bat I thought Igor was evil, yet he still somehow managed to make me change my mind throughout the game, and then immediately change it again at the very end.
Gotta admire the skill with which Goro effortlessly attaches a suppressor to a pistol within like, quarter of a second, in the same motion of taking it from the policeman no less. I had to re-watch the scene because I was sure there was a plot hole there, thinking "Why would a police officer carry a suppressed pistol?".
FrostyAUTmaybe he was in on the plan As akechi said the police will be ours So he had already planned ahead After getting the gun he killed the poloceman
@@kurtdelarosa6151 either that or the cop may have been instructed to give or let Akechi take the gun, then they most likely hid the fact that he was gonna die
I immediately closed the game asoon as I saw the blood drip, i was like " I really like gore in video games but I can't stand the sight of joker getting hurt!" * seriously *
Usually, there are like three endings where you have a good ending and then one that's supposed to be the best, but not Persona 5. No, this one just has one good ending and ten terrible ones. Seriously, I got the true ending on my first try and now I don't want to find any of the other endings because of how depressing they are!
I knew something smelled fishy when i heard igor had a voice actor that didnt sound like the original at all i thought somethings fishy and it isnt the fish i just ate
When I learned there were multiple endings and a "true" ending, I was worried I'd not got the best one after completing it. Glad to see I ended up with the true ending after all, although I came pretty close to selling out my friends (after all, you're told multiple times to trust Niijima and be honest with her about everything that's happened, so I was like so close to telling her that too lol).
What? Am i weird to think, that selling out your friends is the shittiest move one can make. I don't give a damn about what happens to me as long as i can protect these precious children. I didn't even think about selling them out xD
@@Ultimabuster92 ngl, my dumbass almost sold them out the first time I played since I thought joker would die if I didn't. Luckily, I changed my mind when it said "is this the right decision?" Because I'd never sell them otherwise. I love all the characters and it would suck if they had been arrested instead
Just finished the game about an hour ago with the true ending. I wanted to see how all the other endings play out. I'm glad I waited 5 years for this game. and now I'm happy that I played it. it feels like I've completed something in my life. I'll never forget this game and I'll always cherish it in my heart such as I did with Persona 4 Golden. For me, this is game of the year.
I feel as though there should be a Persona 5-2, now don't get me wrong,I know Atlus has done an amazing job with this game. But the ending is just.....the way he looks at us....it's like he's saying "See you guys next time"
Is it wrong that I cried at the ending because I was so sad it was over? BECAUSE I'M STILL SOBBING MY HEART OUT!!! JOKER, COME STEAL IT ALREADY!!! WAAAAAHHHH!!
Ember Wright still not as bad as crying during the first case ( Kamoshida ) man that still fucked up....and gotta run again to hear about her in Ann's confidant....that girl is strong, Ann truly has the greatest friend she can ask for :,c
Say what you want about bittersweet endings,at least Joker and Yu got to live. In case you forgot, a certain blue haired protagonist had to fight Death itself and became a statue, forced to endure for eternity to keep the LITERAL FUCKING APOCALYPSE sealed away....
But hen you realise joker had to endure drugs + violence and try to even remember memories in that prison...and then fight a god and its 4 angels after...and before said god and angels was Shido..and if he even makes one choice wrong, the world Would've ended?!
Gotta love how Akechi stares at you menacingly. Man, what a b*tch. I hate, yet love him for some reason, but in the end he's just a sad, murderous manchild with daddy issues. I cri evrytiem
I'm not. The choices in this game were way too easy. I liked the fact that getting the True Ending in P4 took some actual brain-work your first time around. I wanna feel smart, dammit! D:
Yeah, especially for a game as long and permanent as this one, I would be pissed off if I didn't get the true ending on my first try (cause I did make an effort, it just wasn't convoluted).
thats the thing - this video is shit the "true ending" is just the normal ending, to get the other endings you just have to not finish the dungeons within the time limit
So did I! I spent the entire game saying where his notebook is and that people shouldn't piss him off. I do it in front of my sister and she doesn't understand. It's hilarious.
