Этот "миф" давным-давно развеян. Даром что рок-фестиваль в 80-м в Тбилиси проходил. Правда, специально не интересовался грузинскими группами за последние лет тридцать-сорок, помню разве что Бермуха, Бетлеми, чуть позже Океане, ну и лет двадцать назад услышал крутую блэковую группу Диаохи. Но блин, полагать, что где-то слушают только "национальную музыку", это надо быть полным идиотом.
At first I thought it is not Naz, but after thinking about it, Pete Agnew has as much right to carry it forward. It didn't take long for this new lineup to grow on me either...hope they come to the US as I will go see them.

The guitar player Jimmy Murrison is longer in the band than Manny Charlton was. And Dan said in an interview, Nazareth is a music band, independent of the musicans. The Naz music must rock on. And they do a good job. Long live Nazareth forever!
I´m a great fan of Nazareth. Saw them live first time at age 12 in Stockholm and at three more concerts after that Inccluding concert 1981 with great Zal Cleminson. ... Always loved McCafferty but Carl is a worthy successor
First things first. I had the chance to work with Nazareth from the years of 93 to 99 as local crew. I was working with Pat Travers when we opened up for them in San Antonio. I was introduced to Darrell and he asked if I wanted to come back to Austin with them they were short a couple of techs. Brian and Ronnie and everyone else had it all worked out but someone to help break down the riser or push crates up ramp was welcomed. During that tour there was Billy Rankin playing and Manny had already left. Pete, Dan and Darrell were the only original memebers left in the band. However....by that time Billy had been a memeber since the 70's. If you count them...almost as long as Manny stayed with them or came back or whatever. Next tour I got a call they were coming back to Texas. Darrell and I had become friends. He was like a Dad. In 98 during the last tour with him I had opened a CD Shop..he was proud. I remember we were standing in Hospitality at Far West Rodeo (This was a tour with Blue Oyster Cult and April Wine) when I asked him when was the next record to be released. He said at the time they had a release in UK but were looking for a label to release here in the States. I gave him a card and told him to let me know and I would sell it. He looked at the card, looked at me and said "...is this you???" I said yes and he put his arm around me held the card up in the air and said "Look everybody Danny owns a CD shop!" Everyone was cool and yelled and said alright but I remember Pete saying "Then sell our fukin CDs!" YOU CAN NOT make that up. I have pictures from that night also. Alright....when Darrell passed away I kinda took it hard. I ended up closing the CD shop. I had issues. To me he was the coolest person in the world. Not because he was a rock star from my generation but because how he treated me as a person. Now....to my point......Pete may be the only original member left in the band but you remember when I mentioned that about Billy? Jimmy was on the 2nd tour I worked with them. Billy was gone. Jimmy has done a EXCELLENT job filling anyones shoes. Lee was like adding Jason Bonham to the Led Zep line up. Tell me you would NOT pay to go see them tour as Led Zeppelin with him playing. Lee is great! He was working the last tour with Darrell i think as one of his drum techs. Thats when I met him. As for this line up is concerned? Did you PAY to see this or was it a free download? PAY to go see them live and feel that energy coming from the stage and feel the energy from the concert goers and you will freak. One of the best parts of a joke is the response from others. One of the best parts of going to a concert is the energy one feels from the excitement of the people around them. Because of my little relationship with the members of the band and the warmth I have for Dan....I say let them rock. Carl is doing great. There are several generations that are digging Nazareth music. Let them rock on. Danny

You tell him! You tell all of those idiots that say it's not Nazareth. You and I both think the same way even though I never knew the band personally. I am a musician myself and I've played in a band before and followed around a few bad and seen a few bands before. Ignore the afew bad part. I seen a number of bands and been to a number of concerts in the last seven or eight years. Or close to 11 years. I've got to tell you, when I'd seen Ozzy Osbourne with changes in band members I didn't care as long as I Z was there a as a professional musician myself concert-goer, I of the opinion that changes in band members are a good thing at least once in a while. Band members retire, or they have to leave because of health concerns or they pass away. but Nazareth is a good example of a band that has lost original members but is still able to go on without them. They are still able to perform live shows and do what they need to do For their fans. So before you start bashing them and saying it's not Nazareth, I would suggest going and seeing a show and seeing it for yourself. I know you the person that wrote this comment that I'm replying to would not bash them, but a lot of the other idiots on your dash them and to me I think in my opinion the the band doesn't depend on just the musicians, but the fan base And the music is well. I am 20 5 years old and blind and autistic, and don't understand things at the level of an adult, and I am not able to live on my own, but I am a musician and I am a guitar player bass player and piano player and singer and can appreciate people like Carl sentence and like Johnny whatever his last name is the guitar player that can get out there and do those songs from their heart. Johnny the guitar player with that hair of the dog solo his thing that he uses for Hair of the Dog cooked up and I think they need to make sure the volume is turned up during the hair of the dog solo at all times and that the equipment is set up ready to go for the guitar player
After Pete retires too (later than sooner,I hope),they should call themselves "Razananaz-official tribute to Nazareth" or something like that,and keep the music alive. Still a very strong band.

