Korean standards are so brutal and critical that despite being so popular and talented AleXa didn't feel like she was a star despite making it. Snoop is such a kind man, absolutely hyping her up making her realize yes, AleXa what you're doing is incredible. Her win was beautiful, and having been on Produce 48 and knowing the hard work going in thanked her dancers and finalists, and Snoop made sure to keep the momentum going and hype AleXa up too. Amazing.

Honnestly when you compare your regular american pop/european pop stage performance only a few get even close to Kpop's level of staging. Kpop is on another level, pop has to catch up fast !

I love her music and stage presence, but I guess I'm on the fence about why she'd want to enter into an American song contest when she's already a dominating artist in Korea. 이들의 음악 감상 능력은 거의 허수아비나 다름없다
실체가 없다
아니 기존의 상업적 세력들이 자신들 경제적 이익위해
짜 놓은 촘촘한 그물망에 그대로 걸려들어
그들의 이익에 봉사하는
꼭두각시적 집단들이 다름아닌 현 국내 잘나간다는 아이돌 팬들 집단이라 해도
과언 아니다
이들 젊은이들이 주체적 판단하고 주체적으로 음악 감상하기에는
현 한국의 음악시장을 좌우하는 세력 특히 언론매체나 기획사나 음악평론가 연주가들의
케넥션이 너무 밀접하고 광범위하기에 사실 불가능에 가깝다
이들이 한국 젊은 아이돌 팬들에게 심어놓은 세뇌적 환상들을 이제와서
깨기에는 그리 간단치 않다
가요계 특히 아이돌 중심인 K-Pop 음악세계에서 그들이 이익 낼수 있는 상업적 환경을 조성하고자
여러 방송 매체의 오디션 프로젝트 통해
조직적이고 집요한 공작들이 장기적으로 행해졌고
무방비적으로 이들에게 노출된 젊은이들의 음악감상력은 치명타 입어서다

돌아 가는 현 한국내 주류 K-Pop과는 달리
알렉사란 예술가가의 등장이 왜 시기적절하고 통쾌하고
하나의 반란이자 위대한 혁명인지를
알렉사 광팬 돼어버린 나는
앞으로 여러각도에서 이런 기조하에

I love her music and stage presence, but I guess I'm on the fence about why she'd want to enter into an American song contest when she's already a dominating artist in Korea. She clearly had the highest production value/cost of any other performer on that stage, it just kind of feels like she came in and sandbagged the competition. (Just my opinion, and I'm happy to stand corrected).
Ah so let me explain (kind of late) we had many popular and famous artists represent different states, including Michael Buble whose a huge international star. She’s American and has never grown up in Korea, so this was her chance to go back to her roots
