Raelan, do you realize you are becoming one of the main power players in the chronic illness world? You are providing hope and more importantly resources to those that would otherwise not have access to anything. Please don’t stop! Keep up the “all killer no filler” you are awesome
Im about 80 percent recovered, your channel and many others helped. Once i realized it was the nervous system, i had hope and slowly started recovering as i built confidence on the improvements. Also noticed the faster you lose the fear, the faster you heal.
I'm so close to full recovery. The only time I experience symptoms is when I do something out of the norm and get fearful of symptoms. Yet, I literally hiked a mountain a few weeks ago because I was having so much fun and had no symptoms!! You are absolutely right. I just have to remember this info you shared and not let the new activities scare me. Thank you for all of your research. Super grateful for you.
im in exactly the same boat and have been for a few years. very recently, i discovered i have a fear of stress because it can bring on symptoms! it was right there in front of me for years! time stress and unexpectedly being 'blindsided' by other people especially. Are you like me in that you can, with enough hindsight always figure out how you contributed to a relapse? My most recent one has lasted 5 weeks -longest in years! because i put too much time pressure on myself to finish pre-study with view to starting a course in march XD The course has practical placements, so i want to get the theory under my belt n solid so id only need to focus on practical skills and social aspects. I was studying every day for 3 weeks, no rest, helping mum with her horse stable mucking out 2x weekly cos she has bad back, was doing REALLY well, driving etc feeling 'adult' n final straw was mum taking me to see 2 of her clients and the hyper-excited joy and enthusiasm i felt in the conversations with them tipped me over XD
Acceptance of my symptoms was HUGE. It pulled back the intensity of them and some symptoms disappeared altogether. I am safe. I am ok, even though I may not feel like it in this moment. Thank you so much for all you do to help ❤. Sending big healing to everyone on this path ✌️
Raelen, I truly believe I might have fully recovered! I am at least a true 95%. I have just completed a 3 day 2 bedroom full house move basically all by myself and there's no crash. I just feel very tired at the end of the day (like a normal healthy person!!) I have no issue being upright, I have no intense pain, my vision is clear. It didn't all happen overnight, but my ability rapidly improved once I reached those small periods symptom free upright. Overjoyed to say the least. I am forever grateful to you for sharing your content, it helped me thru the 2 month long bedrest crashes when I would start to lose faith. I always believed I would recover, I made the sacrifices, I let myself be bored, I suffered every day but kept a smile and gratitude and noticed glimmers. I did it 💖 I hope everyone here finds their path with the most ease possible. "I am safe, my body is fine. I trust the process" "Dont worry, we are safe (nervous system), let me show you (pace and prove safety)".
I am still getting some loss of appetite and a bit of insomnia, nothing so bothersome for me. But I have been able to have the music loud for a while again now! And I can drive a lot again! And apparently work my body like a pro mover, so I'm looking forward to upping the fitness! A few months ago I really noticed that shift from absolute fatigue to general tiredness, that was exciting! Anyone reading this, you can do it too. You just have to reset the malfunction in your NS danger threat assessor. Overflow it with safety, optimism, faith, trust - keep pouring until it's so watered down it's no longer in the cup. Accept today, notice the glimmers of good things. You can do this. You are healing everyday.
Thank you Raelen. I dream of recovering soon and having an interview with you. I will make a full recovery and switch this hypervigilance off. I don't need to be scared anymore. Thank you for everything that you do ❤ if you read this please pray for me
I look forward to that day and that interview! Reach out anytime, there's a link in every video description to get in touch about coming on the channel ❤
I watch this video almost everyday since you put it out. It’s the best I’ve ever heard all of this information be summarized. It calms my nervous system to hear you say “it’s always nothing” “it’s just a false alarm”. Thank you, Raelan!
Trust the process. I teared up in the end when you reinforced that we are actually ok now. It’s so easy to forget that when you’re dealing with these terrifying symptoms. My brain is stubborn but I KNOW I’m on my way out of this the more I teach it these things. Thank you for all the work you do. ❤ hang in there, everyone.