Daaaaamn Carl does most of the songs really good!!!! Really great to see the band in such a great state! They deserve a bigger crowd. The only song that Carl did not do as good as he could, IMO, is "Dream On". He has everything in his voice to do it much better, he sings it in a weird happy/acting way. Thnx 4 uploading!
I went to see these guys live a couple weeks ago and they were great. This show is a little off from the performance they gave that night. I've read that Dan McCafferty gives them his blessing, so I think you should be able to as well. Also, this is anything but a cover band. Manny Charleton left the band in 1991, and Jimmy Murison has been with them as his replacement since 1994, I think that makes him a proper member of the band. As for Lee Agnew on drums, yes that's Pete Agnew's son, he's been the full time drummer since 1999 when he filled in for Darrel Sweet after he died from a heart attack. Carl Sentance is a great singer and frontman and you would be lucky to see this band live.
We cant call any band performing Naz songs Nazareth. Nazs singularity is a unique mixture of Dans screaming vocal, back vocal of Pete ( very important), and Mannys sliding guitar and his special way playing, a sort of howling. Nothig can be observed in this lot.

Sou muito fã de Nazareth, já vi eles 5 vezes ao vivo, e não tenho problema algum com esse vocalista! Ele agita ao vivo e canta muito, parece um bastardo entre Bon Scott e Bruce Dickinson, haha. Deixem o Dan descansar, e quem não gostar do Carl Sentance, que não vá ver mais show deles! Simples assim o/

I am a Naz fan since 1984, so I wanted first to add up to that "this is a cover band feat. an original member", and Dan's vox is really unique, and it was bad enough when Manny left... but indeed, let all them singers and players be blessed. Unless they call for violence and strife, of course.

Are you serious that's their weakest album. Even the band hate it. In the book that came with the huge Loud N Proud boxset, they said it was an album their manager or agent at the time forced them to make. He was a huge Dan McCafferty fan and wanted them to make a Dan McCafferty solo album that even Dan didn't want to do. Pete Agnew only played on 2 of its tracks. Every album that came after Snakes N Ladders (No Jive - Tattooed On My Brain) was a million miles better.

Carl Sentance is a step in the right direction in restoring Nazareth's legacy , they need to replace the guitarist , think Phil Campbell from Motorherhead
One thing I have to add is I think for Hair of the Dog the guitar player needs a talk box. I'm guessing you probably has one but instead of seeing it correctly he just sings the word, yeah, over and over again. Sorry it said yeah instead of the actual word that it says in the video. It's my voice input on my tablet that's making it say that. And not the actual word the talkbox or whatever he's using for the guitar is singing.
Unbelievable anyone complains about this current lineup. Somehow NAZARETH managed to replace Dan The Man McCafferty, but certain types can't hear, see, or appreciate that.
Agree totally . Carl is off course different ...More like Bon Scott and DIO . Can not ask to have Dans rawness ... noone in the world have that. So In my opinion Carl is perfect...rock on !

I don't know where they got the singer from and to be honest with you he sounds really good so I don't care. Do not say rap Nazareth cuz they're still around. They're not dead. Well one of the musicians maybe dead but the band itself isn't. Just because Dan left to start a solo career because of his health does not mean that it's not Nazareth.

Great job done by new singer Carl and the band. (Seen Naz live 5 times before with Mc Cafferty ) Think lot of bullshit talk here. Noone can beat Dan on rawness but Carl is easily better than Bon Scott or Axl Rose...What more do you ask for? And this is just his first time in a new band. Some ppl are just stupid......

That's what I've been trying to tell these people for the last few minutes now. Unbelievable that everybody would disregard that and save it in your needs to stay in the band. They're saying it's not Nazareth without him? I can't believe this. I've been trying to tell them over and over and over again that he has health issues so started a solo career but nobody listens keep in mind I just posted it a few minutes ago so I don't think anybody would anyway right away. But even if they don't I don't care. I said my piece.
It's not just you. I think it's the sound quality of the recording. It's the equipment that the guitar player has to work with. He does a very good job for the equipment he has to use and what he's able to do but man, I think he really needs a banshee talk box or a heil like what Peter Frampton uses. That would really help him out a lot because right now in some places that sounds distorted. There's a few occasions Riyadh to use the wah-wah pedal because my guess is the other thing that he was using for Hair of the Dog broke or something like that.

