This was Keith Floyd in his pomp. Still missed. He promoted simple, delicious, traditional cooking more effectively than anyone else at the time in the UK. A true character, not without his faults (who isn't?). I'm still always happy to share half an hour with Floyd.
Of all the places he travelled to this county was his favourite,,he liked it so much he moved here and lived for the rest of his life..food capital of Ireland, ,Cork.
@union310 ah, I'm here for this show's edible content not the political ramifications of a corrupt corporation that airs this program. But thank you. Cheers.
Still can't find this on a cafe or restauant menu anywhere...Mashed potatoes and carrrots with corned beef is delicious. Lots of mustard on the side...
I'm sure i typs with a "yankee" accent, but y'all sure crack me up with your ,cockney is it, accents, even typed it strikes me as kind of funny. Anyhow, i think i would love to visit and partake in some of your rich old seafood or beef dishes. I have always been rather thin but know i would pack on a few pounds a week over there across the pond!!
If you watch the other episodes from this series you will hear the dog yowl whenever Floyd throws something to the side, or the sarcastic "Ohh yeah" here here and there, plus other noises. It's hilarious!
Keith is my food hero. Because of his fabulous show I went to restaurant school also