Stay neutral to whatever symptoms come up not just fear. Also gently increase activity, then pull back when symptoms get high, stay neutral, then gently add in stimulus again
Hi Raelan, I have been watching your videos for a couple of months now. I have CFS & Fibromyalgia. As per my nutritionist, Karen Hurd, they are caused by adrenal fatigue. This is why we can’t tolerate caffeine. I could not begin to recover until I quit it (156 days & counting) I have a lot of stiffness, too, which I recently discovered is because fascia, which covers the entire body and is responsible for movement, gets damaged by high cortisol. So I am doing fascia release, too. My point is: it sounds like what everyone is suffering from is adrenal fatigue, leaky gut (which I also had & healed with GAPS intro diet) and fascia damage-all caused by stress (MANY forms of stress-one of mine was dietary insufficiency). I’ve come to believe that recovery is a MULTI faceted process-diet, exercise, stress management. In that order too! It’s been quite a journey but God is healing me and leading me. Thank you for all you do!
with me/cfs the adrenal fatigue gets kicked off by the autonomic nervous system being in dyautonomia. I too had to fix diet, i did paleo-keto with AIP. Regards body pain, i too recognised very similar to you, so i did deep tissue massage, then i did cranial-sacral osteo. then i did alexander technique. That took me from 2014-2020. Since then, during lockdowns, i was scared to do such treatments and i started with qi gong and gentle walks, now im doing yoga when im not having a relapse. but to start with, coming from being completely bedbound and unable to talk, think or speak for 90% of my waking day, doing activities to release the fascia tension/stress was to much for my body to handle. Im now able to tolerate 2 weak mugs of coffee each morning and eat paleo and yeah, my path has also been diet-posture-exercise-stress management is ongoing hehe just had a revelation that im scared of stress, esp time stress
@@kim-ys2fs Wow, I am so sorry you had to go through that nightmare! I was never bedridden, and I thank God for that. I am able to do the fascia release (called Block Therapy) but it is extremely painful. I am seeing some positive results but it does take a long time. There’s no way I’m ever putting that drug caffeine into my body again. It did sooo much damage, never again. Caffeine, since it raises cortisol, also damages the fascia; so does dehydration. Caffeine is an extreme diuretic. Now that I don’t drink it, I pee half as much as I used to even though I still drink the same amount of water. Withdrawing from it was hell for months. The depression it causes is insane. Caffeine is the devil!
Raelan you are an angel! Everything you say is true, at least for me. I have come a long way on this journey and the method works (doesn't matter how you call it). I use almost the same approach for one year, and it made me feel so much better. I still have some problems from time to time but you can not compare it to the time before. Losing my perfectionism was difficult but very important for me. When things don't run well, I try to learn at least one bit from it. This way, my suffering is not useless and it brings me one step further to my goal. Don't make your suffering useless! Learn, adapt and rise!
I believe it. Narcissistic father was and still is a menace. Beatings, night terrors....I suppress all of my emotions. At one point, it caused ulcerative colitis. I now have long covid & you've made a good point. I worked in the hospital during the pandemic & FEAR is the way I felt, then internalized it to cope❤ thank you!
I'm so sorry that happened to you. Trauma turns our Fight/Flight or Freeze/Shutdown states on 24/7, then we shove down our challenging emotions - which come out as pain and exhaustion. Trauma resides in the muscles, and as we release it, we begin to recover. Somatic trauma counselors can help too. You're in the right place!
Thank you, Raelan! I've been homebound since the start of 2024, and your videos have helped to stop fearing my symptoms. I'm starting uni again today, and I really needed the reminder ❤
Suffering from CFS and CSS since 2012. On the journey of recovery. Your channel has provided hope through all your content and interviews with those who have recovered. Thank you for the support you provide this community on the road to recovery!
I'm sorry to hear about all that you've had to go through. I hope you are slowly (or quickly!) finding the pieces you need for recovery. And thank you for your generosity, I very much appreciate it ❤
Great! In summary: 1. Understand where my symptoms come from 2. Eliminate fear around symptoms and activities 3. Slowly and gently resume normal activity
Your analogy of the fire alarms and our reactions to symptoms was GENIUS. As I get beyond a symptom, my brain comes up with a new one. The one I'm working on now is a real doozy & the whole fire alarm and learning to take it less and less seriously really hit the mark for me. And your closing comments about rapid recovery being the exception, and struggling yet still recovering, and having doubts and it's not that we'll one day BE okay, but we actually ARE okay. LOL That last one is profound. Thank you so much for all you do.