How to get the best ending ever which is the 3rd one is 1. Complete all palaces by there stated deadlines 2. Refuse to sell out your companions to nijjimi 3. Refuse to got a deal with igor There pretty simple
Yeah I didn't even know there were multiple endings. I beat it last night and got the true ending. I didn't even know selling out your friends and making that deal were real options. thought they would just redirect to making the right choice.
Just finished the game today and man what a bitter sweet ending. So what's the moral of the story here? Don't be a hero and save the world or the police/government will hunt you down for making them look bad? All kidding aside this was an excellent game, very refreshing to see a game these days that doesn't disappoint after the long waiting period.
silversoul The moral of P5 is that you have to muster up the courage and face against your oppressors that would abuse you, exploit you, put unrealistic expectations on you, ect. The phantom thieves failed in their supposed goal of reforming society because they realized that people don't give a shit and only rode the wave of their popularity as a form of entertainment and was even called a "game" by the person who was supposed to help you. Humanity lost the game to see whether or not they can reform but the phantom thieves were able to save their future and consequently everyone elses by rebelling against the deity that would grant humanity's desire for a safe but freedom-less life. To be a phantom thief means that you can stand up against the corrupt adults of society that would ruin your life, not be the person who changes the whole world. In order to be like the phantom thieves and change YOUR life YOU need to WAKE UP, GET UP, AND GET OUT THERE.
I hope we get some form of after story. One that incorporates who we forged relationships with in the main game - even if they were just 20 minutes of "this is what your character is doing as an adult with their partner"
Spencer Rosario-McCabe i think they'll do that kind of thing in updated Persona 5 like how Persona 4 got Golden and Persona 3 got FES. also they need to make Akechi back to the group rather leaving his fate unknown.
Darth Revanitos Except that its left ambigious and not shown directly. If the updated ver of P5 does happen I bet it would be like in FES where Junpei can save Chidori from death and make it canon. And how Shinjiro survivies in P3P (tho its not canon). Considering Akechi was pretty popular.
I know it's possible, don't get me wrong ...I just hope they won't do it because I'm really getting sick of th fake deaths in videogame, especially when the reasoning behind it is "fanservice" plus, let's be honest:Akechi was a douche and got what he deserved.
Yeah, the hero actually dies because he fails to get Sae to show Goro the phone, he's never pulled into the metaverse, and it's the real hero, not a cognition, that ends up getting shot.
Luis Ortiz generally you have a set amount of in game days to complete a dungeon. personally I have never had a problem completing a dungeon by a deadline as they give you plenty of time and I tend to tackle those asap. before anything else.
I'm actually really interested. Yusuke states "After we said we would disband." & after haru ask help for her friend "This better not bne any more work." I'm gonna assume yuskue didn't mind being a persona user but he was also content with ending his persona user life after and not using his powers any longer. Which makes him way more interesting than most persona uers on the level of baofu, ayase and yukari three persona users who wanted to live a normal life and wanted nothing to do with their powers afterwards. Like the shadow ops and investigation team still use theirs because they want to help people with them, yusuke and the others I mentioned would rather leave it to other persona users, as long as their friends aren't in danger. Interesting.
that's not a good ending. it's Yaldaboath making the world how AKIRA wants it to be. The Phantom Thieves are popular again but at the cost of everyone's free will and Akira was changing the hearts of up to 100 police officers, showing that he's targeting whoever he wants now with no guilt or remorse, making him basically turn into Akechi
@@littenfire3563 You're right, it's not a "good ending".... It's the "Best Ending!" How else would you describe not having to share the power or glory with 7 other people?
i dont remember persona 3 being the law theme because of persona named messiah. but if you said the theme is law, yes youre right, but the truth is, persona 3 aren't into law but death.
The bad end seemed normal and nothing happening. However, since the protagonist contract with the Grail, people already abandon the ability of thinking and blindly trust on phantom thieves.
