I really hope you find the time to give her a full paint job and let her shine! That paint job is beautiful!! Watching you and Aaron is so entertaining!
Gotta love a Bubba Dump getting some TLC shop time episode.
Given how hard he works and dirty he gets he definitely deserves it.
Now he's ready for another year of movin' mud, rocks, trees, undergrowth and whatever else Dirt Perfect crew get hired to do. he definitely earns his keep.
Thanks for the Sunday afternoon entertainment Mike and Arron.
A helpful hint when pulling lines from top of engine down to bottom is tie a string to the line at top before pulling line so when you feed it back up, you just pull spring back up. No fighting or remembering with route it come. :)
Thats a great idea!
My problem is I don't remember the string trick till it's time to reinstall the line.
I keep a couple pieces of 100lb monofilament of different lengths that I have have swivels attached to each end. I attached the swivels to end of the monofilament by heating it and forming a small glob instead of tying a knot or using a crimp to mark it easier to feed it through. I attach the line, wire, etc with either a small tye-wrap or tape
An electric fuel pump removed from the fuel tank of a junk car/truck along with a length of low pressure fuel hose and couple wires (speaker wire, lamp cord, and cheap extension cords work well) and a couple of large Alligator clips to attach to a battery (or jump pack) works great to transfer fuel from buckets into a tank, or visa-versa. Additionally those pumps will also work with most motor oil, ATF, hydraulic fluids and even gear oil if temperature of the stuff is above 60 degrees or so. I have pumped 15w40 from a bucket into the engine at lower temperatures but speed of the transfer is slower and pump life is diminished. When I worked at a Ford/Lincoln shop Dealer as a line mechanic we were constantly replacing them because of noise on new cars so I didn’t car if the pump I replaced under warranty burned out pumping cold gear oil. In case you are wondering I had a pump setup for Gas/Diesel, Engine Oil, ATF, and Gear oil. Some guys I worked with just used one pump for everything
At the 35:33 mark, there's a warning on the side of the bucket to not let MBTS crawl into the bucket.
A sad fact is that 5 gallon buckets with open tops and partly filled with liquid, kill more toddlers in America than firearms do. At a certain size, children can lean over the bucket to see whats in it, and being so light, they can fall head first into it, and not be heavy enough to tip the bucket over, resulting in death. This is a real and genuine fact, and yet there is no clamor to put child safety warnings on buckets, or to 'ban' them, like they do with other objects that require willful human action to cause harm.
Yep, your piece of wire at 22:03 is to hold the fuel cap. Usually has a piece of chain with it.
Now you have to paint the rest of the truck to match the fuel tank 😂
Nice job guys👍
Another Fun Sunday with Arron and Mike refitting the fuel tank and lots of short jokes ,always a guaranteed good time and lots of laughs watching these two working together .
“I didn’t have any leaks up here” MBTS cracked me up again. Great vid DP.
The look on Aaron's face when you ask about the plug. 😮
Nicely done fellas, so much better video when you are not bickering over who is right or who's idea it was.
Those are funny too
What.... I keep hoping for gloves and 3 rounds in the ring.
Yes that curly metal thing was hooked to a chain that stopped the fuel cap from getting lost. God bless
Really enjoy the shop videos! Don't forget to fix those rust holes on Bubba Dump!!
Another good video Mike.
Did you notice the picture of Aaron on the side of the bucket when he was refilling the diesel tank.😂
❤
Having struggled with wrenches and fittings in tight places many times, I have to admit it's kind of fun watching someone else struggle with wrenches and fittings in tight places 😉
Love the new Dirt Perfects Garage channel. Been a loooooooong time coming. 😲👍👈🤪🤪
Nice work Mike and Aaron, it's fun watching you guys work together. Aaron .... Mike's yep man 😁 and come-on Mike leave us hanging !!!!
a dry ice blaster to clean oily, dirty parts without getting wet... may be nice addition to the shop.
man, one day I'm definitely buying one.
it is nothing like working on clean parts and in a clean area. it's so nice. easy to spot new or same leaks. man, it's going to be sweet.
The only trouble with a dry ice blaster is that you need dry ice for it to work and most people don’t have that readily available.
At work they use enough of it daily that they can make it on site.
