- Version 2 of the 02q swapped mk5 is just about finished up. I only need a front end and a steering rack then it should be “road worthy”
I hope this video helps anyone who was wondering get up to date on where the mk5 has been. I’ve only been posting mk6 content recently so this will be a step in the other direction. I will post update videos along the way as I get this car ready to be turbocharged in the future.

So do you know what got messed up on the first attempt where you couldn't get the clutch to fully disengage?
Pressure plate ended up being the culprit for why the clutch wouldn’t fully disengage
Almost blew up an 07k but cooked instead 😮💨

Question, are you able to provide a parts list on what clutch kit and components to use for this swap? I got a 02q recently for dirt cheap and I’m not too sure what clutch and flywheel combo I’m supposed run exactly
pull one off of a 1.9 tdi or 2.5l. The 2.0 has a different bolt pattern. Im doing the swap rn. I used a 2.0t cc sport as a donor. I took the 6speed manual trany, dual mass fly wheel (wrong one), clutch kit, clutch pedal, shifter with cables, axles, and i cut off connector sections of the harness with at least a foot or two of cable (clutch position sensor and reverse switch). I now have to get 6 bolt pattern flywheel off of another 2.5l or 1.9 tdi to finish my swap.
