I've got a problem with the piece on the car body that top of the doors seal against. I hope it doesn't come to this, but it's good to know the option is out there.
+Eric Hotchkiss Are you talking about the inner weather strips that basically go around the door frame? I had a problem with them cracking and peeling and realized that the part that was cracking and pealing could be taken off and there is basically just a lighter gray underneath the cover. Not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but that's what I did. Hope that helps.
ruclips.net/video/j1KY3XCnSco/видео.html I go over it in Part 1. The rear weatherstrips are even easier to remove than the front. Basically just get a plastic putty knife and gently pry them up and off. I tried to comment on your other comment but something went wrong. Your suggestion for using Rustoleum Rubber coating was excellent so if you could repost your comment I'd appreciate it. Thanks for your comments and suggestions! =)
I missed the part too on how to remove the weatherstripping. I have a '98 Camry and the tabs at the ends that lock it down kept breaking when I tried to remove them. Does the Corolla have the same tabs? If so, how do you remove it without breaking the tabs?

Thanks for your question, good luck with your project!