Great job guys putting the fuel tank on bubba dump
You're right, keep the fuel cap from getting lost when you forget to put back on after fueling. (should be on a little chain)
You are right it's for your fuel cap should be a chain going from the cap to that wire spring thing
Thanks guys another very funny episode and Bubba is nearly ready to go I wouldn't like to be the first person to scratch the new paint, more shop time Mike it's gold😊😊😊

Yea, I was curious as to who would be the first to put a deep scratch on the new paint job

Probably poor old Matt he drives the most

I have got to give you credit you take pride in all you do!!
Bubba looking good. Can’t wait to hear that exhaust. One day need to paint the whole truck camouflage.
Love the way you guy's screw together fuel fittings into dirty holes with dirt and crap all over them, Can't wait till it find's the injectors.
Thanks for the fun Mike, you and Aaron did a very nice job on the repairs. This may be counter intuitive but at the 34:45 time stamp, Aaron is holding the 5 gallon bucket backwards/upside down and you shouldn't put any holes in the bucket unless the fluid is a very high viscosity product. When pouring diesel and other low viscosity fluids from a pail like that, the opening should be on top, not the bottom. ( this stops the burping and mess) Cheers from Canada
Next time you visit your mechanic, just give him or her a great big hug! They are worth their weight in gold for getting into small places. ❤🇨🇦
You push, I’ll steer.
I don’t think I’ve got enough push. 🤣🤣
The tank looks good nice job exhaust looks cool hope it works out bubba almost ready for a another year
Always amazes me how many don’t clean the area there working on before hand, or at the very least afterwards 🤦🏻♂️
Loving the channel guys, much love
Totally agree. The first thing I would have done is clean off all the old oil and dirt before taking anything apart.
I say that almost every fix video. But I guess you don't see the dirt until you see the dirt meaning by time you see it needs to be clean you always have a wrench on it.
Awesome…
surprising that fuel line held at all!
Good video and you two are fun to watch together
Thanks
Looks like a professional job i can tell Bubba Dump is a happy dump now not being leaked all over his ride 👍😎🇺🇸 9:22am NY
Oh good, another Aaron an Mike shop show... two friends workin on their BUBBA😊
Looks good until Matt runs through the fence again lol😂
Lol
DP! I really like it when you get us in there and we see whats going on!
Oh boy what a video - both of you found tight corners in which to work and the finish to date is great. Fuel tank is so pretty :) now Bubba Dump has a smile.
The stainless spring thing is for the fuel cap chain
Listen to Bubba per nice work gentleman and again a great watch 👍👋🇨🇦
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Great to see Bubba looking so fine, the stacks look amazing. Wishing you and your family the best.
You got it done great job great video thanks Mike and Aron
That piece is for the end of the chain that attaches to your fuel cap
You know it is going to drive me up a tree looking at that freshly painted diesel tank, all Purdy and such , and Bubba dump, you know you need to paint the the rest now😊
Situations where fittings are located is where a crowsfoot works well. Great job. Entertaining as usual. God Bless.
Nicely done always good to find and fix those annoying leaks !
Yippy! Yeah! Hooray! Bubba Lives! Can't wait to see if the stacks clear! Great video, Thanks Mike and Aaron! Lee
MAN that truck is going to look sooo good when you get it all completely painted the OEM color it and the 210 will be a new pair!!
Lol I love the different hight shelve mine would have been on the tire too
After one hour of work the new paint is history 😂😂.
another great video guys you too working together well so much banter and fun watching the laughter keep um coming and them stacks look awsome cant wait to see next video with them working
Mike and Aaron great build! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Yes fuel tank looks great all the leaks fixed and that exhaust hope she makes the turns .Great job on the welding Mr behind the scenes Well done guy's
I enjoyed your video. Nice to see Bubba Dump getting repaired and serviced. The repaired fuel tank looks awesome! Great job DP & Aaron, as usual!
That was the keeper that attaches to a small chain that attaches to the fuel cap so mr melinial can't lose the cap,lol
Sounds alright with no exhaust on it, But can barely wait to hear those stack pipes sing!
8:40 I would certainly do a very thorough steam clean to get all that oil, crease, and dirt off. Keep an eye on it and look for signs of any other leaks.
Fantastic job gents, looks great, now it will be nice to operate without having to be reminded of the little gremlin repairs that need to be worked on every time you start it, Bubba is looking good for sure, thanks for the tag along vid.
