Good reviewer, maybe the best one I’ve seen so far. I agree that this looks like “a heavy rework of the old model.” There is a lot of styling still present from the previous generation.
Really dissapointing. The 8th generation had a great unique aggressive sporty look to it, both in the front and in the back particularly with the XSE trim and the quad-exhausts, the only issue was the severly outdated interior. Now in the 9th generation you've updated the interior (and it looks very nice I must say) and completely botched the exterior. We're back to the camry looking like every other boring sedan out there with the added "bonus" of it looking like a Prius... Why on earth is a higher-end model mimicking a lower-end model... And don't get me started on ditching the 8-speed transmission for a CVT and making all trims hybrids. If I WANTED a PRIUS, I'd BUY a PRIUS. Guess I'll have to buy a used 8th gen Camry in the future and gut the interior myself. Or just go with a Honda...
Good improvements but I think Toyota has been pushed by car enthusiasts to push for a very low ground clearance. I think sedans should have more ground clearance.
Initially i was excited for this redesign. The interior i like a lot. The exterior i like the front end....the rear is boring and reminds me too much of a Subaru legacy. Hmm, not sure about it. But the previous Camry never appealed to me much either because it was too aggressively styled for this kind of car. I do like the panoramic roof of this new one though.
It's certainly a car, that's for sure. Better looking on the inside, less over-styled on the outside. Interior of the Prius is nicer though, IMO. I hope they didn't pull a Honda and not offer a higher powered variant. The top of the line Accord only has 204hp.
Not sure why you think the interior of the prius is nicer? I dont think you can get ventilated seats in the prius and i dont think the prius has a powered passenger seat or dual zone ac. Also that moonroof is huge! And you get a lot more headroom in the Camry than the new prius. Also the rear air vent is a great feature on the camry missing in the Prius.
The 11th gen accord grew on me after they released it. I ended up buying a 10th gen 2.0t because they killed it off in the 11th gen. I don't like the Camry 8th or 9th gen look. Not that great, it gone BORING. Same exterior likeness as the 8th Generation Camry except the front fascia changed a little and no more rear fake vents. The recent Toyota Corolla front fascia is similar. Made the tail lights design worse. Interior is uglier. Strange shaped cup holder, brought the Infotainment Head Unit into the dashboard which is good but not seated in very well at all with a warped cover over the screen. Misplacement or assignment of Hazard Light switch no longer centered, the button is smaller and harder to find. Steering wheel is very strange looking. Appears to have a full digital instrument cluster which I do like. Still have the overrated and not Premium JBL sound system. Will the 9th Gen Camry have better high res cameras and backup camera, automatic folding side view door mirrors? Sorry, I have no intention of buying any Hybrid or EV. Bring back the Naturally Aspirated gasoline engines such as the V6 and V8, I might reconsider. The 2025 redesigned Camry is terrible, more disastrous than to like. As for the 8th Gen Camry just need to purchase Ottocast U2-X Pro dongle for Wireless Car Play and Android Auto. I'm happier and more satisfied with my 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded and will definitely pass on the 2025 Camry. I knew that this car was going to be a disappointment, it's clear that Honda and Toyota as lost interest in making midsized sedans, Honda simply didn't even try with the new Accord and Toyota couldn't even be bothered with making an all new Camry. Toyota build very reliable cars, I had one and couldn't kill it. However their styling still suffers from looking like a StarWars Storm Trooper helment.
Again, Toyota does not care about your life as Toyota keeps using those Horrific and Dangerous Bridgestone Turanza EL440 tires for several years now. Shame of Toyota endangering peoples lives.
Guess I better go and grab a used v6
I knew that this car was going to be a disappointment, it's clear that Honda and Toyota as lost interest in making midsized sedans, Honda simply didn't even try with the new Accord and Toyota couldn't even be bothered with making an all new Camry. Between the two companies they would much rather sell you a CR-V or Rav-4 rather than a midsize sedan.
Gotta give them credit though for sticking with the sedan segment unlike Ford, GM and Chrysler soon. And they're good products too, it's not like you're ending up with a crappy product with either the Accord or Camry.
@@mov744In this day and age where cars are so expensive, I'm not making any excuses for any car manufacturer or settling, is either they bring their A-game or I take my money elsewhere, and that's exactly what I'll be doing with the new Accord and Camry.
@@deet4895 for sure. So in that case what more could Toyota and Honda do to bring their A-game? To me, whether you sit in a Camry or RAV4 or more so between an Accord and CR-V they feel almost exactly the same asides from the difference in ride height and maybe the lack of AWD in the Accord. Theres going to be some degree of shared materials and design throughout the model lineups for these brands, but no manufacturer would ever design distinctly different models throughout their entire lineup unless they're a super bespoke company.
