K, really important thing you missed: What to skill lvl 2 is more deep than that. You can't always take E level two. Against ranged matchups (or if you get the push early game) W is infinitely better than E, considering you'll NEVER get an E off on a ranged champion without W anyway, and W can easily save your life if you're pushed up and get cheese ganked.
I've almost never taken w level 2. Vs. mages, more than likely will get wave shoved under turrent so e is better as a farming tool. Vs. fighters(yasuo, irelia, etc.) e is good for when they jump on you. pre level 4 zed shouldn't be playing aggressively. If you play e level 2, you will be setting yourself up better for when you have all 3 skills.
@@prasharanasinghe3344 Zed should be playing aggressively from level 1, upping it at level 3. shuriken on such a short cooldown is too good and does too much damage not to use. Health is a resource and against most champions you won't be shoved under tower, meaning it is worth it to take a small amount of poke (which you can always rebute) for the push and the CS. If you can hit a double shuriken on a champion at level two as well, you're basically set for the rest of the lane should you not misplay. Again, you're never getting E on someone who's ranged without W anyway, and you're RARELY going to need E for killing minions anyway. Zed has a super easy time clearing waves under tower just with passive. As much as E is good for PUSHING the wave, considering you should already be aggressive at level two, W is fine. W offers complete safety from early ganks as well as potential for double Q-ing. ZED99 does it himself. He does take E 2nd most of the time, but the odd game where he feels that W offers more, he doesn't shy away from it.
@@isak2209 Dude the one example you gave follows my philosophy. He takes e second unless he really sees w as an option. Zed shouldn't be playing aggro from the start. Zed is a combo based assasin. Any mage will outrage and out poke Zed in early levels. Have fun trying to play aggressive level 2 vs a wind shitter. The reason in most situations zed takes 3 potions is to make up for zed's weak early game. This is balancing, and what gives other champions flexibility in terms of killing zed. If zed was strong from level one we definitely would have seen nerfs already.

Nice video. Let me just remind you that, if you hit enemy with your E your culdown on W will decrease for (idk smoe) sec., and if you hit more than 2 enemys with your E you will almost instantly get your W back :)

Neat combos, I thought I knew it all. He's a hard champ to master, but that just makes him more fun. I like champs that are more technical and require more skill. It just feels more rewarding when you win.
You should definitely try riven with auto resets then she’s extremely enjoyable, lee sin probably has the hardest combos in the game but as someone who played him for a long time trust me you won’t be needing them 99% of the time, meanwhile riven’s combos are actually extremely important for her gameplay
My biggest problem with trying to get good with him is that he gets banned at least 50% of the time and im never able to rack up the experience i need to be good with him
The situation at 6:00 although clutch and the correct idea in the moment... I feel it should be ideally avoided...no vision side lane farming should just be with auto's, q, and e...throwing out a w,e,q to farm minions without vision on enemy obviously robs you of your champs only escape and you get 5 man collapsed...I wouldn't mind w,e,q ing the wave as much if baron is spawning soon or we have vision on enemy in order to create bot pressure....a better wave to w,e,q the wave while also staying safe in that situation would be to w1 behind yourself near base and e,q,w2 back to safety
Every mid matchup is decent for zed unless someone goes out of their way to counter pick a bruiser against you. Of the actual mid laners sylas ,ekko, kata and fizz are the most difficult but are all winnable. They are difficult because they can easily dodge your skill shots during a all in while there's are very hard to avoid. To win the lane freeze next to ur turret and just poke from a distance while safely csing.

I feel like certain assassin matchups are favored for zed until he messes up. And the second you do that, it’s lost. Kata isn’t too bad. Mostly just have to play safe for the first few levels and deny farm when her q is down and you still have shadow. I watch a lot of zed99 too and really like going conqueror into harder matchups
As a Zed main, you should've definitely talked about Zhonias and how to play against it, it's your main counter and every champ uses it differently, and it's very cheap too

I'm kinda surprised that you didn't recommend Laceration's crit build, it's braindead enough to kill an adc with one auto attack and it also has a higher damage output on a combo and better late game than normal lethality build
Zed actually has his first power spike at lvl 3 when he can start to pressure the enemy laner and roam to help with team. Electrocute is majority optimal rune for Zed (can go DH if you know you can optimize stacks) and no reason to bring Conq since Zed isn't going to be skirmishing with bruiser/tanks. Sudden impact is more optimal on Zed since he uses blinks to help him one shot enemies especially with R. No need for Ultimate hunter since most games you will go Duskblade to give you enough cdr so instead you would go Ravenous hunter for omnivamp since when you go in for combos it will help you stay healthy from damage. Secondary the optimal rune tree is Precision for Triumph to keep you healthy after takedowns to go back in and Coup De Grace to increase your damage on R with low cdr to get R back up very often. Only reason to go Sorcery second is if enemy team is majority AP for Nullifying Orb to deny AP damage and Transcendence for more cdr. Optimal build is Duskblade (majority squish enemy team) for maximum cdr so you can one shot someone then reset to combo another but if enemy team is has bruiser/tanks then you would go Eclipse for armor pen then build accordingly to their team for maximum damage.