Awesome job fixed all leaks and body work is awesome. Can't wait to see if the stacks clear . With all your previous builds you had no problems I think the stacks are going to clear . Great video when you to get together it's always fun. Denis from Santa Rosa
Howdy Mr. Dirt, The "new" tank looks awesome!! When you were looking for leaks at the end - put a clean piece of cardboard on the floor to see the drops. Next time you bring Bubba back from a job to your storage garage - put a sheet of cardboard under the front of it to check for leaks. Take Care, Jim
Thanks for the video. How is there no room in that big truck?😂
Great video. The tank looks great!
Bubba Dub is getting there, looking at your stacks I think you might just be OK, might be a few millimetres in it but I think they will clear. You need to have a couple of lockers with a change of clothes, would be really useful for those diesel bath moments. 🤣🤗
It's enjoyable watching the both of you working together in the shop. Thank you for your video posts.
Think that wire with the loop on it sits into the filler pipe and chain goes fro. It to the cap
Good morning! Another awesome video and I am happy to see that everything is coming together for you
Thanks
Long-time viewer.
Mike, I've been to the *Sistine Chapel in Rome* , and I can confidently say that the *craftsmanship and raw skill* that went in to *refurbishing that fuel tank* makes that *church look like a shack* .
That *tank* is an *extraordinary work of art* that you should be *proud of and cherish* .
The Clip was for the fuel cap chain…🧐 Great job going back with the tank. slowly but surely, Bubba is becoming a stallion again…lol. Pervious owners not only wore the paint off but failed the maintenance process.
Great video Mr Dirt Perfect and Aaron
That shiny new tank looks like a gold tooth on ol’ bubba lol 😄
Well Done! DRATS!!! I have to wait for part three! Will the stacks clear or not? Will DP and MBTS figure out a way to flexibly connect the stacks to the engine? Stay tuned!
Bubba Dump sure does have a lot of stuff crammed in there. Good thing you got short mechanics 💪 and tall mechanics 🧠 Great job guys, now you fill up Bubba Dump you’ll real forget about the last time you filled him😉👍🇺🇸
Tank looks great. Hope you got the leaks fixed. Good job as always.
Great video, how about the big rust holes above the tank… UK
Has MBTS sneaky swapped out his yellow paint, as that tank looks a very light coloured on camera 🤔🤔🤔
Great video, great fun, great work gentlemen! Thanks, stay well, stay safe!
Tank came out great 👍,
DP what did you just say? Aaron is your LOVELY assistant! 😂
Ahhhhhh the suspense is killing me😮
Yes that spring looking thing is supposed to have a chain connected to it and the fuel cap just like on semi's
I really like your new intro Top notch.
Thanks
Great job but I expect nothing less from you guys, now will the stacks clear 🤔
Do y’all think you’re gonna have to add 4” to the stacks ? Ohh… excellent job on the fuel tank 👍😃 !!!!! Ya think you might put a date on the tank ? Rebuilt 2023. It looks brand new 👍.
Great episode you did a really good job on that tank DP it's looks like new and it went back into its little hole so quick and easy
Mike you guys did a good job on the repair and where it looks and I love your new intro that really does look nice you guys did a good job on that like I told you before you're a little mechanic and an operator and I love watching everything you do have a good time
Thank you, another awesome video, I learn everythink 👍👍👍👍
Hello from Denmark
spring is on its way, we are now in summer time v put the clock forward one hour.
We have rain today, March 26, but there may still be snow. Sometimes we suddenly get snow at Easter, but we certainly hope not, we all want spring as a gentle transition to summer.
Thanks for good videos whatever the time of year
DP a crows foot would have made removing and reinstalling that elbo easier. God bless
Looks like the goop application went better than the anti-sieze.
Watching for the banter between you guys!
I believe that the custom stacks are going to be fine DP
All Aren needs to do is have the spout at the top when dumping and you do not need to put a hole in lid ! ! ! ! So when you need a bucket with a closed lid you have one ! ! ! !
Wow that fuel tank looks really nice👍👍
I think holds the fuel cap should have had a chain attached to it and the cap.
Teflon tape is for use under the sink. Permatex makes a brush on thread sealer. Get some. 😉
Awesome job DP and MBTS
Change DP to DP/B.S. !!! 😂
The wire with the coil in the middle is for a fuel cap anchor chain that way you can't drop/lose it like on the Mack. 😊
Good video. Glad bubba dump is ready to roll....hope the exhaust pipes are right on.
Thanks for sharing
I love it when a plan comes together.
Lookin good. Thanks DP.
Now you need to paint the whole Bubba dump, to match fuel tank ❤