I know that feeling! As the fatigue of CFS/ME began to lessen and I was going out more successfully, my crocodile brain began throwing everything at me but the kitchen sink! Hot flashes, roving sensations, even occasional numbness which is rare for me. I was leaving where it had felt safe and exploring new directions - and as people often do in such situations, my brain seemed to be shouting "Change back!" But as I held my course and remained calm, and gently mocked "Croco Pops" with affection instead of frustration or fear, often the sensations faded away. Best of luck, and thanks Raelan!
Excellent! I am recovery and want to help others through this, but am not inclined to become a mind/body expert. So I point them to your channel which was the FIRST positive place I found talking about recovery. You are key to my recovery journey. Now, I'll specifically share this podcast instead of just your channel link. Thank you. Becky Grimmett 60 years old West Memphis, AR ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wonder I you would consider sharing your story on this channel or another format, people are often asking for examples who have recovered but not gone into coaching. Just an idea!
I’m still finding my way through my journey and have found your videos very helpful in helping me to find my way forwards Raelen. I understand how fear can have a negative impact, but I think it may be too abstract a jump to digest that fear itself is the causing the condition to sustain. It makes most sense to me to explain the cause and fuel of CFS/ME to be stress, or poor/comprised/overwhelmed stress response. It could well be said that stress is caused by fear, but there are also viral, physical, exertion and biological stresses at play - so it would be easier to understand and digest it in the context of stress - otherwise someone approaching this with less understanding (and looking for that quick fix) might think it was all in their head which I know was not your intention given all your other great videos. I appreciate you know far more about this than myself but hope you understand my point, and really appreciate the knowledge base you have amassed.
This was one of the best explanations that I have heard. It’s important to know that fast recoveries are rare. It’s been 1.5 years of using mind-body techniques and I am now maybe at 50% - 60% recovered. I am still planning on interviewing with you Raelan as one who recovered after the CFS longest time served! God bless all who have recovered and helped pave the way! 🙏
Well well well… THIS IS THE ONE..a beautiful and succinct explanation…. To be honest I was losing faith in this channel after sitting through interviews only to be hit with a sales pitch by the ‘expert’ at the end. Thank you x
I’m nine months into brain rewiring. And I just love it and it has saved my butt for sure. I love your videos though, they are such a good reminder. Thank you so much.
That was excellent!! Thank you so much for this! I say I'm not really afraid of anything, which is true, yet FEAR has ruled my life. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and most recently ME/CFS along with other things. Grateful on one hand that all the tests show that nothing is wrong but then wonder why I feel so awful.....this makes a lot of sense to me. I like that - a software problem or a false alarm. Thank you again for explaining this so simply.
fear has ruled my life too. Family, school, work etc. And i just discovered a fear of stress within myself! hehe! Therapy has been helpful identifying n realising other such gold nuggets that were also under my nose for years, changed some of the false narratives which i used to believe were true and believed they wernt damaging -oops! but the focus iv found most useful was teaching myself i could trust myself to keep myself safe.
Thank you! this is exactly what I need to hear right now. Had recovered in the past, but the last 18 months have been super stressful, and I've had several illnesses. I was sinking into a depression because of a lack of evergy and brain fog. I just need to focus on a couple of points to get well again. Thank you for your clear and simple explanation. 🙏
Raelan it is incredible how much you are providing for our community, all for free. This video was an excellent summary of how to recover - I am impressed! Thank you so much for your effort! You are amazing!☺🧡
Thanks Raelan for another great presentation! I think it is important to stress that 'retraining' can be a long process not just the flip of a switch especially if you been suffering for a long time. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you so much, dear Raelan, This was a fantastic video and summary with wonderful reminders. You have guided and helped so many of us. I am also happy you made a shout out to Dan of Pain Free You, his teaching was my missing link. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart.
This is a great, easy-to-understand summary of the problem we face and the solution. In a sentence, it’s all about a sense of safety or acceptance as a response. It takes practice but it’s do-able.
Nine months ago, I thought I would be bedridden. I needed a new way of looking at everything. I joined the Catholic Church and have changed my whole order of priorities. I am, today, at about 50% of normal, which is huge! I have functionality and can live life! Thank God
Yes, I went from atheist to christian (lutheran though😊) just because I needed a fundamental change. Now I go tho church every week, often twice or trice, and the peace and calm and feeling of safety I get from it has helped a lot.