Can I just say something here? It feels as though the True ending is... Not entirely true. I feel like Atlus is gonna do something more in the likely remake. My evidence of my suspicions: Something Ryuji said after the credits and the reason why Shadows suddenly "Remember" that they came from the sea of the unconscious. Sure, the Final Boss or maybe the Palace Rulers somehow corrupted the Personas but... To me, it feels like there is something more, WAY more. As for the thing Ryuji said... "All this just ain't feeling real to me just yet"... It's just... That. I swear that's hinting something. Call it paranoia but... It just feels like there will be more!
Honestly a lot of the convos of the good ending were giving me weird vibes... Especially that part with Sae wondering if the MC actually planned it all. (When she was asking about why the Phantom Thieves didn't just call it quits after Kamoshida) And one of the MC's responses was something like "It's all just a game." Half-way through the game I was thinking how crazy it would be if the MC had a palace, and that he was seeing the entire world as just one big game (But he still cherishes his friends because they are the most interesting chracters). Or that the game I've been playing was just the MC's Palace and that everyone else was just a cognition. (That may have evolved into sentience)
I have to say that the true ending is the best one compared to persona 3 and 4. Sure they are nice and all, but you always have that moment where you think. "Why don't you just stay." and I keep wanting the protag just to stay and hang out with his friends forever because well mystery parents and all. You get attached to Sojiro and Futaba. So the true ending where he seems not to go home yet is amazing as he the main character has, "The right to think for himself" and not let others tell him what to do. Plus it's assumed even if he does leave his friends have ways of getting to him. Unlike persona 4 where they wait a full fucking year to see him....
So how did they come to the conclusion that you killed yourself in confinement when there was no visible gun nearby? Mind you maybe my brightness isn't turned up all the way, but if a gun really wasn't there, I'd like to know how this suicide happened and then how he disposed of his own murder weapon at the same time...
Because, whether it'd be masked or not, Goro kills you and the guards believe you have taken out the guard due to your "methods" and stole the gun to end it all.
But where is the gun at the end where you supposed shoot yourself? Or did Gori not slip the gun on the protagonist until after the fade to black (which doesn't make sense at all considering that you have a guy say "he killed himself!" at a time when you don't see the gun.) With how that looks, our protagonist shot himself with an invisible gun...
So an error I the animation then. Mind you we know that's what happens, but to not actually show the gun just makes the police off as incompetent if they say, "he killed him self" without a gun nearby.
Mainly because we already gave all our fucks for the cat about him turning into a bus and telling us to go to sleep every goddamn night. Oh, and his pseudo death, that left us with zero fucks to give about seeing him fixing a car.
13:40 Okay, real talk. Persona 5 Crimson/Grand Heist/Picaro/whatever it's called had better have some sort of fight against Law-Dark Joker, this scene is menacing as fuck.
Maybe make the true ending and good ending in different timelines. The Joker from the true ending ended up visiting the Dark Joker. That would be lit as fuck.
So here's my theory. You know how they change the hearts of those evil dudes? It's like stealing something fancy, but in reality;it's just changing his/her emotions and mentalness. Then, one of them was like "Hey,how about we steal something that's REALLY GOLD." And then they started stealing antiques, wealth, money and etc. But in their case, they think that it's still changing someone's heart. If you have seen the intro of Persona 5,they start with the player in a casino, being chased by guards. And fair enough, will a group of teens who want to give the world a change be in a casino being chased by guards? And if you may have noticed, they wear masks when their personas are about to break out of them. And Akira (the player) has an innocent look and voice, but by the time his persona is breaking out,he had a look that describes vengeance. Which means that before their personas break out, they're innocent, they're youngsters and have more time to life. But after they take out the masks, they get more venganous (if that's even a word),and like what I said, they change their enemies' hearts, but by the time you see the intro (in the casino),it seems that no-one in their group is like "Isn't this dangerous?".It's like they want to have change, but they can't make a change of themselves. BUT HEY,THAT'S JUST A THEORY;A GAME THEORY AAAAAAND CUT
Either dying, getting in prison for life or getting arrested by that bastard akechi OR EITHER trying to do justice in a corrupted world you accepted just for fame? #Ryuji. Wow, those endings are dark
Despite what everyone's saying I love the ending where he makes a deal with the false God. I like when characters turn to the dark side like that and this is no different lol.
would be nice if it was a bit longer like Joker vs his teamates in this fight he takes 3-4 at the time, the teamates personas turns to how they were before confidant rank 10 as the bond has broken
Given that, unlike your party members, Joker never makes any big pledges about reforming society or any other ideological statements, it feels entirely reasonable to not even call this "turning to the dark side, " as much as it may be: "the enemy of my enemies is my ally, but not my necessarily friend."