I know what you mean by asking, ¨is it that bad?¨, As a Zed One trick, I dont usually build hydra, I ALWAYS build hydra after mythic. And very often people will question me why I build hydra, often when I get beef with other players or other zed mains, the first thing they always do is ping my hydra. In this comment I will explain why Hydra is utterly perfect on zed, first off, 65 AD is the best any ad ithem gives (except IE, but zed cant build it) It may not give lethality or armor pen, but tbh depending on most matchups, zed doesnt need that much early. it gives 20 AH wich is very good early, it gives 10% omnivamp (perfect since zed doesnt have sustain) And since the rework now hydra cleaves on abilities aswell. All explained, an utterly perfect ithem for an ad caster like zed. another con is that building hydra is very easy and comfortable, when vs poke lane just start scepter, if not then hammer. both ithem can be build into other zed ithems aswell incase u need to change. Short explained: a perfect ithem on Zed, like i said, zed OTP 1.4+ million master plat 2. ive played zed enough to atleast understand the champ, Hydra is a perfect ithem on zed, Ofc i wont spend my time explaining to silvers and non zed players why hydra is perfect on zed, But when they ask my why i get hydra on zed the simplest thing i just do is: ask them wich option would be better than hydra, (answer to it) none :) except if ur playing full squishy team and ur playing vs a veigar on midlane. only then maybe another ithem might be better. but in 90% of the cases, hydra after mythic (and boots) is the perfect choice.
And btw, if you already play Hydra on zed, let me recom u a build on zed thats really strong and works in almost all situations. (similair 2 laceration) RUNES: Qonqueror - Triumph - (Optional) - Last stand, SECOND RUNE: (optional) but i preffer taking as much damage as possible because i will build tanky through the game, but you need that early damage. and last 2x addaptive force 1x optional. now thats for the runes. Before i give u the build i will first explain the playstyle as its importand to understand the build and ur runes. This build on zed is complete bruiser, focusing on CDR, sustain, And moderate damage aswell as tankiness. Zed doesn have any sustain himself so heĺ need to get it from ithems, eventually get 120+ AH wich will be around 55-60% CDR so u can spam ur shit like in urf (Note: zed W passive gives u Energy back when hitting multiple ability on same target) wich needs a little skill tho. together with that sustain from conqueror and ithems you will get tons of heals while keep spamming those abilityś . another con zed has with this build that other ad caster dont have is that zed doesnt need to actually build that tanky to become hard to kill, 1/2 half tank ithems is easily enough because zed is so mobile he can dodge most of the damage. This build isnt that strong early but you will scale pretty quickly already after ur first ithem and it only goes better from there. BUILD: 1 Goredrinker - 2+3 Hydra/boots(optional) - 4 Spirit/randium( if vs 2/+ AP go spirit to get those insane sustain. if vs 3+ ad go randium, con for randium is that u allways perfectly hit that active after R) - 5 Steraks - 6 Optional( if vs much mobility get seryldra, if vs slower oponents get black cleaver. Btw note that goredrinker insta gives u a bonus hit to activate conqueror making is already really good even early(it can also be used simutaniusly with E + auto). Hydra is actually ur core ithem giving u some of everything u need. Boots (no need to explain) Spirit/randium here comes ur only real tank ithem to make u very hard to kill + both ithems gives u and extra like bonus sustain for spirit + AH, Steraks truly makes zed unkillable, with these 2 tank ithems, zed can never be assasinated unless chain ccd in team fights. meaning he will allways be able to escape or continue his combo. now the last ithem is just to complete zed for late game. extra damage focused on armor pen + 20 AH to give him even more spammability. You should try this build if ur skilled with zed, garanteed 100% most damage everygame. another importand note btw, is that depended on situation, I take teleport on zed now, factors for why: With this build, i dont rely on early kills as now im the scaler. if i step into midgame with 0 kills but more enough cs, then its already midlane won. If i take tp on zed then i dont need much off combat mobility giving me more freedom to build other stats. If i take teleport then it often gives my toplaner the freedom to take ignite helping him to win his lane ( ofc its situational). And you can double roam sometimes ( example, shove mid wave, roam top then insta tp bot). and thats basically how i always be usefull with zed.
1) Dodge shurikens (focus on dodging Zed's shuriken, not his shadow one) 2) Punish him hard if he waste his W to farm or miss and especially if he used W (shadow)+Q on the wave. His W cooldown is HUGE eary game. You can also bait the shadow to help having nice windows to punish him. 3) Don't be scared of trading back even if he chunked you a bit, he has everything on CD for a few seconds, so use them).

