Thanks for the after trip run down Sam. I had similar thoughts after our Cape trip in 2012. We took just over 5 weeks and it was great. The top half of the Tele was our fave. Highlight was 4 nights at Canal Ck with at least 3 runs of the top party of the tele, lots of recoveries of stuck Toyotas and lots of swimming at Canal, Fruitbat and Twin Falls. The old GQ loved it.
You can see how light a footprint you leave with the Mog... good driving and it idles thru everything.!
    You'll love the Simpson!
    Cheers JK

100% agree with not going over the jardine and spending more time on the OTT!
I’d like to take my mog up early in the season when the rivers are still real deep!
As for cypress log bridge, You’ll always get some hero’s on the internet.

Mate I absolutely 100% agree with you as far as the trucks leaving less footprint.
We did the tele track which must have been about a week or so before when you guys did it.
I can honestly say in the 5 weeks we spent up there the only time we saw tracks being damaged or chewed up was from Ford Rangers hanging up on their diffs, giving the right boot to make it worse and then have to skull drag themselves out.
Most of the time the "cowboys" with fully built rigs were playing on the bonus lines and never caused any damage that I saw.
It was generally inexperienced drivers in under equipped dual cab utes that were causing the most damage.
Same as the bridge situation, should have you done it in a 79 series cruiser then it would have been the bridge's fault 😂

The bridge has been waiting to break for ages, its a worry for everyone who tries to cross. I would bet that it has been broken before, and will break again. The evidence is there, Ratchet straps were put there for a reason. The bridge was built from trees that were cut down previously, and guess what , the trees will grow back.. New shoots will soon come out from the stump that you left.
It was a great series, and you didnt hide anything eventful that happened, it would have been easy to just not show the bridge breaking and the repair.

the log bridge gets nearly every wet season rebuilt by the first through for the year ratchet straps are the easiest way to hold it firm

Missed you posting this last week...
Screw the haters Sam. The biggest issue with social media is the amount of dickheads on here.
That bridge at Palm Creek was in shite condition. You 100% left it better than when you walked it.