Daaaaamn Carl does most of the songs really good!!!! Really great to see the band in such a great state! They deserve a bigger crowd.
The only song that Carl did not do as good as he could, IMO, is "Dream On". He has everything in his voice to do it much better, he sings it in a weird happy/acting way.

I went to see these guys live a couple weeks ago and they were great. This show is a little off from the performance they gave that night. I've read that Dan McCafferty gives them his blessing, so I think you should be able to as well.
Also, this is anything but a cover band. Manny Charleton left the band in 1991, and Jimmy Murison has been with them as his replacement since 1994, I think that makes him a proper member of the band. As for Lee Agnew on drums, yes that's Pete Agnew's son, he's been the full time drummer since 1999 when he filled in for Darrel Sweet after he died from a heart attack. Carl Sentance is a great singer and frontman and you would be lucky to see this band live.
We cant call any band performing Naz songs Nazareth. Nazs singularity is a unique mixture of Dans screaming vocal, back vocal of Pete ( very important), and Mannys sliding guitar and his special way playing, a sort of howling. Nothig can be observed in this lot.

Sou muito fã de Nazareth, já vi eles 5 vezes ao vivo, e não tenho problema algum com esse vocalista! Ele agita ao vivo e canta muito, parece um bastardo entre Bon Scott e Bruce Dickinson, haha. Deixem o Dan descansar, e quem não gostar do Carl Sentance, que não vá ver mais show deles! Simples assim o/

I am a Naz fan since 1984, so I wanted first to add up to that "this is a cover band feat. an original member", and Dan's vox is really unique, and it was bad enough when Manny left... but indeed, let all them singers and players be blessed. Unless they call for violence and strife, of course.
Been a huge Nazareth fan all my life and must say I am pleasantly surprised how much I like this new band. Keep it alive boys!

Are you serious that's their weakest album. Even the band hate it. In the book that came with the huge Loud N Proud boxset, they said it was an album their manager or agent at the time forced them to make. He was a huge Dan McCafferty fan and wanted them to make a Dan McCafferty solo album that even Dan didn't want to do. Pete Agnew only played on 2 of its tracks. Every album that came after Snakes N Ladders (No Jive - Tattooed On My Brain) was a million miles better.

Dan e Insubstituível, mas Carl tem feito um excelente trabalho e a banda, apenas com o Pete Agnew como integrante original continua fazendo shows pelo mundo. A mudança de vocalista é sempre um problema, mas se o cara da conta de cantar os clássicos que sigam em frente!! Vida longa ao Nazareth!!!!

Carl Sentance is a step in the right direction in restoring Nazareth's legacy , they need to replace the guitarist , think Phil Campbell from Motorherhead
One thing I have to add is I think for Hair of the Dog the guitar player needs a talk box. I'm guessing you probably has one but instead of seeing it correctly he just sings the word, yeah, over and over again. Sorry it said yeah instead of the actual word that it says in the video. It's my voice input on my tablet that's making it say that. And not the actual word the talkbox or whatever he's using for the guitar is singing.

I don't know where they got the singer from and to be honest with you he sounds really good so I don't care. Do not say rap Nazareth cuz they're still around. They're not dead. Well one of the musicians maybe dead but the band itself isn't. Just because Dan left to start a solo career because of his health does not mean that it's not Nazareth.

Great job done by new singer Carl and the band. (Seen Naz live 5 times before with Mc Cafferty ) Think lot of bullshit talk here. That's what I've been trying to tell these people for the last few minutes now. Unbelievable that everybody would disregard that and save it in your needs to stay in the band. They're saying it's not Nazareth without him? I can't believe this. I've been trying to tell them over and over and over again that he has health issues so started a solo career but nobody listens keep in mind I just posted it a few minutes ago so I don't think anybody would anyway right away. But even if they don't I don't care. I said my piece.

It's not just you. I think it's the sound quality of the recording. It's the equipment that the guitar player has to work with. He does a very good job for the equipment he has to use and what he's able to do but man, I think he really needs a banshee talk box or a heil like what Peter Frampton uses. That would really help him out a lot because right now in some places that sounds distorted. There's a few occasions Riyadh to use the wah-wah pedal because my guess is the other thing that he was using for Hair of the Dog broke or something like that.