@@peynnep6483 I would make him face all previous persona users including Velvet room inhabitants. But I dont know is it canonically possible. I think all persona user groups all have one common trait that helps them fight against the current distortion. P5 heroes have spirit of rebellion, P4 are truth seekers, and P3 have truly accepted their mortality I think. (I havent played P3). Because of this, the other persona user groups, cannot enter palaces or public subconscious outside their games. Distortion gives subconscious substance, and because of that ways to enter to these worlds are always different. Could they try to resist against different distortions is also unlikely, but if the could that would make great PQ game. (Too bad I cant play those either).
25:02 When you're on a road trip with your friends after having saved your nation from a god born from the distorted, corrupted desire of absolute societal order of the masses but you had to sign a pact with the devil for killing said god and you're going to hell for it even if you have saved your people and you try to keep your calm.
I actually liked Akechi better personally, just because his motivations felt more personal than "because I felt like it" (which was a really good plot point in P4, but didn't really make you connect to him)
Did you forget what he DID to the protagonist and how everyone basically forgot about it and the fact that everyone was willingly to forgive him DESPITE what he did to him. Akechi on the other hand was basically a Adachi lite, a problem child with mental + daddy issues, his reveal was so obvious it wasn't even funny.
NukaColaCompany I feel for Haru, she in her right to not forgive even if he redemed itself ( it would be a wound that never heals if he survived and got to see the world in their way )
God, i always get emotional and cry when the credits roll for the true endin. Just finished this masterpiece of a game today. Persona 5 has truly stolen my heart!
Persona 3 is best played in the PSP. (the female MC option is a nice refreshing experience as well, albeit a little awkward at times when you're a dude) Although it would be in Visual Novel form instead.
I'm currently doing the same, for the express purpose of getting the special scene.. First game was a dry run, no dating. This time, dating all but Futaba. To ME she's like a kid sister, and also she's not really good with people as it is.. I'd feel extra guilty cheating on her! 😭
***** P4: High schoolers capture a serial killer in a Japanese town P5: Preteens want to be gansters and have to fight a guy with a personality disorder, at the end the MC pulls a deus ex machina. Yep, Persona is a Jojo copy confirmed
skrublordFey I got the bad ending in the first palace, got already spoiled about the traitor, so when I first met him was like: their voices are the same... wouldn't have taken the spoiler and I would have STILL recognized him.
Half a year ago I started my new job at a little bar. Around the same time I started playing this game. It took me 6 months to finish it. 131 hours. And now it's over... I'm happy and sad at the same time, this game means really much to me. Working at this new job is so much fun and I made a bunch of friends, that I hang out with all the time now. Holy shit, until now I didn't even realize how much I had in common with Joker all this time ;D We even have a super complicated barista machine there, that my boss had to teach me about. I'm gonna miss playing this game in the evening... Well i can honestly say that playing Persona 5 made me a happier person. I thank the developers from the bottom of my heart for this experience.

Persona's true endings are getting less and less dark and more fun.
홍세정 i thing thats good. i like it when they have a happy ending.

Those guards really suck in their job. I mean, he gets shot at forehead and they think he killed himself
Several Russian leaders killed themselves during Stalin's purches, frequently by shooting themselves in the back of the head. These things happen, especially when there are people around more powerful than the police.
No gun nearby, and they still think he shot himself?
Well you haven't played the game so you don't know how it really goes

Really not encouraging for the future
After doing the true ending the first time ans seeing how it goes ( sae being incompetent , getting your ass locked in prison for MONTHS after "saving" the world and losing your persona power ) i was dissapointed , feeling like i got back being a useless kid , dependant of the good will of those in power to survive
In the normal ending at least you stay a thief with your friends still doing real changes ( criminality and suicides going down) and have the aid of a god of control

"Yeah." -MC 2017
Just finished the game today and man what a bitter sweet ending.
