@@joshuadowling8778 OK you were around towards the end. I was there through the flower power years. I was BFF's with the original drummer.
Thanks for the upload!!!! Greatness of RUclips!!!
They’re so rock n’ roll in the best comedy way of doing it, awesome Spinal Tap.
Derek's mustache and chops are so reminiscent of Rod Price from Foghat.
Reppin' the Soundgarden shirt!
Saw that in the thumbnail and came to comment. Fuck yeah!
Badmo'uhfing'uh
Soundgarden have actually done a cover of Spinal Tap's Big Bottom

The only reason I watched this.
A comment 5 years ago still lives. Hell yeah.
Watching and listening to Charles Gibson sends me back to my childhood. Getting ready for elementary school in the morning.
I remember I was at Haight-Ashbury in '69 when I first heard "listen to what the flower people say"... Changed my my life forever man.
“Her name was Janine?” “Still is, yeah”
Gold.
Love Spinal Tap interviews they are just entertaining...☮🔥
Jeff Beck totally stole Nigel Tuffnels look! Not to mention all the guitar riffs!
Very impressed with Charles Gibson in this interview! Dude could hang with the Tap. He was obviously well prepared and did an admirable job playing it straight, only cracking a smile a few times. Pretty quick on his feet too, especially considering who he was talking too. Great interview.
"If you can't make it on your own then you're getting mature."
Strangely profound.
I guess once you realize what it takes to make it and have the personal awareness and honesty with self to realize you ain't got it... yeah, pretty mature. Well, a bit anyway.
Maturity 👉 is when you look back and realize
you were wrong on just about everything
Philosophical and comedy genius!
"The director had an agenda to grind." "Atypical and too typical." "That's where maturity comes from is realizing uh oh," Non-stop brilliance.
After calling the movie a "hatchet job" knowing that the phrase is "axe to grind"
better that than a hidden axe.
And "a) such and such and TWO, (such and such)". (such and such-I dont recall what he said exactly)!
@@granthurlburt4062 🤔😅😅
atypical and two typical is one of the best jokes in the whole interview and almost completely swallowed up by the rest of the brilliance.
Outstanding, Everyone was so in tune and quick to pick up lines.
"They were A-typical and Two-typical." These guys a amazing.
Lighting fast that Shearer.
bdefx3, you are AWESOME for uploading this. A thousand thank yous!!
How they manage to keep straight faces all the way through is just fascinating.
A folding wine glass - This is absolutely brilliant -Thank you for posting !!!
Still one of my favourite films.
The movie was a good 15 years ahead of its time. Shame, we had people thinking Napoleon Dynamite was good and never saw Spinal Tap.
Younger twin brother...
Credit must be given for their accents. A great film too.
Have yet to see the movie. After watching this I need too.
God St Hubbins (McKean) reminds me of Rick Parfitt from Status QUo here.
The joke should have been "we got the younger twin drummer now. By 20 min. But when we play theres a bit of delay."
Then David St Hubbins became a lawyer in Albuquerque
he is the actor who become elder brother of saul goodman/james mcgill in better call saul
This made my day
What made TIST so amazing is that almost the entire movie was ad-libbed on the fly. On the Marshall Amp: Marty “why don’t you just make (amp volume knob) 10 louder? Nigel: (long pause)… these go to 11! Brilliant and embedded in our culture. How good is it ? An 11 OMG I’m dying here 🤣
Are you serious?... lmao. That’s amazing and wonderful.
This day began a bit off track.
Then I watches "Justin Hawkins Rides Again - Pull Your Head Out Of Your A** & Enjoy This".
Which took me to " Spinal Tap - Big Bottom"..... and this.
Now I´m In tears for all the right reasons and back on track.
The remainder of this day will be a good day.
Justin Hawkins Rides Again a great channel!
David St Hubbins rocking a Soundgarden T-shirt.... Soundgarden would often perform a cover of Spinal Tap's Big Bottom in their live shows of course!