@@josharounder you don’t have to believe at first. Just try to go to church as a matter of form without interior conviction. Don’t try to get yourself to believe but pretend that you do
@josharounder this is quite a harsh and unnecessary comment. And if you did not try it, you should not comment. I personally have found so much answers and comfort in the Bible and at times when I were too tired to read, God gave me some insight in some of the stories that have taught me so much. Even though I am not magically healed, I am a stronger, wiser and more compassionate human being because of this road that I am on.
You are so spot on with your healing wisdom. Totally love where you're coming from and that is your heart and your decision to be in service to others. I've been doing the same thing personally for the last 25 years and never carried medical insurance. I'm starting on this self-healing coach path now and I'm really excited about it. It will be specializing in neural disorders, like essential tremor, Dystonia, Parkinson's. I have a slightly different approach in that I also focus on beliefs, and shadow content but with the don't react to your symptoms method as a crucial corner stone. I agreed with every word you spoke here. Congrats on being a self healing angel and uplifting the vibrations of collective and pointing them back to their own power to self-heal. This is only the second video I watched of yours and I love your content. Great to know you're out there. I'll reach out to you when I am up and running. Well Done...Well Done! 😎😎
I dont understand this for my situation. At the beginning of my illness I did not know what it was and continued to exercise. I was not in fear or anxious. I certainly wasnt in fear of excercise or movement, if anything I felt better when exercising. However, I still got PEM regardless of not being fearful of the illness or having ant anxiety at all. Could someone please explain?
@@AG-nn8lp didn't have that before COVID. Seems to me, had COVID started to get PEM, then did more research. So I am still unaware how emotions of any sort would cause PEM
It can be like a ptsd of the nervous system. We can have an initial starter event/illness and our body gets stuck in the ‘we are sick’ response. So maybe not emotional fear response but a haywire nervous system response. Which we can still work with to calm it down.
@@taragunn9400 I've tried the calming the nervous system approach and it does nothing for PEM. Many others comment on this also. Calming the nervous system will only help to tolerate symptoms, it won't fix the underlying physiological issue such as connective tissue disorder or functional autoantibodies.
What about when there is structural damage? I suddenly developed vein valve damage after suffering with long COVID for three years. No doctor I’ve been to knows how this happened to me. I feel like there are people who THINK they have long Covid and people who actually have long Covid. Can I still heal even though there is structural damage to my veins? Reddit has a long haulers group with lots of people who suddenly developed bulging veins from Covid or the V. Are we all just imagining this? Is there any hope for us?
Thank you for providing this info. Its frustrating seeing this info being kept behind hundreds/thousands of dollars pay walls for sick people that can't work!!!
I had rewired my brain for pain already: I've had ME since '95 after Glandular Fever and today I know categorically that I can fully recover and that everything you say is true. I was resisting however this weekend my best friend came to stay: lots of time was spent sitting, laughing, chatting, not much sleep (insomnia), she left after 3 days and I'm good today 😁. If I were truly ill I'd be in PEM. I've been pacing, practice mindfulness etc which all help but I know now what you say is the truth. I've also joined FB pages and I could see quite clearly that most people have anxiety and this has led me to turn my critical eye inward. Thank you ❤
O. My. Goodness. I cannot believe this, Raelan - and thank you enough for this video! I kept laughing out loud with joy 😆, because when you asked questions I answered them for myself first, because merely several weeks ago I had this HUGE lightbulb moment (still going on, though 😜) about exactly this and have tried to explain it to others - but you do it sooo much better! And then you totally confirmed with your answers. Yaaaay! Now I know I am full on on the right path, doing the work "with lightness, ease and curiosity", as I heard from Alan Gordon. 👌👍💪 Cannot wait to see the body following suit. 🤩 Thank you, thank you, thank you - now I can just share the video. 👌🙏🤗😘
The same here. BUT: my sensations change all the time, depending on whats going in in life. So when either other symptoms or a clear increase in fatigue comes on I am reminded to to something differntly, for example somatic tracking - ANYTHING, really, that breaks me out of the fear-symptom-cycle.