So what's the moral of the story here? Don't be a hero and save the world or the police/government will hunt you down for making them look bad?
All kidding aside this was an excellent game, very refreshing to see a game these days that doesn't disappoint after the long waiting period.
silversoul does it really need a moral? It was just an epic story of rebellion against "just" acts
Closo Tezuka most of them do come with morals
The morals are basically, stick to your guns and row row fight tha powa
The moral is that shitty adults ruins everything
silversoul The moral of P5 is that you have to muster up the courage and face against your oppressors that would abuse you, exploit you, put unrealistic expectations on you, ect.
There is no "Good" ending. There is only the True, Bad and "EVIL" ending.
The true is the Happy Ending
What isn't good about he true ending jokey can visit back no one dies
@@zephyrgaming865 the "good" ending is when he allies with yaldaboth.
@@henrioak Yeah teaming with a false god who almost destroyed the world is a good ending yea
I hope we get some form of after story. One that incorporates who we forged relationships with in the main game - even if they were just 20 minutes of "this is what your character is doing as an adult with their partner"
Spencer Rosario-McCabe sort of like what fire emblem does
Spencer Rosario-McCabe
i think they'll do that kind of thing in updated Persona 5 like how Persona 4 got Golden and Persona 3 got FES.
also they need to make Akechi back to the group rather leaving his fate unknown.
Tatsuo Shinada Meh, seeing the situation we left Akechi in, I'm pretty sure he died painfully and I'm glad he did
Darth Revanitos
Except that its left ambigious and not shown directly.
If the updated ver of P5 does happen I bet it would be like in FES where Junpei can save Chidori from death and make it canon. And how Shinjiro survivies in P3P (tho its not canon). Considering Akechi was pretty popular.
I know it's possible, don't get me wrong ...I just hope they won't do it because I'm really getting sick of th fake deaths in videogame, especially when the reasoning behind it is "fanservice" plus, let's be honest:Akechi was a douche and got what he deserved.
so in 2 endings we actually die .. wow
Yeah, the hero actually dies because he fails to get Sae to show Goro the phone, he's never pulled into the metaverse, and it's the real hero, not a cognition, that ends up getting shot.
oh ok
Akira dies in every ending but the good ending and the one where he accepts false' gods offer..
False gods' offer IS a good ending. The one when you decline is true ending.
Brutal, isn't it?
Wow the bad ending is brutal.
omg those bad endings......
Mrs Gamer what does it mean by deadlines?
for example you have to deal madarame before 6/5 so this day is a deadline
Luis Ortiz generally you have a set amount of in game days to complete a dungeon. personally I have never had a problem completing a dungeon by a deadline as they give you plenty of time and I tend to tackle those asap. before anything else.
Mrs Gamer ikr

Interesting.
mark Ervine how would they leave it to other persona users if the metaverse is gone?
mark Ervine no it makes him a jerk
yusuke is seriously the most underwhelming character...
So in the good ending are the other phantom thieves dead? Joker never got them out of the cells in the velvet room.
Yep. Joker basically becomes Akechi, if not worse than him
that's not a good ending. it's Yaldaboath making the world how AKIRA wants it to be.
And sojiro seemed to have forgotten that the MC is a phantom thief too
lmao when agreeing with the demiurge, seems like akira taking the law route in a bad way
Commentator-kun vs Za Warudo well, the way I see it, Persona 5 sorts of sets a bridge between main SMT and Persona.
Commentator-kun vs Za Warudo Persona 6 needs to be about upholding the law, to contrast the Chaos Route that P5 basically is in an SMT standpoint
Persona 3 protagonist is arguably the most Law-like because of the Messiah persona.
i dont remember persona 3 being the law theme because of persona named messiah. but if you said the theme is law, yes youre right, but the truth is, persona 3 aren't into law but death.
