For those here for performance metrics, the purpose of the video was to showcase visuals, not benchmark performance. I have enough videos showing full metrics and my FPS was capped at 60 and vsync'd for this video anyway, I didn't want a bunch of colorful numbers clogging up my screen for no reason. But if you must know, I get between 60-85 fps with the current settings depending on where I am in the game.
Absolutely love the cyberpunk mod videos. My games visuals wouldn’t be the same without your vids. Modding can be a ton of work from finding the mods to understanding their functionality to installing and testing them. Having all that work done and condensed into an entertaining vid makes my day.
I run the exact same settings as you (only difference for me is Lens Flares: ON) with my RTX 4070. Running with Nova LUT Pure 2.2 and the game looks AMAZING (and runs great)! Thank you for all the videos!
Still can't play lord's fallen without dropping fps maybe when the new cards come will have more stability this is with native 4k I really think most games are made to be ran on cards that come after the current cards The first game was like that couldn't max it with current cards until the 10 series came Gta couldn't be ran maxed at high fps until 20 series came This can't be played with every setting on high native with good fps 4k -1440p maybe when 50 series comes will fix that
Hey Krush, been a fan for a while, and I wanted to get your thoughts on Mango's Ultra Reshade! I find that the reshade really helps sell the tone of the game, as it makes the dark alleys and shadows more ominous and threatening, which helps contrast the neon-soaked cityscape that is Night City. It's one of the older ones, but I don't think anything really compares to the mood it sets, and Phantom Liberty really sells it, the dark atmosphere is so immersive. I'd love to see a comparison video going over some interesting mixtures of visual mods, highlighting different tones and moods for both Night City and the themes that Cyberpunk 2077 wrestles with. Maybe showcasing GITS' melancholic colours compared to NOVA's more realistic style, vs something more dark and foreboding. Cheers! :)
I installed the ultra plus better path tracing mod 2.0 performance variant on my alienware 3070 8gb laptop hoping for a fps boost. But my fps tanked severely. I followed your instructions on the video. Any help would be great. Thanks
Best thing about RT instead of PT is that the npcs in crowds just look so much better as there is no super low resolution GI bounce light hitting them and splotching their look. I pretty much just stuck to RT for most of the time because of that. Also there is way less ghosting with it. Does the Ultra Plus RT+PT still suffer from this problem or do npcs actually look proper with this?
Sadly after installing almost all same mods after your video, game lighting is broken even after deleting LUT-file - there's almost full dark in V room but on streets lighting is ok. Previously before these mods I used only Nova LUT and texture packs and all was ok.
Absolutely sick, even through YT compression. You are the go-to for Cyberpunk modding for me. A muted easthetic Night City kind of reminds me of Chinese cities for those that have been. I was thinking of what mod could dramatically improve street immersion and then it struck me. Getting npc's to walk WITH each other. Couples, friends, kids with a mom or a dad, family groups even. Crowd behaviour is still VERY odd, a city full of solitary mannequins. Some sick FP driving there as well haha. I've found myself driving more and more in FP now. Especially with the excellent Better Vehicle First Person Mod where every vehicle type can be individually tuned.
Thanks! Yes intra crowd interactions would make things alot more realistic, right now crowd is controlled almost entirely by a script, even with TME's psycho crowds tweaks, it's still just scripted stuff. I also use DFPCT to help with FP driving, it turns the camera ever so slightly to the left and right with your steering, makes a huge difference in situational awareness, I forgot to include it in the description, I use the buckle up tiltfix option. Give it a try and let me know what you think! www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13400
Why do you use 3 different texture mods for the environment, don't they overwrite each other somehow, or simply one of them is not enough to cover most textures?
I turned down bloom a little, added my own vignette removal and eye adaptation, most env's and mods that do that tend to also change more than that or are incompatible with one another, I wanted to keep things as vanilla as possible.
Hi, I just discovered your channel and I'm really enjoying it. In the future I will test the path tracing mod! Do you record your gameplay with Adrenalin? I have a 7900 XT, but I don't like the recording quality of the Adrenalin... I tested some recordings with OBS and found it much better, but OBS is quite heavy for recording at maximum quality... Any tips? 😅
Mainly for the VRAM management. Some mods I run atm, like Nova traffic with lots of modded cars and heavy swapping, eat VRAM for breakfast. MENC costs barely any more VRAM than vanilla(plus I like the bumpmapping) and ETO 2K costs less VRAM than hd reworked or xila's surfaces.
Vehicle performance in your game is amazing!. Your vehicles swerve and turn like they are on rails - especially at the speeds you're moving at. If any, what driving mod(s) do you use? Also, do you play with a steering wheel?
Nope, just regular mouse and keyboard. I forgot to include the mod i use for FP driving! It's called DFPCT, it turns the camera slightly left and right as you steer and adds a little camera inertia with the car movements, adds a ton of situation awareness when driving in FP. I use the buckle up tiltfix option. www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/13400
Hi @KrushSG - any particular reason why Manually Enhanced NC V2 should be given load order priority over Environment Textures Overhaul? And which version of Manually Enhanced NC V2 are you using? Only main file or "darker" options as well? Additionally - I see that you stopped using Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project. I personally got rid of it too. It is for sure a very good looking retexture mod, but even on a very high end PC it causes noticeable performance issues, especially in crowded areas like Megabuilding H10 interior or Totentanz.
krush can you do a guide video on vanilla plus-esque lighting mods that serve to retain the feel of the game without leaning too realistic/cinematic? such as vanilla plus ve, realcolorr3, nova lut vibrant, nge atacama and vpvi..
Nice showcase! A quick question: for the Environment Textures Overhaul and Manually Enhanced NC v2 texture mods, which one is prioritized in your mod order?
For the NPC and Environment Textures Overhaul, do you use the 2k or 4K versions of those? And how much of a performance hit does the 4k version cost on a 7900 xtx?
I went with full 2K, I had to step down from 4K cos Nova traffic(with lots of modded cars and heavy swapping) is an absolute VRAM hog haha. With the 4k variants I cap out my VRAM instantly in Dogtown and hover at Abt 21-22 elsewhere. With the 2k versions it's about 19-20gb in Dogtown and 17-18gb elsewhere
oh yes definitely, you may have to drop RT down to medium, but it's defintiely doable, the 7800x3d will help alot for stability in crowded areas, I still get the occasional stutter bomb using the 5800x3D. If you had to choose, 4070ti(super preferably) > 7800xt imo, nvidia tech wins out with DLSS, frame gen and ray reconstruction.
Nope, other than turn on windows spatial audio but I dont think that makes much of a difference in captured footage. I also have the game's soundtrack playing in the background.
Crowds don't really affect my avg fps, the problem with crowds is the sudden spikes where you'd change zones and get a 1-2s spike that sends CPU usage through the roof, fps tanks for a second, then it returns to normal. Which is why I don't have any density altering mods, I use Nova city without the density addon cos it killed my PC. That said, having both Nova crowds and Nova traffic installed does take a toll on my system, even locked at 60 fps you can visually see the couple of points where I get stutter bombed in the video.

At 2k it is not a bad performance result for that GPU. This is mine ruclips.net/video/hLI88qi-KKg/видео.htmlsi=UffSzM_4VjLVGlDf