A few months ago, before I really dug into any of this amazing online info from Raelan, I followed Dr Maisy Hill’s book on taking approx. 3 weeks complete rest (limit digital / big tasks - think holiday on the sofa). I thought, okay how can I possibly be more committed to recovery (that seems impossible!). Looking back and now with the help of Raelan’s channel, I realize that I came to an acceptance of symptoms, I stopped the boom and bust so, my brain could use this symptom less and therefore less fear too. I also gave my body more time in the parasympathetic no doubt and therefore more healing time for the body to do its work. It is working and it was so positive to see that. Now, I am using these strategies for all symptoms and to solve this fear based puzzle
I've listened to somatic trauma experts and they often disagree that everything is coming from the brain. They often say it's actually stored trauma in the body coming from the body. Irene Lyon is someone who often mentions this. This has also been my experience with brain retraining. Sometimes it's true that the retaining helps to rewire faulty associations, but not sure it helps everyone. I think there must be a balance between the two philosophies. What are yorur thoughts on this?
Terrific presentation, thanks. Where can I hear more about “staying in the neutral “? I have a post viral CFS for over 20 years worsened by Covid. I work closely with the public. My primary symptoms are cold/flu like. When I’ve been around someone who appears sick, even when they have known allergies, how do I know when my symptoms flair up of I actually am sick or expressing a functional illness response? I don’t want to dismiss the possibility I may be actually sick, and therefore contagious, but then again I don’t want to be feeding into a fear response either. I don’t want to cut the wire to the check engine light when I may actually be out of oil. I’ve subscribed to your channel and will continue to look for a way to approach this. Thank you.
Raelan Thank you so much for all your hard work.I love the way you break it down and I am so grateful that you offer so much free content because not everyone can afford some of the brain retraining courses. I understand what is wrong and I have got so much better but yes you need to stay patient and and understand your own journey. thank you!!!!! Rachel.x
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Cannot say enough how honourable and generous and intelligent and humble and important it is of you to have offered us this. I have just bought your course. Partly,.of course, because I want to know more, and I know I can rust your kindness and competence in this field. But also because I wanted to thank you, in some way, for all that offer us, SO OPEN HEARTEDLY and without expectation of reward. Good Woman: I SALUTE YOU.
Thank you so much for this Raelan 🙏🏻😊 and for all the work that you do. It is really helping me. I agree completely, listening to this information over and over from different angles from all of the different videos you post is really helpful. Your channel offers so much hope ✨
This was such an amazing summary of everything I’ve been learning over the last 6 months of my journey. I wish I had this in the very beginning and I know it will help so many people. Thank you for your work for this community, you are changing lives. ❤ PS I’m obsessed with your shirt! Where is it from? So cute
Dear Realan, do you still take some supplements to stay healthy and strong? My daughter is almost completely recovered but when she catches a flu or cold it takes her longer to recover and she has more symptoms than the rest of the family. Is this something that can recover as well? Thank you so much for your work ❤️
Who was the woman who had strong responses to words associated with pain, fear, unpleasantness [and boredom]? I'm asking cos I had this exact realisation myself and changed Excercise for Movement and Training to Rehearsing, Reprogramming or Rewiring and it makes so much difference for me so it made me really happy to hear someone else has come to the exact same conclusion and even swapped for the same word [Excercise vs Movement] Brilliant video, really hit home! Thank you for a great channel and inspiring hope and knowing there's a way forward even from these debilitating & all consuming conditions.
Hi Raelan, What does the early stages of recovery feel like? The LC lack of symptoms after attempting a challenging activity that I’ve been putting off but now lm thinking I was building up to in a mindful way. The activity had all the things that could cause a crash, physical exertion/problem solving/etc but my point is, the crash never happened. This is really confusing and un nerving as I don’t know how to react. I watched this video and I think I might be on the 3rd prong of the Trident. I have felt I might be progressing (I’m avoiding the ‘getting better’ title to maintain my current mindset) I truly hope this is the case but the possibility that I might be is ‘Heavy!’ What did Recovery feel like? I don’t remember any actual descriptions of the realisations your recoverers noticed. Forgive me if I’m wrong and picking the resonating from your videos has definitely been the way i am here and not bedbound. (Even though I’m messaging from my bed! I’m chilling, ok? 😂) L,R & Gratitude Fringe
thanks a lot for the wonderful insight you had shown in recovering from ME/CFS and how to adopt the brain retraining methods gradually and successfully. Hope these methods aid me in the recovery process! I thank you once again for the wonderful work you are doing and keep it going😍
Thankyou dear Raelan! I love you! Your videos are harbingers of hope. I love this one. Down to the bare bones. I heard someone say recently in regards to chronic anxiety that the nervous system has become oversensitized due to some stressor.