Commentator-kun vs Za Warudo
I guess in terms of being self-sacrificing, Persona 3 is more LAW.
The bad end seemed normal and nothing happening. However, since the protagonist contract with the Grail, people already abandon the ability of thinking and blindly trust on phantom thieves.
Akechi:Case Closed.
Akira: Hey I was going to wa-*gets shot*
Damn it Goro.
best boi
That Guy with the Glasses That wannabe light Yagami bitch
Goro be like, "Oh hi there, opening"
Best villain
Angel almanza Kefka is best
Spiritlaw maybe we'll see more in a spin-off
Spiritlaw Fanfiction...Go nuts!
SpriteStar97 that and a Vita port if possible :,D ( Persona games are the best in portable form
Honestly a lot of the convos of the good ending were giving me weird vibes... Especially that part with Sae wondering if the MC actually planned it all. (When she was asking about why the Phantom Thieves didn't just call it quits after Kamoshida) And one of the MC's responses was something like "It's all just a game."
Half-way through the game I was thinking how crazy it would be if the MC had a palace, and that he was seeing the entire world as just one big game (But he still cherishes his friends because they are the most interesting chracters).
Or that the game I've been playing was just the MC's Palace and that everyone else was just a cognition. (That may have evolved into sentience)
Plz no, At least make any editions available to ps4 too!
True ending + married to the chosen woman. I want that ending
Doctor = best girl.
@@athenasowls9553 that's a weird way to spell mako
@@kotorandcorvid4968 Did you mean Takemi?
@@athenasowls9553 no. I mean makoto.
@@kotorandcorvid4968 Makoto? I think that's the wrong name. The doctor's name is Takemi. It's almost scary how good she is.
I was so scared I failed the true ending because it plays the third bad ending before..
Futaba is the best girl!!!
No Ann.
No, Ryuji
No Ann
No Yusuke
I have to say that the true ending is the best one compared to persona 3 and 4. Sure they are nice and all, but you always have that moment where you think. "Why don't you just stay." and I keep wanting the protag just to stay and hang out with his friends forever because well mystery parents and all. You get attached to Sojiro and Futaba. So the true ending where he seems not to go home yet is amazing as he the main character has, "The right to think for himself" and not let others tell him what to do. Plus it's assumed even if he does leave his friends have ways of getting to him. Unlike persona 4 where they wait a full fucking year to see him....
itselguapo Someone's lying about having played Persona 3.
itselguapo lol p3 he dead
and in Persona 5 Scramble, you see that Akira did come back to see his friends again
Litten Fire in royal you don’t?
They’re’s no way Im not having nightmares bout the selling out your friends ending anytime soon
The conclusion is that you killed the guard and then suicide with the gun of the guard. That's how.
But where is the gun at the end where you supposed shoot yourself? Or did Gori not slip the gun on the protagonist until after the fade to black (which doesn't make sense at all considering that you have a guy say "he killed himself!" at a time when you don't see the gun.)
With how that looks, our protagonist shot himself with an invisible gun...
He puts it in jokers hand but tje bad ending scene doesn't seem to show everything for some reason
So an error I the animation then. Mind you we know that's what happens, but to not actually show the gun just makes the police off as incompetent if they say, "he killed him self" without a gun nearby.
protagonist dies.
ad for bipolar depression comes on
I want a persona 5 part 2 just so that I can see these 8 together again. Akira is so gamn cool yo
you will. Persona 5 Scramble is the official sequel to Persona 5
Yo you got it by now, also there's Persona Q2 but that's old now
I am kind of curious here. But why the heck is it that no one is giving a fuck about seeing a cat fixing a car?
Mainly because we already gave all our fucks for the cat about him turning into a bus and telling us to go to sleep every goddamn night. Oh, and his pseudo death, that left us with zero fucks to give about seeing him fixing a car.
Flawlessice p5 where you need to die to live....hardcore, even more than God Minatu, rest in piece
Well the cat can't fucking drive with a broken car, now can it? What did you expect? He's just trying to lead a normal life.
