I would totally do something with the bottom of the kitchen island. Not just paint it, but have the whole thing done in maybe some beautiful Italian ceramic tiles. It would be a centerpiece showstopper.

In the nook by the stairs you could place a really tall good fake plant (a real one probably wouldn't get enough light there) so it's a nice bit of greenery to break up the space :) and somewhere else to hang fairy lights on special occasions! xx

I vote for cute floating styled shelves at the stairs! Like with cute plants and a couple of books. Nothing too crazy but just some greenery and accessories to freshen it up and create a focal point! We move into our semi custom build this week and I CANT WAIT!!!! This video got me even more excited than I already am. Congrats you guys. It's beautiful :)

Congratulations to you both! I love the little details of the space. Your under the stairs cabinet and the closed door toilet are both amazing! For the little nook by the stairs, I would put a large plant for now. In the future, I would make a magical kids space with some shelves and a mural.

We have a little "Harry Potter" closet under our stairs as well! We removed the door and put a baby gate across. It is our dogs room and he loves it! It's a super cozy den for him. We also decorate it for Christmas lol! Congrats on the new home xx
