    I recently did a sequined wedding cake, but with buttercream. There were quite a few loose ones and with every bump in the road a few of them would drop off. Yikes, not a good sound to hear while you're delivering a wedding cake, LOL Have you also painted them with the gold edible paint onto buttercream? I used a mix of thick gold sequins with sugar flakes for some sparkle and to lighten it up a bit. Love the marbeling.

    Hi Rosie! Love your videos...do you think adding sprinkles to a cake is easier with fondant under ....was thinking of doing buttercream but this does look easier??

    • @Rosiesdessertspot
      @Rosiesdessertspot  6 лет назад

      hey lovely! American buttercream would work beautifully. Hybrid buttercream to shortening buttercream not so much. Ironically it would probably be easier than fondant. cuts out a step and buttercream attaches the sprinkles much easier.

    So after painting the sprinkles, how long do we let the cake sit before we can stack them? And do we let us sit at room temperature or in the refrigerator?

    • @Rosiesdessertspot
      @Rosiesdessertspot  6 лет назад +1

      Hi hun, it would depend on how much paint you have added, but usually about 40 minutes to an hour should be ample time to dry. Room temp is best, but if you have perishable fillings in your cake like custards or fresh fruit, then in the fridge for a little longer will be OK.

    This is a Beautiful Cake Rosie. I would love to take classes however, it sounds to me that you are probably not giving classes in America (USA) so the commute might be a challenge. Other than that, I don’t see a problem, how about you, haha 🤣 I love the gold paint on the marble lines. It really sets the Cake off to another level, very Glamorous.
    I am a new viewer to your RUclips channel but will plan on keeping up with you. I am on the Pacific Coast in Washington State, Just across the pond and then across the country, called a hop, skip, & a Big Jump! If you get wet and the waters’ cold, back up till you get to land again, haha ( just made that part up)!
    Cheers, Irish Jilli

      Thank you so so much Elizabeth for your lovely message :D I use these recipes when I bake from scrach, as either cupcakes or for cakes as well:
      Chocolate: ruclips.net/video/FV47F4qtBeE/видео.html
      Vanilla: ruclips.net/video/mb7dzqxnl0k/видео.html
      spoon batter into your cake tins, alternating the 2 flavours and then swirl the batter together to create a marbled effect :)