You’re the best Raelan! Thank you for all the work and love you pour into all of this!! 🩷 I thank the Lord I came across your channel I found you because of Roberto who you interviewed I’m so grateful to you, Dan and others who share their knowledge, who have impacted my life for the better to help get my life back! I’m recovering each day! I know I’m on the right track! God bless you and your beautiful soul to want to help all of us! 🩷
So are you suppose suppress emotions because they trigger symptoms or are you suppose to cry when your depressed with the whole shit of it!some videos like somatic tracking tell you to feel the sensations and also acceptance, then arnt you doing the opposite by also saying I AM AFFIRMATIONS because then your not accepting what’s going on? I AM 🫤 CONFUSED
Personally it has better worked for me to simply practice acceptance. Once I accepted everything and my whole situation, and surrendered to whatever may be, I finally shed some of the more devastating symptoms. If I think about it as fear that's not the right mindframe for me, although I do understand it's the fight/flight system.
I think of it as listening to my symptoms but not over indulging them. I feel you. I’m ok. We don’t need to tip further into fear around them. Like if a child scrapes their knee- acknowledge it and then move on , not hyper-fixate and call the ambulance for a scrapped knee.
I love you so much Raelan. You save me, over and over and over again. You give me so much hope. This is such a great video. Super succinct. Than you. Thank you. Thank you!! 🙏🏻✨🙏🏻
Hi I'm 20years into CFS I'm well on board with mind body but your video is still so helpful ❤ Love the hotel alarm, great reminder ❤ -for me to avoid overwhelm state which I hit often after I try to expand my life. I definately get benefit from mind training body but still get immune dysregulation wiping me out and feel stuck. But maybe further brain train would reduce chronic alarm state I am left enough to heal pathogens.
Hi! I'm struggling to understand why this is not psychological, where do you draw the line between these neurological symptoms and a psychological illness? Because recovery seems to be working through psychological tools... If anyone knows how to explain? Thanks for all the videos Raelan, for the first time I feel someone understands me
You're working through "internal body systems" tools, not just psychological tools. If you haven't already seen the linked interview with Dr Bostock he gets this across really well. Maybe others will chime in too. x
Jumping in and I'm not even sure what we're talking about: "Its all in your head?" Isn't there a possibility that the root cause has not been identified? I say this because it's more common for docs to say "all in your head" than find deficiencies. But there is value to looking at multifaceted approach.
It is very possible, I have Eds and small fiber neuropathy which doesn’t show up in regular testing, only in specialized testing once they suspect what’s going on
Saying it's a disregulated system, is NOT saying it's all in your head. Also, yes, everyone is different. Some people actually just have sleep appnea. The point is to make sure you've done all the tests for known diseases. Could it be an unknown one? Or course it can. But then why are some people recovering?

"THE BUILDING IS FINE, IT'S JUST THE ALARMS THAT ARE BROKEN"! Awesome analogy and awesome video! Thank you lovely ❤
Dr ramani helped me re dealing with my narc family members
You've got this, David! 🧡 🧡
Great insight on your part with your symptoms! Glad you found this helpful ☺
Thank you.

No filler, just killer. This perfectionist thinks you're doing a perfect job giving maximum valuable information in a short time. 😊 Thank you!
100% agree with this nuanced comment
I recently discovered i have developed a fear of stress.

Glad to hear it, Harry!
This is the answer and I will become well from ME/CFS after almost 7 years.

Glad it was helpful! 🧡 🧡
fear has ruled my life too.
Watching your little dogs snuffling in their bed is enough to put anyone in a relaxed state Raelan 😊 They're so cute ❤
Thank you so much for this video. Everything is clearer now. The problems aren't my activities, it's the fear. Big wow! Thank you so so so so much.
This is beyond helpful, I can’t express how grateful I am
Thank you so much, dear Raelan, This was a fantastic video and summary with wonderful reminders. You have guided and helped so many of us. I am also happy you made a shout out to Dan of Pain Free You, his teaching was my missing link. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart.
So happy to hear that! 🧡 🧡
This is a great, easy-to-understand summary of the problem we face and the solution. In a sentence, it’s all about a sense of safety or acceptance as a response. It takes practice but it’s do-able.
BEST VIDEO EVER. Thank you, Raelan. This gave me hope that one day the suffering and hardships can end.
Any tips for those of us that aren't dumb enough to believe in fairy tales for adults?