CrazyColin97 im more confused. To how hes even using the screwdriver with his tail
Just go with it. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
13:40 Okay, real talk. Persona 5 Crimson/Grand Heist/Picaro/whatever it's called had better have some sort of fight against Law-Dark Joker, this scene is menacing as fuck.
Yea...that creepy smile...you can totally feel akira's gone off track!
Not Ben Stiller I was both horrified and aroused. "Hor-roused" you might say.
I mean what?
I'd rather just have a female MC to play as. Akechicakes ain't gonna date himself, y'know?
+figureLP09 Sir, have you been watching your smoke intake?
BUT HEY,THAT'S JUST A THEORY;A GAME THEORY
AAAAAAND CUT
Either dying, getting in prison for life or getting arrested by that bastard akechi OR EITHER trying to do justice in a corrupted world you accepted just for fame? #Ryuji. Wow, those endings are dark
Or exploding into space : D
Can't wait for all the persona 5 fighting and dancing games
Despite what everyone's saying I love the ending where he makes a deal with the false God. I like when characters turn to the dark side like that and this is no different lol.
would be nice if it was a bit longer
like Joker vs his teamates
in this fight he takes 3-4 at the time, the teamates personas turns to how they were before confidant rank 10 as the bond has broken
@@peynnep6483 dude...YES
I do too
Given that, unlike your party members, Joker never makes any big pledges about reforming society or any other ideological statements, it feels entirely reasonable to not even call this "turning to the dark side, " as much as it may be: "the enemy of my enemies is my ally, but not my necessarily friend."
Distortion
gives subconscious substance, and because of that ways to enter to these worlds are always different. Could they try to resist
against different distortions is also unlikely, but if the could that would make great PQ game.
Akechi wishes he could be Adachi.
"everyone was willingly to forgive him"
Haru specifically says she will never forgive him. Being sympathetic to someone doesn't mean forgiveness.
NukaColaCompany I feel for Haru, she in her right to not forgive even if he redemed itself ( it would be a wound that never heals if he survived and got to see the world in their way )
NukaColaCompany and Ryuji voiced he didn’t forgive him either. Totally agreed.
God, i always get emotional and cry when the credits roll for the true endin. Just finished this masterpiece of a game today. Persona 5 has truly stolen my heart!
True Ending on my first playthrough..
I'm happy, the ending was just beautiful.. this is my first persona game as well.
Now.. time to play the others.
Persona 3 is best played in the PSP. (the female MC option is a nice refreshing experience as well, albeit a little awkward at times when you're a dude) Although it would be in Visual Novel form instead.
I don't understand why they keep calling Broyji Sakabroto "Ryuji Sakamoto" that name makes no sense.
True bro tier, like even more-so than Junpei.
Junpei is a anti-bro in my opinion. But yeah, Broyji Sakabroto is reaching Brosuke Bronamura levels of bro-tier bropreciation.
Shaunoez Kewl Not quite as much as Brojiro Brokura though.
I love and hate this comment chain at the same time.
This is the best comment chain
Nah Bros

When Akira/Ren looks directly at the screen, breaking the fourth wall.. My heart stopped-
After finishing the game, I'm like "Well, time to go for the pimp route!"
I have many regrets. q.q IM SORRY FUTABA
I'm currently doing the same, for the express purpose of getting the special scene.. First game was a dry run, no dating. This time, dating all but Futaba. To ME she's like a kid sister, and also she's not really good with people as it is.. I'd feel extra guilty cheating on her! 😭

I was crying when joker died in the first bad ending. 😭
I was only sad

Next villain: Antonio Mariachi
Sema Reyes OH MY 😂😂😂😂

P4: High schoolers capture a serial killer in a Japanese town
P5: Preteens want to be gansters and have to fight a guy with a personality disorder, at the end the MC pulls a deus ex machina.
Yep, Persona is a Jojo copy confirmed
Wow, could they make the culprit any more obvious in the miss a deadline ending? If I've gotten that one, I would've had the surprise ruined for sure.
skrublordFey I got the bad ending in the first palace, got already spoiled about the traitor, so when I first met him was like: their voices are the same... wouldn't have taken the spoiler and I would have STILL recognized him.
