My goodness. I like to think of myself as a British Rock Expert. I don't know everything about everything, but I do know how the sound of the instuments hit my ear in the original Beatles recording. You nailed it to a a 100% precision. I must give you my deepest blessing. The Beatle Gods are plucking those harp strings & looking down from music heaven. It Won't Be Long from 1963 would be Fab.
I see. Although I do have an official list, it is, unfortunately, a secret. However, I'll give you a major hint as to what my next cover will be: look at Andy Aleman's comment :)
Yup. Well, all I have on the platform currently is a snare drum and a high hat, while the bass drum I record separately. Sadly, I'm not able to fit a full 5 piece kit since the platform's only 51.5" by 45.5". I had designed and built the platform in a way where it was as large as possible, but at the same time still be able to fit the couch. I made the drum platform, as well as many other things in that room, about a year ago when I started renovating it. I may do a room tour sometime in the future :).
Are you micing the Gibson? Aside from Till There Was You, the Gibson J-160Es were played through Vox AC-30s and AC-15s on everything through at least With The Beatles. To learn more about this kind of stuff I would really recommend Anthony Robustelli's book, I Want To Tell You. www.amazon.com/Want-Tell-You-Definitive-Beatles/dp/0991519108 Also, just so you know - that Love Me Do promo video is blocked in the US. Here's an unblocked link I found of it. vimeo.com/188751884
Hey fifthbeatle, I try to play this song on my harmonica but I don't find the "cords" to play the full song. You play it very well. Where did you get those "cords" for the harmonica?
Hey Pia, thanks and great question! May I ask what key your harmonica is in? Mine is in the key of C in this cover, and if you have one in C as well then this video: ruclips.net/video/oOIrBXFUliE/видео.html is a great way to learn the correct tabs! One thing to keep in mind is that there's notes in this song throughout the middle eight that are normally unreachable on a regular diatonic harmonica (John's harmonica had a button that allowed him to reach those notes). So depending on what exact type you have, you may have to learn 'bending' techniques to reach those notes as I had to do in this cover :) Feel free to let me know if you have anymore questions!
Nope, this is actually a rare example of George Martin bringing in a session drummer named Andy White to replace Ringo for a song (As well as P.S. I Love You). He felt that his drumming skills were poor, or didn't fit the feel of the song, at the time. Go to the description and go under "Andy" for more info on that, really fascinating stuff.
@@l0serrr.r i think you didn't notice i was just kidding. He made a really nice cover and i made this joke by the fact that Macca is actually left handed.
Please read the description. A session drummer named Andy White had actually been used as the official drummer for the Album version of Love Me Do, due to Martin not being satisfied with Ringo’s version. Ringo only got to play the tambourines haha.
Poor Ringo. He must of been pissed when he had to do the tambourine😭😭😭😭😭😭
It took Ringo a long time to forgive George Martin for that!
Super Fan on concert still drums
There's a version featuring Ringo on drums
@@keithmoon3190Yes, they recorded with him on drums in 1962 and fortunatelly, they released this version on single. :D
The sound mixing is much better here! The bass is much clearer; the playing is also better. Can’t wait to hear what you’re going to do next.
Thanks!

you are so talented...thanks for sharing...Blessing and Respect
What great fun! One comment though: you need to make Ringo's tambourine sound more sad and frustrated! Seriously, great job!
Great cover! Now where's Anna go with him?
;)
On the please, please me
Your wish has come true, Andy!
@@fifthbeatle thanks for the Christmas gift and gave a happy new year

Hi! How did you edit this to put the four videos at the same time? :)
Can u do I saw her standing there

I know I'm late but your profile pic scared the living crap out of me.
Ringo was supposed to play the drums right?
Nop
Why?
Hi
Who’s andy
How did you add in the original vocals without getting a copyright strike?
Hmmm, im not quite sure. It possibly could’ve been because I had lowered the volume of the vocals and let the instrumental overpower it.
Well if you made the instrumental to close to the original, then it could do that.
That's very true as well. I guess its a combination of caution, careful planning, and luck.
Everyone
Who’s Andy?
Andy White is a session drummer who provided drums for this song.
and first I thought it was all their names, until I read andy
How about I Feel Fine? Now that's the song you can play with the whole drum kit.
poor ringo
There are serious timing issuses here.
Paul McCartney Ringo Starr John Lennon George Harrison the Beatles
Andy? You mean ringo

Super you are better than the Beatles
Wait, you can't make a paul's bass cover being right handed. Failed.
Bro. It doesn't even matter. What matters that he got the tune so close.
