    This is how you get the trapped survival energy out of the system, this is how your body learns to metabolize the stress, move around the life energy, slowly dislodge it and reintegrate it back to the mindbody. Also how you reconnect to the body! But this is also how you bring up past trauma/old survival energy so it can get very tricky and better do with a practitioner!! You dont have to breathe or change your breathing pattern you breathe how you breathe for a reason & many folks will dysregulate further when trying to change breathing cause they get further into freeze/fight-flight. You can actually do too much somatic tracking & it can cause insomnia - increased sensitivities/mental disturbances until you process most of the old stress. No need to close your eyes either cause or some it can bring up disturbing images just a heads up!
    A couple of tips:
    1)You have to do this from a place of awareness, a part of you that has sovereignty and knows that its not the sensations,its not what comes up and can witness and hold space for all of that. Its a process that takes time, you are not the sensations, you are not the worried thoughts, there has to be first this separation of the identity from the survival roles. Otherwise if the system has too much locked up energy and you approach this when you are inside a limbic loop you can dysregulate further. There is a part of you that not afraid, not traumatized and that can see and hold space. Your attention has to slowly stop identifying with the mind processes/thoughts/survival roles and drop towards the body. It can take time.
    2)Do this with a sense of curiosity, acceptance. Do not force things to come up and do not open doors that are not opened yet.
    3)Having the knowledge that anything that comes up during tracking is safe. Its in the past. Its not real. Its like PC data exiting the system. Do not get caught up in the stories that comes up, do not identify with the energy or emotional leftovers resurfacing.
    4)The body can do a lot of crazy things during this like twitching, shaking, trembling, crying, burping, having images come up, temperature changes etc. Start slow. All these are safe. I had to tell myself that i cannot actually hurt my own body haha.
    5)Always rest afterward, ALWAYS. The system needs time to settle and recalibrate, you just processed stored stress, take a break!! Your system will be more sensitive as this energy comes out. Its like a soul workout.
    6)After tracking move/put your attention to something neutral/calm/positive. You were in the 'negative sensation' so now you move towards something positive. Swing back and forth. If you dont know how to calm yourself , first aim for this. I know there was nothing calm in me during this procedure, i had to release a lot of trapped energy to actually get some calmness.

      Your body will not release if it senses danger whether it is physical/environmental/emotional triggers or stuck mental thoughts that perceive danger (negative thoughts about life/past) so you might need some mind work as well to shift/redirect perception and thoughts. Also will not release if too stimulated from triggers/electronics etc. Or if you are too identified with old survival roles/protective parts of your personality. Its a very tricky process & everything comes out in waves which you gotta ride.

      @TDK.92 Год назад +2

      Also any advice on how to separate from the actual sensations and be in the observer position? Cause feeling those sensations is incrediblly overwhelming and I often get lost in the, which leads to further disregulation. Would be very grateful for any advice 🙌🏽🙏🏽

    • @meaz7216
      @meaz7216 Год назад

      @@TDK.92 No but i got a bunch of programs both on retraining & somatic experiencing, read lots of books & ton of mindbody vids on yt which wasnt doing much lmao. But somehow i got through to my true self and tapped into the sequence that my body holds to release things in its own natural way. There is a rhythm to this and an order that each body/soul will release stuff. Releasing with exercises like orienting or others that guide you in the classical somatic experiencing way can be too aggravating for a very sensitized system i had at the time.
      So my body was like speaking to me saying like 'nah lets not do this grounding exercise' and it took days till it wanted to try somatics again. But if you fail long enough you start seeing when you are triggered and what is being triggered is not your true self & little by little the theory & everything started to click like a puzzle and got back to my true self. And then knowing that underneath there are unfinished stress cycles & motor movements that the body wanted to do when was perceiving danger. I got my mind outta the way and allowed the body to release without resistance & allowed the sensations to move and complete their cycle. Very tricky & long process Its simple but not easy. Hope it makes some sense! Somatic tracking is a good tool that helps you understand how to do this but can be scary at first.
      Also worked with my mind by redirecting/not believing/not going into negative thoughts/emotional loops etc. A blend of both approaches .

    Somatic tracking is a wonderful tool and you did a beautiful job explaining it. However, one point of language that can be important is, when you are brain re-wiring you don't want the goal to be avoidance of the thing causing it. Understanding and acceptance of where you currently are but not for the purpose of eliminating those things, people or situations from your life. This is a fear response and drives the underlying reasons the person is experiencing them to begin with. A curiosity about the symptoms is good and making connections is also just fine as long as your response to those connections isn't the need to get away from them but instead to rewire them through incremental training. Sometimes there are relationships that need addressing and patterns that aren't helpful in our lives but ultimately teaching your brain and body that you can handle any situation is a good mindset. Something might not be in your current training zone but knowing that it will be one day. Anytime we go into avoidance it drives the fear response. It might help for a time but will dig in those symptom neural networks further in the long run.

      The brain heals from the medications - but you can do many things to help yourself and somatic tracking is a wonderful one! There are also some wonderful videos and articles to help you with anxiety, but rewiring the brain is key. I had a ton of withdrawal symptoms from being prescribed benzos for years - which disabled me until I tapered off. I healed 80% from 5 "incurable" diseases that were in fact caused or worsened by the medications. I went from crawling - my blood pressure was sometimes so dangerously low - to dancing. You'll heal too, and learning somatic tracking, meditation like Chi Gong, and other ways to calm your central nervous system and move out of Fight or Flight to Rest and Digest is invaluable. Best of luck!

Over time, doing these exercises plus many other CNS relaxing techniques, I can now deal with some triggers more easily.