My WEQ combo doesnt work: I use my W and while the shadow is travelling I use my E. But when i do it my shadow doesnt do the E. I do the combo but only I do the E, not the shadow

The best Ryze guide is to just pick a better champion. Champ is dead and requires very specific conditions in order to succeed.
I’m a zed main and hydra is a must-buy for me every game. I know it’s probably not optimal, but I really like the aoe damage and healing. Is that bad?
I know what you mean by asking, ¨is it that bad?¨, As a Zed One trick, I dont usually build hydra, I ALWAYS build hydra after mythic. And very often people will question me why I build hydra, often when I get beef with other players or other zed mains, the first thing they always do is ping my hydra. In this comment I will explain why Hydra is utterly perfect on zed, first off, 65 AD is the best any ad ithem gives (except IE, but zed cant build it) It may not give lethality or armor pen, but tbh depending on most matchups, zed doesnt need that much early. it gives 20 AH wich is very good early, it gives 10% omnivamp (perfect since zed doesnt have sustain) And since the rework now hydra cleaves on abilities aswell. All explained, an utterly perfect ithem for an ad caster like zed. another con is that building hydra is very easy and comfortable, when vs poke lane just start scepter, if not then hammer. both ithem can be build into other zed ithems aswell incase u need to change. Short explained: a perfect ithem on Zed, like i said, zed OTP 1.4+ million master plat 2. ive played zed enough to atleast understand the champ, Hydra is a perfect ithem on zed, Ofc i wont spend my time explaining to silvers and non zed players why hydra is perfect on zed, But when they ask my why i get hydra on zed the simplest thing i just do is: ask them wich option would be better than hydra, (answer to it) none :) except if ur playing full squishy team and ur playing vs a veigar on midlane. only then maybe another ithem might be better. but in 90% of the cases, hydra after mythic (and boots) is the perfect choice.
And btw, if you already play Hydra on zed, let me recom u a build on zed thats really strong and works in almost all situations. (similair 2 laceration) RUNES: Qonqueror - Triumph - (Optional) - Last stand, SECOND RUNE: (optional) but i preffer taking as much damage as possible because i will build tanky through the game, but you need that early damage. and last 2x addaptive force 1x optional. now thats for the runes. Before i give u the build i will first explain the playstyle as its importand to understand the build and ur runes. This build on zed is complete bruiser, focusing on CDR, sustain, And moderate damage aswell as tankiness. Zed doesn have any sustain himself so heĺ need to get it from ithems, eventually get 120+ AH wich will be around 55-60% CDR so u can spam ur shit like in urf (Note: zed W passive gives u Energy back when hitting multiple ability on same target) wich needs a little skill tho. together with that sustain from conqueror and ithems you will get tons of heals while keep spamming those abilityś . another con zed has with this build that other ad caster dont have is that zed doesnt need to actually build that tanky to become hard to kill, 1/2 half tank ithems is easily enough because zed is so mobile he can dodge most of the damage. This build isnt that strong early but you will scale pretty quickly already after ur first ithem and it only goes better from there. BUILD: 1 Goredrinker - 2+3 Hydra/boots(optional) - 4 Spirit/randium( if vs 2/+ AP go spirit to get those insane sustain. if vs 3+ ad go randium, con for randium is that u allways perfectly hit that active after R) - 5 Steraks - 6 Optional( if vs much mobility get seryldra, if vs slower oponents get black cleaver. Btw note that goredrinker insta gives u a bonus hit to activate conqueror making is already really good even early(it can also be used simutaniusly with E + auto). Hydra is actually ur core ithem giving u some of everything u need. Boots (no need to explain) Spirit/randium here comes ur only real tank ithem to make u very hard to kill + both ithems gives u and extra like bonus sustain for spirit + AH, Steraks truly makes zed unkillable, with these 2 tank ithems, zed can never be assasinated unless chain ccd in team fights. meaning he will allways be able to escape or continue his combo. now the last ithem is just to complete zed for late game. extra damage focused on armor pen + 20 AH to give him even more spammability. You should try this build if ur skilled with zed, garanteed 100% most damage everygame. another importand note btw, is that depended on situation, I take teleport on zed now, factors for why: With this build, i dont rely on early kills as now im the scaler. if i step into midgame with 0 kills but more enough cs, then its already midlane won. If i take tp on zed then i dont need much off combat mobility giving me more freedom to build other stats. If i take teleport then it often gives my toplaner the freedom to take ignite helping him to win his lane ( ofc its situational). And you can double roam sometimes ( example, shove mid wave, roam top then insta tp bot). and thats basically how i always be usefull with zed.

They did a "how to counter zed" guide
1) Dodge shurikens (focus on dodging Zed's shuriken, not his shadow one)
2) Punish him hard if he waste his W to farm or miss and especially if he used W (shadow)+Q on the wave. His W cooldown is HUGE eary game.
You can also bait the shadow to help having nice windows to punish him.
3) Don't be scared of trading back even if he chunked you a bit, he has everything on CD for a few seconds, so use them).

My WEQ combo doesnt work: I use my W and while the shadow is travelling I use my E. But when i do it my shadow doesnt do the E. I do the combo but only I do the E, not the shadow
