Rarity's VA, Tabitha St. Germain, can do a ton of voices and accents, which is why she voices like 60 characters in the show (for example: Granny Smith, Princess Luna and Photo Finish are all her). But she doesn't sing much, at least not with the range that Rarity's songs require, so they got Kazumi Evans to sing for her instead. By the way, the way Rarity speaks is called the Transatlantic Accent. It's a fake accent designed to sound halfway between American and British, that people used to learn in order to sound fancy. I think in-universe this is the Canterlot accent, which Rarity learned despite not being from Canterlot, because she aspires to be with the high society there (incidentally, that's what this episode is about).

"Becoming Popular" is one of my favorite season 2 songs! and finally Rachel Bloom did a brilliant performance as Autumn Blaze especially with her singing voice it was truly magical!!!

Kirins are a creature in Asian mythology, resembling deer and dragons. They’re primarily Japanese but in Chinese they’re referred to as Qilin.
They are horse dragons - and I believe they’re actually primarily Chinese and Kirin is just the Japanese spelling
