Here we are again... Frontier! Next up, a couple of United trips which were interesting, to say the least. Make sure you tune in for those... especially the premium transcontinental flight in Business 😬
"Has anyone ever had a BAD stroopwafel?" I....I....I can't see how that would be possible.
If you want to acquire and endure a literal pain in the backside, then fly LLC Spirit Airlines. I'd bet my house that you won't be disappointed,
Paul's Trip Reports into LAX
Another great video, becoming a real fan since just subscribing!
I saw your Insta reports on the United trips. I think United got clobbered
I love Frontier. They are the only airline that flies directly into Branson, MO. This allows me a inexpensive flight up to see my aging parents. Thank you Frontier! Please keep flying into Branson!
No Paul. This is no fair. Come back, fly frontier with regular economy with no stretch and suffer likethe rest of us.
Zactly
Don't be cheap and get a stretch yourself
Frontier is fine...until your flight gets cancelled.
Hinch Knece This can be said of any airline
Or a little bit of rain delays your flight for an hour...
I've never had a flight canceled but 3 months ago a flight was delayed 4 hours due to bad weather in Cancun. Got a $70 voucher.
@@martinc.720 - Yes, except other airlines have more same-day flights as back-up. With Frontier, chances are you have to wait 24 hours for the next flight.
They canceled my flight last year to Florida because of snow the night before...There was a dusting of snow and no other airlines had canceled flights or delayed flights.
I worked for Frontier. The way our trainers had us remember the airport code for MCO was "Mickey Mouse Corporate Offices". Also, the last plane I turned as a ramp agent was Cactus the Coyote! From Denver!
Dennis Sandoval I work at DEN currently, and absolutely hate uploading for MCO. Always a heavy flight. Inbound too.
Skai Prisa. then don’t work!!!
My frontier cooperate trainer taught me it’s “Mickey come here” 🤣
Glad we made your trip enjoyable! Come fly wit us again... we specialize in "low fares done right!"
Thanks for sharing the memorial plaque. Because of that, I looked Mr. Galvin up and read his heroic story. He was a crane operator who was perched 90ft above the construction site. Somehow the crane toppled over while it was holding a 4-ton concrete beam. He decided to lower the beam as low as possible to the ground to save a dozen other construction workers who would've been struck had it fallen. He sacrificed himself (he could've jumped and somehow survived, though the article didn't explain how) so that the other workers could live.
Hey Paul, thanks for the review. I was the FA who served your coffee . I'm glad you liked it.
"I was pretty impressed with Frontier Airlines," said no one else in the history of aviation. They were great for a long time, then they decided to be America's Ryanair.
aisle9 Agreed. I worked for Frontier in Denver back in the early 2000’s. Back then it was a great airline that I was happy working there and proud to tell people about the airline. I always recommend flying Frontier for years afterward until it became obvious that the quality of their products and service took a huge dive. So unfortunate, they had a great opportunity years ago to have a high quality airline but it appears they’ve failed miserably from what I’ve seen.
I disagree for the price, frontier is amazing. Round trip to denver from orlando for 70 dollars. I dont mind being uncomfortable for the right price.
The original Frontier Airlines that lasted until 1986 when PeopleExpress bought and merged with them and then became a takeover target for Frank Lorenzo’s Texas Air was a very good airline.
Plus they've had a major pilot contract dispute which I think is still ongoing. Not good.
these bastards nicked all of my flyer miles when they ended their program a couple of years ago without any sort of options. so much for my hometown airline.
Paul, just want to say how much I enjoy your journeys. As someone who loves to fly and loves commercial aviation, I love being able to travel vicariously through your videos and Instagram!
I love frontier airline. I'm 5'8 and plus size. I have enough room for my long legs, my 48" hips fit just fine and the seat belt actually fits around my gut (no extender needed) 🤣🤣 ... Best plane I've got on since I've been flying at the age of 9!
You’re the lucky person with a good plane then. When I flew with frontier airline, leg room wasn’t even a thing. I’m 5’7 and the seat in front was touching my knees the whole time
@@christinaguerrero9295 I'm 6 foot 1 and I had 4 knee surgeries it was a bad idea to fly frontier lol
Dylan Levy I think the airlines should state how much approximate legroom a person will have.
@@julesw1403 they did I just had no choice.. frontier flyers need short legs an very skinny hips... An I'm just average size most adult males will have a bad experience but you will get where your going
U got a man
Let‘s crowdfund for a pancake machine for Paul :D
The bad experiences with Frontier doesn’t occur during the flight. The piss poor customer service getting on the flight as well as the care that goes into addressing post flight issues (eg lost bags, delayed connecting flights etc) is where Frontier fails miserably.