@@josharounder you don’t have to believe at first. Just try to go to church as a matter of form without interior conviction. Don’t try to get yourself to believe but pretend that you do
Happy for you! Rooting for you to get to 100%!
This is exactly how I recovered ❤
What has helped you specifically?
Unknowingly, your subconscious was working against you. You just weren't aware of it.
Fear of something else.....repressed emotions...anger, fear, rage... about ANYTHING.
You should try to get Alan Gordon on your podcast!
YES, PLEEEEEEASE!!!
Raelan, you are an amazing and precious gift 💗 I needed this video today. Thank you for this, thank you for all that you do.
Thank you for providing this info. Its frustrating seeing this info being kept behind hundreds/thousands of dollars pay walls for sick people that can't work!!!
Raelan, thank you so much for putting this together❤ This was such a helpful video! 😊
Thank you ❤
Oh, Raelan! Thank you so much for your research and making it public!!! ❤❤❤ I am on my way of recovery and I am so optimistic! 😊
O. My.
Cannot wait to see the body following suit. 🤩
Thank you, thank you, thank you - now I can just share the video. 👌🙏🤗😘

What do you mean with "when symptoms come up"? Because personally im 'always' tired. Its not as if my fatigue comes and goes.
With with your fesr responce that arises then
@@revelation12_1 all my tests are normal. I have done a lot
@@louiseadair3311 how are you feeling now, how much have you improved and what were/are you dealing with?
Thank you.
So if it's fear at the core, why does stimulus even if positive, increase symptoms and why does rest help? I'm confused
Raelan
Thank you so much for all your hard work.I love the way you break it down and I am so grateful that you offer so much free content because not everyone can afford some of the brain retraining courses. Dear Realan, do you still take some supplements to stay healthy and strong? My daughter is almost completely recovered but when she catches a flu or cold it takes her longer to recover and she has more symptoms than the rest of the family. Is this something that can recover as well?

Who was the woman who had strong responses to words associated with pain, fear, unpleasantness [and boredom]? I'm asking cos I had this exact realisation myself and changed Excercise for Movement and Training to Rehearsing, Reprogramming or Rewiring and it makes so much difference for me so it made me really happy to hear someone else has come to the exact same conclusion and even swapped for the same word [Excercise vs Movement]
Brilliant video, really hit home! Thank you for a great channel and inspiring hope and knowing there's a way forward even from these debilitating & all consuming conditions.
Hi Raelan,
What does the early stages of recovery feel like?
The LC lack of symptoms after attempting a challenging activity that I’ve been putting off but now lm thinking I was building up to in a mindful way.
The activity had all the things that could cause a crash, physical exertion/problem solving/etc but my point is, the crash never happened. This is really confusing and un nerving as I don’t know how to react. I watched this video and I think I might be on the 3rd prong of the Trident.
I have felt I might be progressing (I’m avoiding the ‘getting better’ title to maintain my current mindset)
I truly hope this is the case but the possibility that I might be is ‘Heavy!’
What did Recovery feel like? I don’t remember any actual descriptions of the realisations your recoverers noticed.
Forgive me if I’m wrong and picking the resonating from your videos has definitely been the way i am here and not bedbound. (Even though I’m messaging from my bed! I’m chilling, ok? 😂)

Glad you found it helpful, Nicole!
How do you stay calm if symptoms come on when you have plans?
I have been suffering from a spinal injury since 2013. The pain is unbearable.

Hi I'm 20years into CFS I'm well on board with mind body but your video is still so helpful ❤
Love the hotel alarm, great reminder ❤ -for me to avoid overwhelm state which I hit often after I try to expand my life.
Maybe others will chime in too. x

Jumping in and I'm not even sure what we're talking about: "Its all in your head?"
Isn't there a possibility that the root cause has not been identified?
I say this because it's more common for docs to say "all in your head" than find deficiencies. But there is value to looking at multifaceted approach.
It is very possible, I have Eds and small fiber neuropathy which doesn’t show up in regular testing, only in specialized testing once they suspect what’s going on
Saying it's a disregulated system, is NOT saying it's all in your head.
Also, yes, everyone is different. Some people actually just have sleep appnea.
The point is to make sure you've done all the tests for known diseases.
Could it be an unknown one? Or course it can. But then why are some people recovering?
The root cause is your amygdala and frontal cortex are out of balance. The amygdala senses danger in your body and sends symptoms to keep you safe