Disappointment? Is you insane?
Disappointed? How? Making it affordable and Hybrid with available Awd and on top of that reliable AF. Good thing your opinion doesn't matter.
If you want something fun that puts smile on your face, good looking, better bang for a buck and lastfor 10-15 years get K5 gt, sonata Nline or Elantra N. If you want boring, ugly, but last longer than kia/Hyundai get camry or accord. I will never personally get camry or accord because I'd rather have something fun for 10-15 years perhaps even longer and then restart
I can see people choosing the hybrid rav4 over this by a huge margin. Sedans are a dying breed as it is and pushing the start point to $30k will be painful IMHO.
RAV4 hybrid is already starting at $35k, and it is not as refined as the Camry in terms of quietness and ride quality.
@@jml9550 people love their suvs these days. By pushing the start point closer to the RAV (vs previous years) it will likely steer some folks away from the Camry. Some folks are also not into hybrid powertrains either so the Accord may get some additional business. Guess we will see. Cheers!
@@jcecil4vt yeah I guess. I am not against SUV, just bought my wife a new Lexus NX350h hybrid. my opinion is loyal Toyota customers will continue to buy Camry no matter what and vice versa on Hondas. Camry are appliance on wheels which gets good MPG, good reliability and perhaps a little design excitement in the XSE trim. I have ride in both Camry Hybrid and RAV4 Hybrid. My preference is still Camry for its better ride quality and better NVH than the R4H.
Nah, grille's not big enough.
That grill looks like a wasps nest.
30k? Ill wait 20 years and buy it for 2000.
ill take this over a hundai
No full change, only face lift
30k is too much for a camry, this is a mistake. Only time will tell if I am wrong or not.
I think they should have kept a base model with no hybrid system. More options for people that just want a traditional boring car.
They kill the Avalon because was too expensive. Now the Camry is at Avalon price range@@mol3b0i8
25K for a VW Passat is a mistake.
CIVIC's are more than 30K. We are not in 2007 anymore. Get with the times
Have you looked at car prices lately?
This new Camry is sexy AF!
Idk, but lamp reminds me a KIA
They need to bring back the Camry "L" steel, wheels, manual seats and a simple radio.
I think this car looks FIRE! i own a 2010 and a 2022 both petrol 4 cyl, I hate hybrid!! don't want one, this could be the end of the camry for me :(
Everything is going to start going EV or Hybrid, that's just reality. And between the 2 I'd rather have a hybrid, especially if it's Toyota, who has mastered Hybrids.
Why hate hybrid?
@@TheLoneWolf449alternative fuel is the future
They hate hybrid and EV because they have never driven one. Comparing my wife new Lexus hybrid vs my Lexus V6, hybrid is awesome, double the MPG yet not a sacrifice in comfort.
Had a camry 2014 SE, Just bought a 2024 SE black......not ready for hybrid and that horrible CVT transmission .
I dig it
It’s HonDah and ToyOTah. There is no R at the end. It was driving me nuts.
Front bumper, need to be re design....lol
Did 2025 camry TOYOTA STEAL THE 2006 MERCEDES BENZ E350 4MATIC? LOOKS LIKE IT.
Sabar silahkan Menunggu keluar tahun 2025. 2024 saja belum.
Looks like a taxi on steroids
Nope, still needs a V6 🤷🏻♂️ turbos and hybrid batteries are not made for reliability, no replacement for displacement, EPA regulations are dumb, 4 cylinders were never the solution, and hybrids and turbos are especially not either, not in terms of long term reliability
Why are you mentioning turbos here?
@@ALMX5DP because that’s what we’ve come down to, 4 cylinders with turbos and hybrid batteries, which aren’t reliable in the long run, it’s all not the same as a naturally aspirated V6
@@jdm_dude9575 Toyota has been making hybrids since the mid 1990s. They've figured out the reliability. Plenty of NYC taxi cab Priuses with 250-300k miles.
@@CarShopping101 Good for them, but there’s a lot of people that don’t want a 4 Cylinder with no torque, there’s people who want the smoothness and power of the V6, cause let’s be real, 4 cylinder wears out faster the the V6 cause it has to work harder, and gas mileage is around the same if not for the hybrid battery that some people don’t want and that will get old over time and has potentially more problems than not having it
They could’ve just made v5 like Audi
Camry is already dead😢
nope so far this year it sale is number 7 among all cars SUVs and trucks