Illuminated7 right my handle broke off my luggage when I went to Vegas in 2018
Ok
I have been missing you, even though you have only been gone for like a week, but that just says something about how great your videos are. Lovely to have you back, family always comes first.
Daniel Strandby Thanks Daniel!
Bromance
Nothing better to conclude a day than grabbing some popcorn and watching Paul's Trip Reports. Lol, I need to get that pancake machine for my kitchen :D.
I did some research and they cost anywhere from 3000 to 4500 USD, Unfortunately.
Hm, sounds a lot, but let's say you go to Starbucks five times per week, and pay 3$ for a pancake. That's 15$ per week, 60$ per month and 720$ per year. After 4-5 years of pancakes the machine starts to save money (assuming it is still working...). If you eat 2 pancakes or more each morning you're there even faster :D. But well, I guess I'm going to continue making conventional pancakes haha.
EDIT: I think I found this machine - ruclips.net/video/RHsY2W9VX6A/видео.html The pancakes are made with a prefabricated mixture in a plastic bag where you have to add some water (which btw ruins my calculation :D). Then you attach it to the machine. To be honest it reminds me of a urine bag from hospital ;-), so I'd say I still prefer normally made pancakes :-).
You don''t want them. They break non-stop and are just nasty to clean.
This means so much to me that you tried them out 😍😍😍 they are my favorite LCC ever and hopefully my future dream job. Most of my trip reports on my channel feature F9 haha happy to see someone like you having a good time with them especially after the majors world airlines you’ve flown. I’m so happy about this trip report overall 😍😂
I was surprised by how good Frontier was. The key is full preparation and buying the extras well in advance.
The whole pancake sequence really made the video for me, love how genuinely pleased with them you seemed to be! Keep them coming Paul!
That pancake machine is very cool. There's also one in the Novotel in Canberra, Australia. Stayed there a couple of months ago and the kids thought they were in heaven!
Didn't realise that frontier was a budget airline before I booked us. We have a family emergency and need to be in Utah this weekend. I love flying first class for these reasons. 1. Room. 2. Being able to get off first. 3. Typically get to board first. All the other extras I don't need. Free drinks, food service and so on. I'm active military and so I can board first anyways. My bags are free too with frontier. So to me, these stretch seats are basically first class seating. Love it!
Welcome back the personal reviews are fantastic wish you continued success Paul
Thank you for doing a great review on Frontier, so many ppl hatin' on this airline, what do they expect? I think Frontier is amazing for it's price. My husband and I love Frontier! Your'e a good man, God Bless you!
From your experience. Would you recommend Frontier over spirit?
Always a great video Paul! This new format of the channel js definetly an improvement.
Never flown with them but I've seen some planes while in the US and love their livery...
Nicely done! I flew Frontier in 2012 and 2013 during their (rocky) transition to a ULCC. Nice to see that they've made some improvements.
This is how an airline review has to be made. Excellent job!!
First time I've caught an upload via Patreon in so long! Loved to hear your review of frontier and much like you, I was underwhelmed when I first visited Orlando! Very much enjoyed this review and look forward to the next instalment! :)
The Patreon app notifies you :)
The Rolling Troll oh i know, I've been away on vacation in Canada so WiFi has been pretty crappy for the most part! But im in a stable location for my last week here so i can finally catch a video on time!! :D
I saw one of those pancake machines at a hotel in the UK earlier this year, I was just as amazed!
I've never heard of those "Airparks". Such a cool concept and I would love to visit one, one day.
Great video as always Paul. Keep up the fantastic work!
I've never flied with Frontier, but I do know they used to do a deferred maintenance, this caused a lot of their pilots to do a sick out because they were afraid for passenger saftey.
I really enjoyed this review. I didn't expect to see my flight school in Macon or Mallards landing! Great video!
Thanks man I really needed this, because I'm going fly frontier airlines for the first time and was really curious about what its like inside especially the stretch seats.
Hi. How was fronteir ?
