    Hey
I living to Haguenau and i love the history of ww2 and the easy company. For information the monument next to the river is the place where the american army has crossed the river for the 2nd liberation of the city beacause the bridges was destroye . Haguenau is last city in France to be libered.
The scene of the last patrol is on the left not far of the pont des juifs.
The place where Eugène is died is in the centrum of the city
    Sorry for my english

The Last Patrol was my favorite episode. Very emotional. From Jackson dying to the narration of Webster as he went from an outcast to respected again by his platoon.

The river in the series was way bigger than the actual one

Serendipity. Eight months before you went to Haguenau, I drove past there. On the way to Strasbourg and Colmar. I was on a Patton self-itinerary, his grave in Luxembourg, his headquarters there and in Nancy, Metz, etc. As I drove into Strasbourg I saw the sign for Haguenau, and wondered why it struck a cord.
I too am an avid Band of Brothers follower. Been to Brecourt Manor 5 or 6 times, the Crossroads once, Eindhoven once but not Neunen, Foy maybe 10 times. Too many. And I live in Asia. I guess I've got it bad.
Tonight, over two years after that, I saw Episode 8 again, probably 10 years since the last time I saw it. Haguenau. It clicked. Then I found your video. And you showed the maps, and the scenery, and the locations.
    Bravo!! Thank you.

Since the series was shot on an expansive set, maybe the producers visited, liked the look of the building you mentioned and videoed, and then recreated it to be on the German side of the canal? It certainly looks more 1940s France than the buildings that existed there in the late 1990s.

I read that much of the BoB destroyed-city scenes were filmed on the same sets as Saving Private Ryan's "Ramelle" scenes, which was custom-constructed on grounds of the disused Hatfield, UK airfield, which has since been converted into an industrial park.

Klasse! Ich war 2018 in Hagenau aber leider war die Zeit zu knapp um die Moder zu finden wo die 101St. den deutschen Posten überfiel.
