I initially said the same thing, but after consistently using them now for about a week, both for gaming, phone, music, watching movies, etc. I can safely say that I’m actually liking the fact that I’m not drowning in bass, I can hear more of the highs and mids that I was missing with other bass heavy headsets, and I had subwoofers installed in all my cars for 20+ years.
I remember helping you test out one of the PS4 Gold Headset mic in party chat back in the day, hearing the clicks when you would turn it up/down through the mic slightly. Man time flies. These look awesome.
I ordered this because of 1 feature. The ability to have both Bluetooth and the PS5 audio at the SAME EXACT TIME. The Xbox wireless headset does this too and its the reason I love that headset but obviously never had this option for Sony. Now you can listen to a podcast on youtube or whatever while playing a game on PS5 at the same time. Its a killer feature IMO.
FYI just got mine and its a beast. The most comfortable headset I've owned and I own the Kraken V3 Pro, the Xbox Razer Kaira Pro, the Xbox wireless headset and the regular Pulse 3D. This is my new favorite. Its not cheap feeling like the regular Pulse 3D pro either. It's much more quality materials and the ear cups are so soft! My one complaint is I wish the ear cups were slightly bigger since I have big ears. I can still fit inside of them but I feel for someone who may have bigger ears than me. Also, when the cups go over your ears the block out noise is insane! 9.5/10 so far.
Being able to actually use the sound controls on ps5 sold me on it. It’s gonna be so much more convenient pressing the mute button on the controller, or using the edge to adjust the party mix and sound.

I would definitely like to see a comparison between this and the Inzone H9. I love my H9 mainly because of how comfortable it is, but if the Elite is a clear upgrade I might have to consider switching.
Owned these but ended up buying the pulse explore for overall comfort, so I returned them. Came across a pair on mercari for $50 great condition and I couldn't resist.
Another huge selling point is LOSSLESS audio connection with the PlayStation link. Highest quality of audio from your audio source to your headset. As good or sometimes even better than wired.
I am so happy that they have softer, more comfortable ear foam because the last ones were hard and so uncomfortable for me, especially wearing think framed glasses
Yes it works with it. No reason why it wouldn’t. I believe you can even control the chat/game mix audio with the Fn button instead of pulling it up under the control center/quick menu.
Great review. I actually used double sided tape and mounted it on the inside of my cabinet. If I did not have that I would buy a stand and fix it up or just wait for a 3rd party stand like you said.

My own mounting solution until I can permanently place it is double sided 3M pull tape, it’s currently taped to the edge of my desk on the bottom. Right now I’m watching this video while using this headset on my phone, at work, eating lunch.
I love mine I have my industrial pierced almost a decade now and the pulses would make it super sore, these ones are so comfortable and can sit ontop of my head without giving a headache. Not to mention how good they sound and the AI technology built in! Cheers 🎉

16% of amazon reviews are the same issue, "disconnects". Why was this not addressed? It seems to happen more on day one consoles but also on the newest model. Disabling 2.4ghz router band does not help much. Nor using a dock. This is a big deal and none of you reviewers covered this big issue.

The only con that I'd give is the lack of a metal frame. The plastic frame is going to eventually get micro cracks that will eventually snap. The ear cup material looks like the kind that will crack up and peel. Listening to that 1 person in the lobby that is eating and drinking loudly... 🤣 I think it would make sense to do a comparison video with the Inzone headphones. Beside audio quality, another important aspect for me is the build quality. The materials used, how durable they are, etc.

It’s the best headset. And to note you can mute the mic with the controller as well. Need to say this with reviews. Cause the pulse headset you couldn’t. Wonderful sounds and quality.

Its bigger brother, Audeze Maxwell, has a lot of deep bass and precision. On the pulse Elite, I think that it is a conjunction the Digital Signal Processing used by PlayStation on this headset (running) + the drivers for that specific headset. But the Maxwell is doubled the price.
They really messed up with not including in game chat mix. That said these have the most precise and best 3d audio of any headset I've used (arctis nova x and nova pro, astro a50 and a50x, Maxwells, arctis 7p, rig 800s, stealth 700 and stealth pro)
Thanks for the review! They are Great value for money! I was worried I made a mistake with getting the Maxwell. I love bass in single player games and the Maxwell have plenty! seems like I would have been a little disappointed with the elites in that regard. Hello everyone. I finally bought pulse elite. Before that, there were razer kaira pro. And oh my God, that's great! Of course, there are no basses like on kaira, but the sound is much clearer and more pleasant. They keep the charge for a long time and in the same way: THEY ARE VERY CONVENIENT. Pulse 3d was a complete crap and sold out a week later. There were no outages on pulse elite. I was in doubt for a long time and decided to check pulse elite myself..And these are incredible headphones for the money. In terms of the quality of the materials, yes, it is bad. But the microphone, the sound, and the way they sit on their heads are beyond praise. All those who were also touched by the terrible pulse 3d are completely different headphones. Pulse 3d was pressed on the head and lay on top of the ear. The pulse elite does not squeeze and is worn around the ears and does not cause discomfort.

I think the main reason for the removal of the now complicated game to party chat mix is because you can now just adjust friends audio individually in the party which wasn't possible back when the pulse 3D came out. I also think this is way better.
Please do a comparison with the other Sony branded headsets. I am looking to go first party with my PS5. Right now I am using the Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 Max headset for both the PS5 and Series X. I also have the PS5 version of the Astro A30s. I am a bit of a headphones junkie so I have a large variety of headsets all around.
Please can you test with PSVR2 to see if it still fits as well as the pulse 3d did? The pulse 3d helped keep the PSVR2 headset from falling down and fit snuggly on the head.

These are gaming headphones not music . For 150 they are a deal.
What no one mentioning is that the earpads are glued, so you cant replace them when the pleather earpads wears out.