@@pumpkin_it_slawson3588 Hey I’m not 651pooh but I thought I would respond hoping my opinion may help you in someway. My mother and I just flew Frontier, departing from Las Vegas on 6-19-2022 arriving in Nashville, it was a nonstop flight just under 4 hours. Our flight was on time on departure and arrival in Nashville. Our trip was a round trip ticket purchase, in my quest for looking for our flights, after all the additional purchases aside from ticket alone which was our seats, luggage fees I found it was much cheaper than any other airline as well for the most part the only nonstop flight. I did find one or two other airlines with a nonstop option, however the prices were rather ridiculously high. We returned back to Nashville for our departure on 6-26-2022 our flight again was nonstop as well. Our plane was delayed 25 mins they stated they were waiting for the pilot to arrive the previous pilot had been on his max hours. This is what we were told. If this was true, I respect the airline, for one taking care of their employees, two not putting passengers at risk. I also don’t think 25 mins is that big of a delay, we actually only landed back in Las Vegas 5 mins passed our initial arrival time. For the comfort of the plane, seats were compact, three in a row then main isle and another three on other side. I’m 53 yrs of age 5’8, weight is 185 for reference. I felt comfortable, sufficient leg room, overall space was fine for myself as well my 73 yr old mother which in fact does have arthritis, some back and body pains what you would expected for the most part with a woman of her age. She felt just as she would after sitting at home for that length of time so I say that’s definitely an added bonus. They have two restrooms located at each end of the plane, they were clean on both of our flights as well the overall plane was clean. The 👩✈️👩✈️ including one pilot 👨✈️ were all very friendly both flights. My overall opinion based off of this round trip as well a couple other trips within the past 5 yrs have all been great experiences. If I were going on a trip that is more than 6 or 7 hours I would looked to a more spacious plane, I think for these shorter trips under 6 hrs Frontier is just fine. This is my true opinion and experience for myself and mother. I do believe it’s also you’re own attitude and expectations as well, they do have restrictions on sizes of luggage-items aka: strollers, if you stay within those guidelines you will not be questioned-or have any problems. My niece had an issue with stroller size and swears she’ll never fly with them again. Which is a big part of peoples experience’s. I believe many of the negative reviews may be based off of issues such as, also cancellations which I have never experienced myself, I’m sure I would probably get a little sour about that depending on circumstances whether it’s justifiable or not. For price, nonstop option compared to all others, cleanliness, staff I give an A+ and recommend trying for yourself, you’re own experience. Hope this review can help you or other’s have a little better understanding and confidence in booking with Frontier airlines.
@@KimmieB. thank you 🥰
Another thoroughly entertaining video Paul. Keep it up
Also my first Stroop waffle was not on Delta but actually on frontier airlines. And yes the stroopwaffle was amazing. Also the plane was an 8320 Ne-Yo and I like how there is only economy with stretch or regular economy with no stretch with over 180 seats because not only the plane 20% more fuel efficient than a regular A320, but seats more passengers than a regular A320. Frontier and spirit or both really good for the environment and so is Ryanair I think all airliners should see passengers in this capacity but offer in-flight entertainment and free food. We need to do more to take care of the climate
Great video! I've seen Frontiers aircraft in a few of the West Coast airports but never realised how extensive their route network was.
Paul, I have lost track of how many of your videos I have watched. As huge fan of air and rail travel I have become a huge fan of yours. Thank you so much!!! The reason I am writing is because I had to tell my wife about your Orlando pancake machine. Keep up the great work and keep on flying.
great trip report...I fly them in a few weeks from KPNS-KDEN... last time was about 20 years ago before it became a ULC airline and yes I got the "works" with this ticket...thanks Paul
Your videos are always interesting, I really like all your trip reports.
Nice to see a budget airline being innovative!
Thanks for this video! Ive oy flown Icelandair and JetBlue but me and my mom have a flight with Frontier in March from Atlanta to Las Vegas.
I had the exact same pancake machine in a hotel in Nice, France. I am glad to see someone as enthusiastic as I was with the machine!
I've never had a bad stroopwafel but have to mention that the ones you can get made fresh at some of the Netherlands weekly markets are worlds ahead of the stuff you can get prepackaged of course.
We flew Frontier three round trips LAX/MCO when they offered direct flights. The Stretch seats were fine, the staff polite and professional. Low budget, no frills for sure but just fine for the price. Thanks for this trip report!
The pancake maker was really great! I've never seen one in any Priority Pass lounge...or any other. Thank you for sharing it with us!
You could very much say that Orlando is my home airport (been flying in and out for 20 years). I love MCO: clean, reliable, efficient, and easy. I've maybe had one or two "bad days" there in 20 years (in terms of security, long lines, lost baggage, you name it). MCO is one of the best in the country in my opinion and I absolutely love flying in and out of there. Enjoyed this one, as always, thanks!
The pancake machine! They have one of those at the Hotel Piccadilly in Fresno California. Love it. As to Frontier, I haven't flown them since they became a ULCC a number of years ago. I have enough miles to get a free ticket but have been reluctant to use them. Your review has assuaged some of my fears.
Thanks for the info on this airline, my family is flying to orlando and I am using frontier.
Great video review keep on trucking friend.
