What I always find annoying is that the former party tends to be massive jerks that will constantly harrass the protagonist. What makes it more annoying is that the protagonist usually just lets them go. Maybe he humiliates them or beats them but thats that.
I find it frustrating is because the protagonist should know these people. He should know that their pride is going to cause him endless grief.
Im not saying he should kill them (unless they actually try to kill him and then all bets are off) but go a little further with the humiliation. Continuosly hound them, annoy them, prank them until they get the message that messing with the protagonist isn't going to end well.
I kinda agree, yeah. The MC could definitely be more assertive and not be a doormat. And I, for one, would definitely remember their betrayal (if they tried to kill me/leave me to die).

I think I remember this manga, It's not worth it, he can't make decisions for himself and he is always led by the hand of the girl. He never realized that the guys on his team manipulated him to be used as a bait in battles, the truth this is one of the few mangas that make you desperate when reading

The fudge? "He who has money will win the war." So you want to tell me that some noble has more money than the king they are trying to fight against? Or am I not getting something with this story? The story is interesting. But just a bit nonsensical at times.
On one hand it makes sense, with more money you can afford to pay for more troops, weapons & supplies.
That being said, wars are very costly (unless your in the arms business and then you make a killing.) The longer the war draws out you run the risk of the war not being worth the effort.
Also yeah, some nobles may be more wealthy then the king. Either due to smart investments, business, or good old fashioned misier behaviour. Hence why some kings need to have the noble support.
But for the context of the manga, I have to agree the world building can be a bit...wonky.
Well actually it happen in reality like the Médicis or Marchand noble family who had the more power economically but not political