Nonstop Dan and Paul both uploaded today. It's a good day!!
I use Frontier from my home in Austin TX to Denver CO and or Orlando Fl fairly often as I have family in both cities. They're always friendly and the flights themselves are pleasant enough once you get past the airport traffic which isn't their fault. When going to one of these Frontier is always my first choice.
There's a pancake machine at N1 Lounge at Gatwick South!
Hi Paul love your video's. Great seeing the different level of service each airline provides. If your ever back in Ireland head for The Sheraton hotel in Athlone as they have this pancake machine for the breakfast buffet. Great video again... 🇮🇪. 😀
Yup, once per week to Denver from Calgary, wish it was more frequent their liveries are nice to see around the airport.
Those pancakes 😍😍😍
QFS Aviation really?! I was more like 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮
Who wants to eat such pancakes? While looking onto the working machine it remembered me more to something on the toilet than something in the kitchen, to say the truth... :-(
I live in the USA and I have never seen an auto pancake maker before. Fantastic!
Pancakes and waffles on this report!!
👋
hey quintin when r u going to upload another video
Hope you enjoyed Atlanta! Very nice trip report!
Excellent airline, I flown on October-November round flight from San Antonio, TX to Salt lake, UT. and everything was really great, of course I would use Frontier again. Budget airline and great service.
Fantastic review, Paul … it seems as though the ULCC here in the US are slowly ingraining themselves to our reality now. JetBlue is still my favorite, but I have now had 4 pretty good trips on Spirit as well. I went in expecting very poor service but when It was actually decent, I was pleasantly surprised. I won't hesitate to fly Frontier either now -- esp after your report. And Re: JetBlue, they did open a tab for us for our inflight purchases. My partner and I were flying them to pick up a cruise and were in FULL vacation mode .. so we told the FA that we'd likely be ordering another round (or 2) of cocktails .. so she opened a tab and hit us (with a shockingly high tab) at the end! Keep ur vids coming, Paul … theyre amazing …
Frontier is great for short weekend type trips as well... Single personal item, I don't care where the sit me, and all I pay is base fare - no 'add ons' for me. I also purchase my tickets at the airport vs. online for my advance flights, because it saves an additional $19 a ticket that frontier charges to use their website.
Last flight I took was a trip from CVG (Cincinnati) to MCO (Orlando), round trip with my mom. Total cost: $108. That is a steal, given the only other airlines that fly from CVG non-stop to Orlando is Allegiant and Delta, and Allegiant flies in SFB about 50 miles north of Orlando, and Delta is at at least 5-6x the price for the same dates / amenities in economy. Those same tickets I got for $108 on Frontier was priced at $755 on Delta, and that didn't include a carry on or seat assignment.
I cannot really say anything bad about them yet, as I have never experienced anything more than a minor delay of 10-20 minutes, and know perfectly well not to expect first-class luxuries while on board. I'll 'suffer' for 2 hours, lol.
Have you flew with family with Frontier? Did you purchase seats? Im debating whether to purchase seats and cross my fingers that we all sit together. It will be ok if you dont but just curious.
Not sure I agree it's a great value.
Assuming you don't want one of these extra legroom seats, you are sometimes better flying Southwest on this route. They sometimes go for around $50 and you don't need to pay for baggage or anything else
Pancake machine?? No, sorry, not rocking me old boat. Now if it was a mini chocolate cake machine, you'd be talking! Stroopwaffles? No idea they even existed until this video? Airparks? Think that's for a country with plenty of room but a great idea. Thank you for helping me learn THREE new things today. :))
Spruce Creek Fly in Community in Central Florida is really great. John Travolta and family have a home there. Great video Paul...thanks for posting.
Paul, your videos are very high quality. I’m happy to be your subscriber. Keep it up! I haven’t flown Frontier. After this video I’m definitely giving them a try soon. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the great review. We're getting creamed in the media bc our fly tab gives you the option to tip. So happy there's an intelligent traveler that realizes you don't have to tip if you care not to vs. whining about it. You're my hero..Ww are an ULCC, like Spirit. (Ultra Low Cost Carrier). No frills, cheap ticks..
No problem - Frontier gave me better value than most legacy carriers do! Happy flying 👍🏻
Really like the video Paul. Love the format and the shots you get.
Holiday Inn Express has those pancake machines in Europe had it in my Zurich hotel when I was plane spotting 😋
When I was at MCO a week and a half ago, I went into a Club MCO (I'm pretty sure different terminal as the one I was in was rather different).
I actually had to try the pancake machine because of this video. They are actually pretty good, and the lounge was not bad for an American lounge. (This was infinitely better than the Delta SkyLounge in LaGuardia that we flew from days before.)
Thanks for another great video and a silly recommendation that kinda made my morning.
Nice report and good to know about Frontier Airline
Those pancakes are lovely...!!! 😋
I love your videos for the food and planes...!!!
You present it like it's right in front of you with all the detail...!!!
Pancake machine was ace !!!
Great vid Paul, all the best 👍
Looks like I'm about a year behind most other posters, but I watched this video because I just flew on Frontier a week ago; Grand Rapids to Denver, then Denver to Cincinnati. I did buy "The Works" package for both flights & I thought they were terrific! I liked the video, and I subscribed to the channel.
Hi paul here is a suggestion for future train trip repirts
How about a report on some of the more well known preserved railways such as the north Yorkshire moors but not just an ordinary journey but one that includes a meal that would be very useful as these are very popular and retain good patronage .........thanks paul
Thanks for the review! I'm comfortable with taking frontier on my next trip now
...the fact that you got super excited about a pancake machine made my day so much better lol...
Randomly the Holiday Inn Hull marina has the same pancake making machine 😁 I was equally thrilled when I saw it.
Liked before watching because I knew this report would be great.
Amazing taxi system at Atlanta, it’s unique, but necessary for the worlds busiest airport. Nice video. Thank you.
Another great report. I always thought Frontier were a Canadian airline, so there you go!! Watch that waist line Paul! 😂😂😂
Great stuff - I'm absolutely sure there's a pancake maker like that in the My Lounge at Gatwick North - after the mess I made trying to pour my own draft beer I steered well clear of it though!
Channel Alf I am going to have to try that lounge.... 😬😁
It's pretty cheap and cheerful compared to the others at Gatwick!
I’ve been to Spruce Creek before. Got a tour from a homeowner there and it’s actually really amazing.
Hey Paul. I've flown on Frontier from Orlando to Phoenix. I thought it was great. Good value for a low cost airline. Cabin was clean and up to date. I diffenitly would fly them again.
Air NZ offers 'Buy on Board' services for 'Seat Only' and 'Seat and Bay' fares on its short haul international services. Whilst tea, coffee or water is free for these fares, snacks, alcoholic and other non-alcoholic drinks can be be ordered and paid for through the IFE plus you can open a tab for ongoing refreshment purchases for the duration of the flight.
Happy to hear you liked Frontier- Haven't heard great reviews!
Thumbs up for the Mallards Landing sight and info... and that pancake machine.
Nice, i once flew with their „ FOX“ airbus, love their spread of different wild animals on their tails✈️✌️
I loved the pancake machine, wish we had these in the UK lol, but was well surprised about the tabs option on the flight as well as the bit with the machine like you'd pay for it via contactless.
Great video as usual Paul thanks.
Airparks! That's amazing. Tahnks for sharing
Proud of our stroopwafels 🇳🇱. You should come to Rotterdam one day, I work at that airport. And you can get fresh Stroopwafels here!
I love them stroopwafels
Frontier is great if you purchase your bags when you are buying your ticket--very affordable.. Great Review.
I remember People Express airlines, back in the 80's, used to offer tabs on their long-haul flights.
Smooth landing!
Flown Frontier from Philadelphia to Punta Cana. and back. Decent flight. Awesome livery with animals featured on winglets and rudder.
i love Frontier! though with that being said, i only fly with them on this route (ATL to MCO and back) haha. it's a super short flight so the regular seats aren't that bad. i got upgraded to the stretch seats for free one time and they're really comfy honestly lol. never had any delays or cancellations with them. they're a great airline for quick flights! but for longer trips i'd probably stick with Delta hahaha.
Norwegian offers their passengers the possibility to open a tab in their intercontinental flights. NICE VIDEO, PAUL!
Very good Paul keep up the good work 🤠
Love that pancake machine! Saw my first one this year in my hotel in Venice. Really want one for home!! 😂😂😃
The pancake machine at the lounge did it for me 😃... cool review 👍🏼
I love ❤️ Frontier flying out of Charlotte NC
Never have used Frontier. However you point out good points and make good suggestions.
We fly from Little Rock to Denver a few times a year and get great deals, like this month they have had flights for 15.00 each way. Can’t beat that price .
B.T.W, Norwegian (at least on their long haul flights) also encourages you to open a tab (albeit via the card reader in the entertainment screen so that the tab is closed automatically upon the conclusion of the flight).
I love the fact the tray table has lots of space between you and stretch seat
Thank you!! Im flying into Orlando this week and booked frontier and was nervous but you helped me. And I want those Pancakes!!!
How was it ?
